I love the pastas at Shiso Tree so much that I often try to recreate it at home but it never comes close! The okonomiyaki fries are great too. Seriously underhyped as I didn't even know this place existed for the longest time. I didn't even know that Japanese-inspired Italian food existed! Highly recommend.
Absolutely loved the pastas!! The sauce was rich and noodles were al dente!!we also had the fries Bolognese.. So flavorful!! We also chose the set meal which included the soup and dessert.. I went to this restaurant twice: once with 5 co-workers and once with my boyfriend. Best dishes among 7 different orders: Wafu pasta (this is the original J style Italian pasta) and Sukiyaki pasta. The other pasta dishes are good, but these 2 impress.
Despite being located at the J-Town mall, this restaurant is not run by Japanese personnel. This was not a deal breaker for me but it's usually not a good sign. Ok here's the deal.
