Very nice restaurant. The food was excellent (we got roast lamb, pizza and lasagna). The price is really affordable for the quality of the food and the service is efficient. Definitely go there!
They have the same woman cooking since the mid 80s and everything is just great; they have the best moussaka and spanakopita ever! We were a group of 5 and we had moussaka, spanakopita, hummus dip, pizza and souvlaki and evertyhing was amazing, except maybe for the greek salad which was a bit dissapointing. The service was warming and excellent,... more
I've been a lover of the Cannibal's Feast pizza since the mid-1980's. It never disappoints. The cannelloni is definitely worth a try too.
This restaurant has the same food it served back in the 80s, which is a good thing is at was delicious then and continues to be today. The rooms have been given a face lift since then and feel warm, cozy and inviting. The service is great. But the spanakopita is the reason to go - the fluffiest filo and... more
Went here with a group of friends for a birthday. Very good service and everyone enjoyed their meals. They gave us an area in the back which served our purpose. They had ciders on the menu, which I like.
The food here is sublime. The portions are large and the service is wonderful. This s my favourite restaurant in my home town and the best Greek food I have ever eaten outside ofbGreece and beats some places I know in Greece
If you are craving some Greek food in a cozy taverna , this is
the place to stop buy. Small and intimate without feeling
overwhelmed by blue and white checkered table cloths. All
traditional Greek foods are available. Windows open in
summer for that additional fresh Vancouver air1
I enjoyed my 26th anniversary with my wife at this establishment that has been there longer than our marriage. We went for nostalgic reasons I suppose. The decor has been redone over the years but still retains enough of the original feel to rekindle fond memories. My baked shoulder of lamb fell off the bone. I know I will be... more
This was my first visit to this restaurant and I was looking forward to a particularly flavourful Greek meal. This was not meant to be unfortunately. The service was standoffish and unfriendly. They got the job done.
I ordered the Kalamari dinner which was served with tzatziki sauceand Greek salad. The tzatziki sauce was thick and fresh, but lacked flavour....

I don't understand how anyone could give this place anything but the highest rating. I have been going there since '99 or 2000 and have always been blown away. Not only by the incredible food, but by the excellent service. It is one of the best restaurants in Vancouver, and to be honest, one of my favorite in the world.... more
Good prices for authentic Greek. Unpretentious selection of the basics like steak, Greek salad, lemon potatoes with a dab of tzatsiki sauce accompany the dishes. The space is comfortable and the young man who owns the place is very talkative and hospitable. For takeout and a nice lunch it is good. Fast and filling, like mom cooks!
I was looking for an old style pizza restaurant where you could get a healthy amount of cheese and toppings with a non thin crust that wasn't greasy. I hadn't been to Simpatico in some time and when we arrived we noticed that they'd made some renovations to provide some modern updates while retaining some of the previous character.

Simpatico has been in business for years. With the renovation, there is a much more open and bright feeling. As well, thdere is now some comfortable bench seating in one section.
I was greeted by a very friendly waitress who was efficient and helpful through the meal. I ordered the Greek salad which was good. The feta was not overly...

Have been to Simpatico a few times - a solid choice for good Greek food in Kitsilano. The restaurant itself has undergone a bit of a facelift recently and is quite light and inviting.
On this occasion, I departed from my usual choice of Souvlaki and opted instead to try the Roast Lamb. The portions are always very generous, with...

We arrived early and our companions arrived late, so we spent a few minutes at our table chatting with Marino, the restaurant manager/owner, who was very friendly and made useful suggestions on what to try, as well as which wine he recommended. He also shared the history of Simpatico, which apparently is one of the oldest in the Kitsilano area... more
The location is great because it's right by stores and shops so it's not complicated to find and parking is right in front. The atmosphere is excellent, feels like being in Greece, it's big, seperated rooms, lighting is so nice and elegant and gives a good vibe. There is a bar you could sit at and have a drink and... more
friendly service, great food reasonably priced - just as good as we remembered!
Announces “Greco-Roman cuisine” and is popular among the locals, including families with young children. Standard but copious, tasty Greek and Italian dishes: nothing exceptional, but prices decent. Will even try to accommodate people with an intolerance to garlic (although this is obviously a challenge with Mediterranean cuisine). Most main courses seem to come with the same garnishes (roasted... more
I was really looking forward to going here for dinner since it looked like a really nice restaurant and I love Greek food. I had pizza and a cesar salad - the pizza was average and the cesar salad wasn't tossed sufficiently and over-dressed (and I really like dressing). Overall I had a pleasant dining experience since it has a... more
I was so excited to eat here until it was an hour wait to get our appies than our meals all came out at different time about 10 minutes and people were done eating before other people in our group got their food. We kept asking how much longer once it hit 45 mins and the response kept being a... more
Consistent, authentic, large portions and very reasonable prices...need I say more? Must try the roast lamb !!
THE best Humous in the city (except for Urban Fair). Great and original chicken souvlaki and super pizzas. VALUE VALUE
Family owned and operated Greek restaurant in Kitsilano. Good value - their generous portions mean you'll have lunch for the next day.
The best Humous in the city (other than Urban Fare) and the best Chicken souvlaki. Great prices and fun atmosphere right on 4th Ave. in Kitsilano.
My favorite Greek restaurant for over 20 years - fantastic Calamari and the best Roast Lamb ever. Great pizzas, too.
awesome pizza, great tarama salata
This one I would recomend to everyone, the food is amazing, plus you get to see a hot waiter named Marino. : )
good greek food ... good portion and inexpensive
yummy yummy... getting what you are paying for
The ambiance, price range, and dress code make it a great date spot, especially for the 20-somethings that don't want $30 entrees.
I have had some of my best dining experiences in the last 13 years there. The roast lamb is so tender that you can easily pull it off with a fork. The aroma of the food is always so flavorful with portion sizes large enough for most appetites. One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Vancouver as shown by the numbers of people there on the weekends.
The service was less than desirable. The food was cold when served and management was not helpful. It was the hallmark of what a good restaurant shouldn't be.
The Best Greek food in town. Plus Great Value and in a great location!

One whiff of the aroma from this kitchen is enough to transport diners from the West Coast\'s rainy winter streets to the Greek Isles\' sunny shorelines. This large Kitsilano restaurant has two dining floors, greenery and pictures of Greeks in traditional costumes. The blue-on-blue chequered tablecloths add a touch more of the Mediterranean. Start with the hummus and pita appetizer, then move... more
