Sleepy Hollow was fantastic. Beautiful and serene, great spaces. Hosts were charming and discrete. Breakfast was picture perfect too, the morning light in the dining room is enchanting.
A very nice B&B, great breakfast and congenial hosts. The house is very beautiful and quite large, the host he gave us a bit of a history of the house - quite interesting! It was decorated to its period and some very lovely antiques - a nice change from the usual hotel.
We were offered a menu for the breakfast...

Great location, the coolest house and superb breakfast. I would like to LIVE there.
We stayed at the Sleepy Hollow B&B on labour day weekend 2012.
The location is excellent and right in the downtown of Gananoque. The waterfront is very close by as are several restaurants and antique shops. It was a short drive to Rockport where we took an excellent 2-castle boat cruise/tour including lunch.
We would highly recommend this B&B over...

This lovely and comfortable B&B complements the theatre, scenery and dining in Gananoque. We have stayed at this B&B 3 or 4 times over several years and have found it consistently good. The hosts are caring but not intrusive and the breakfast is a treat. A terrific spot for a get-away.
Beautiful big house, wonderful friendly welcome, very comfortable room (Atlantis room), spacious, homely and a wonderful breakfast. It's in a great location - quiet but just a short walk to the heart of the town, restaurants and the harbour. Parking was not a problem. Don even offered to drive into the town to pick us up from the restaurant if... more
Marion and Don have hospitality down to a fine art. Their beautiful 107 year old home is a true gem and they graciously open it up for your enjoyment and relaxation. Spectacular rooms and even more spectacular hospitality. A warm summer evening spent on the fabulous front porch, sipping wine with our hosts and their friends was a trip highlight. We'll be back for sure.
In August we got ourselves married at Boldt Castle we and held a "Toast to the Bride and the Groom" on the beautiful porch of the Sleepy Hollow. Don and Marion were extremely gracious and looked after everyone with calmness and professionalism (and also some much-welcome humour). Several of us stayed here on Friday and Saturday nights, and the rooms... more
What a wonderful experience. This was my first visit, and everything was top notch. Food and service were amazing. Going to recommend this place to friends for sure.
We stayed one night-I wish it had been a week. Marion and Don love their home and are so very accomodating to share it with strangers. They are very hard workers-share in the all around duties. Don recommended three wonderful restaurants-one of which we would probably not have tried tried on our own. The food was wonderful and made to... more
My wife and I stayed here in August. Room was excellent, breakfasts were superb and Don provided valuable advice on local dining.
My wife and I just finished our stay there last Sunday. We were there for 4 days. Let me tell you it was incredible! The food was amazing with 6 choices for breakfast everyday. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Plus because of the location, you can walk anywhere in town! I would highly recommend this B and B... more
The B&B is located walking distance from the Marina and Town Center. Sleepy Hollow is beyond the boring branded hotel and motel chains. You enter a world of really nice people doing what they do best, meeting and greeting guests. Making you part of their world, giving you sound advice about the local area. My wife and I arranged to stay here 2 nights. When checking in, we were provided with an access code for the side door which worked without incident the 1st night. In the morning, we had a fairly good breakfast and departed for day of activities. Upon returning 930pm on the 2nd night, we were unable to get back into... more
Our host and hostess were very cooperative with our group "wine & cheese" on the porch even though some of the group were staying elsewhere. The house and rooms maintain the local historic flavour but enjoy modern amenities. Clean and comfy. Breakfast was delicious too.
P.S. if your bathroom habits require total privacy, be sure to ask for a room...

We are a young couple and we spent 1 night in this B&B during our honey moon. First of all its location is just the ideal base for a tour of the 1000 Islands; Gananoque is a nice little town on the river.
The B&B is exquisite; we stayed in the Avonlea Room and everything was spotless clean. The whole...

In this charming old house with a nice wooden interior, we felt good! To carry the luggage to the third floor it is a bit tiring, but the Provence room was cozy! The bathroom is separate, but very clean and has a good shower! The breakfast is wonderfull and we loved talking to the other guests aswell as to the... more
On the train on my way home thinking about my stay at Sleepy Hollow-- what am I thinking about? Friendly conversation each morning with local and international travellers, a hilarious game of billiards with two members of a bicycling contingent, sitting back in a big wicker chair on the front porch at sunset (with a pot of tea on the... more
It is a beautiful house but we were on the third floor and it was SOO HOT. The bed was also awful in the Provence Room. We also didn't like waiting and being sat at a separate table alongside the main table at breakfast. Overall I didn't enjoy it which was surprising given the ratings and awards. We stayed last... more
This is the most amazing house. 130 years old and beautifully decorated to reflect the grandeur of bygone days. Don and Marion are accomplished hosts and we felt free to come and go as we wished. We had a room on the 3rd floor which was comfortable in size and amenities with a dedicated bathroom both were extremely clean. The... more
We had a lovely stay at the B&B. Room was perfect. All facilities in place. B&B owners made us feel completely at home. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Gananoque.
My boyfriend and I were passing through Gananoque and thought we would check out Sleepy Hollow Bed & Breakfast. During our travelling from Toronto to Montreal we found the website of the Sleepy Hollow and we booked it for 1 night. The owner of the B&B is very helpful and very kind. It was no problem for him to carry the luggage of my girlfriend into the 1st floor.

Nice building, but rates are quite high. Be wary of the bathroom situation. We paid extra to book a room with our own bathroom. However, on arrival, we discovered that the bathroom and bedroom were all in one single room. Only a curtain separated the toilet from the bedroom. Not a comfortable situation if you want any privacy.
This was our first time staying in a B&B, so we weren't sure what to expect. Our room was beautiful and very clean.
We found it a little on the pricey side, but we may just be cheap! ;)
The bed was comfortable, but we could have used a couple more pillows - I am sure if we asked we...

In walking distance of Gananoque center and harbor, beautifully renovated Victorian style B&B. This was one of the best we experienced in Canada.

The breakfast is well presented and taste really good. It is served...

My husband and I stayed at Sleepy Hollow last fall and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The entire experience was first class. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. The beautifully appointed historic home was warm, comfortable and inviting. We stayed in the “Atlantis” room which offered plenty of space and a stunning bathroom. Not... more
Greeted by owner who definitely could have been more welcoming. After that shaky start, the room (Travancore) was just fine although having bath+toilet actually in the room was somewhat unusual. Breakfast was the highlight and was very good. The place was slightly gloomy and the exterior needs a coat of paint to brighten up an amazing facade.
Despite these minor...

Don and Marion are the perfect hosts! Breakfast is scrumptious, the rooms are beautiful and Ganonoque is wonderful.
