My kids go here to swim a lot during the winter. Their teen club also rents rooms here for different functions. This is a great recreational center.
excellent equipment, well maintained and up to date. Staff is very helpful and always on hand. It is unfortunate they pipe in music which does not suit every taste. Change rooms are spacious, pools are fantastic - whole family is catered for.
The waterslide was fun and the kids loved the small lazy river. The pool is very big, so lots of room even when the pool is busy. The kids water area is nice, but small and very crowded when the pool is full.
the big kids loved being able to jump off the platform diving boards. So many pools do...

For a newer "state of the art" facility it's already getting run down and shabby looking; especially areas of the women's locker room. Mold and rust are visible and the shower heads are the worst! Thin little streams of water shooting in every direction making it almost impossible to rinse the shampoo out of your hair. Also, I've swam at... more
Although this facility has a lot going for it, in spite of the fact that it's looking a bit shabby less than 5 years after being built (rusty fittings and black mould, anyone), it's frustrating to use, as least for lap swimmers
The people in charge of scheduling treat the very customers who want to use it most, the worst....

Pay your admission and go swimming, watersliding, diving, hottubbing, or make use of the track upstairs. We needed an evening activity to keep 31 students busy - this was perfect and the lifeguards were absolutely excellent.
This building offers many amenities all under one roof. There is a gym, meeting rooms, family pool, and competitive pool. There is also good spectator seating for viewing competitions. A nice place to have a sporting venue.
When The City of Saskatoon said they were building a new indoor "water park" I was expecting something actually fun and interesting that might bring tourists in from surrounding cities, but no! The shaw center in good for small children but anyone over 10 would find it very boring. the water slide is like 30 feet long, and the pool... more
This is a very nicely designed aquatic facility. Nice large training pool with a separate pool for other aquatics, a small kiddie pool and a hot tub. Upper area has a track and gym. There seemed to be a lot of other space which I assume was used for meetings, etc. The centre is attached to a catholic school, a... more
I use the Shaw Centre whenever I come to Saskatoon. It's close by and has the equipment I am familiar with. I am able to use the facility in the off-hours (10 am) so I'm usually able to get on a bike or treadmill. There are not many treadmills, bikes or elipticals, so you would be lucky to get on... more
I went there with a disabled friend.Good facilities, lots of room to change in the family room and wheelchair friendly showers. They have a lift to enable disabled people to be lifted into the water. The manager and staff were all very helpful. The water was very cool, would of liked it a little warmer. The hot tub was lovely and warm and it has a... more
Great pool facility but had terrible air quality once there were a lot of people there. It would be fine if the swim meet didn't have over 200 swimmers.
Temperature of the pool area is very cool and we find we're always chilled with our kids after about half an hour of swimming. Seems to deter us when we are deciding which Leisure Pool to go to - we usually choose the Lawson Pool. Also, the new Shaw Center Pool area is very uncreative in it's decor, paint colors,... more
Great pool, nice set up. Deck very very slick, surprisingly so. My biggest frustration. WHERE TO PARK. About 80 spots over half reserved for staff. So .....tough to be an inviting, public facility.
We often take advantage of the family swim session on Sundays with our two grandchildren, ages 7 and 10. The facility has two distinctly separate pool areas. One side is for older kids and lane swimming including diving boards at different heights. We stay on the side designed for younger children and families. There are two hot tubs, one especially... more
Both hot tubs were closed, cold water and they don't regularly clean the decks so they are very dangerous and slippery! Horrible coffee and a moldy bagel. Sad experience, will not return
love the kids pool, love that the waterslide has a shallow landing, but both hot tubs were under maintenance and the water was freezing! my sons lips were blue within 10 minutes. the change room was frigid and it was impossible to enjoy the visit at all. we drove an hour to get there to swim for 15 and shiver... more
This is a great place. There was 2 adults and 5 kids and it was 20.00 to get in.
This place has 4 pools. 1 diving pool, one lane swimming pool, 1 pool where i assume they would do swimming lessons and 1 tots pool. It was very clean and the kids all enjoyed it there (16, 14, 12, 9,...

The overall facility is very good and we appreciated that dive boards were open for our teenage sons. I am glad they were not toddlers as the wading area with waterside is very small.
Presentation is everything. Great customer service, customer care will always bring people back - regardless of delays or other issues.
the waterslide is great, the competitive pool space is awesome. If you are coming as a spectator-dress lightly! It is very humid and warm in the spectator area
love the heated pool in the morning, especially when my joints are sore. there is always something anyone can do there.
This facility offers all the aquatics you could hope for. Two hot tubs one for adults only, olympic swimming and diving facility, tot area, water slide, clean washrooms and lounge area. Our family likes to meet with friends and spend the afternoon.
The Shaw centre is an excellent family centered pool and fitness facility. I take my boys there whenever we travel to visit Saskatoon. For under $20, we have an entire afternoon of fun. This facility has a kiddie pool, a slow moving river attached to a medium depth pool, and a full sized pool that is about 5 feet deep,... more
The gym was wonderful, personal TVs on each cardio equipment, just bring headphones. The pool is wonderful, although a bit cool. (My 2 year old was shivering), so we found ourselves in the family hot tub most of the time. The waterslide is great for kids though, you land in shallow water, not in a deep pool where you can... more
This is a fast food service counter in Shaw community center. A complex that is in between a public and a separate high school and attached to both with a public swimming and fitness facility that is city run and owned. The snack bar management made the highest bid for this and a couple of other city owned facility snack... more
World class pool with two highschools attached on either side. Great for students and national and international swim and diving competitions
