Wonderful food; wonderful staff

Stopped here for lunch on recent visit to the City and thoroughly enjoyed it. Shared a wonderful curry and naan, and both were great. The staff was helpful, too, not only in food selection but in finding the ferry to North V. And reasonably priced. On the edge of Gastown but worth the walk.

Great value,service and food

We ate here after a 10 mile walk around Vancouver and Stanley Park.
Menu is limited but good - food was really great.
We only had poppadums for starters - but dips were fab.
Main course were Lamb Jalfrezi and Chicken Korma - both were lovely and reasonable portions.
Service was very good and waiters attentive.
Would recommend this restaurant.

Given Sitar's location near the tourist bus stands in Gastown I was pleasantly surprised. The service was rapid. The onion bhargi starter was crispy and flavorful. Great Food, Good Value, Excellent Location & Service

We enjoyed the Punjabi Dinner for 2 for $43 after tax! Deeealish! The location is great for watching the hassle & excitement of locals. Ask to sit next to the window.

Some of the best Indian food I've had

The butter chicken was divine. My wife is now upset that her new favorite is so far away. We also had the Channa Marsala, which was very good. The vegetable samosas were incredible. This meal has raised the bar for us in terms of what good Indian food means.

Gastown's Only Indian Restaurant

Not the best Indian food but they are open long hours and deliver. The Butter chicken is one of the best dishes. Small wine list and mediocre draught beers. Not the friendliest service.

Great Indian food

The lamb vindaloo was just about the best that I've had and the owner was very nice as was the staff. Their house red was very nice. The check was a bit slow in coming though.

I have always enjoyed the food at the Sitar, especially the veggie curry! MMmmm. But I have to say, once I started to read the health violations on line, I couldn't go back.

Delightful and tasty food in comfortable space

We had truly. Tasty dinners literally sizzling off their respective platters - no heat lamps here! We had lamb and shrimp dinners with garlic nann - each was excellent. The spices in the sauces were wonderful
