Just came back from using one of their 17' boats and had a blast. The area is gorgeous, the boats worked well, staff was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They go over the instructions and safety rules well, which helped us be more comfortable in the water.
The only reason for giving them 4 stars was an issue with...

I brought the Deep Fjord tour on the B.C.day. The sky was sunny and the water was calm, so it was a perfect condition for the boat tour. This D F tour goes further north, all the way to Britania beach, than the regular tour. The only thing I could think off is this tour get to see more of... more
We took a weekend afternoon Sea Safari tour from Sewell's, donned our sea suits and had a great time. The tour was a great blend of adventure and education — plenty of thrills, but also an appreciation of the area around us. We got to see harbor seals at island sanctuaries, tremendous visuals of mountains and forests and some pretty... more
The sailors at the command are the least respectful of the area. They ignore basic rules of navigation. In one outing the boat manage to almost ran over two kayaks, cut another boat against the small island with a lighthouse, and almost capsize a small boat at anchor that was peacefully fishing. they motored at full blast by the islands... more
I rented a 17' boat from Sewell's. Everything was great, boat was there as reserved. They went over the safety stuff, and general boating instructions, I felt very comfortable. We cruised around for a little over an hour, was a lot of fun. It got a bit choppy at times, but it was easy to see and compensate speed accordingly.... more
It is nice that I am just a short drive from such beautiful scenery. The weather wasn't great for our tour but I think it gave it an authentic BC feeling.
Fun and impressive at the same time!
Trip taken on Sunday, April 5,2014
First off, I had the whole boat to myself on this particular lazy and peaceful Sunday afternoon! It was early season for them. The temperature was a crisp 48 degrees Fahrenheit, partly sunny day. A wonderful day to feel the the exhilarating sea breeze across your face! (Note: Do dress warm. Winter hat, gloves...

A friend from out of town and I were very pleased with our 80km ride zooming through the beautiful waters of Howe Sound. Although I live in the area I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the trip.
Great guide, lots of wild life (including a pod of Pacific white-sided dolphins), lovely fall colors, rugged cliffs, multimillion dollar mansions,...

This was one of the best things we did in Vancouver. We had a shuttle bus pick us up at our hotel and take us to the marina. Once at the marina, we were fitted with wet suits and we were off with about 8 other people on our 2 hour expedition on a motorized raft boat. We saw bald... more
Good do it yourself option for seeing wildlife and the sounds. Very good service, fun family time.
We decided to rent a boat, see the sound and the seals. Good times
I booked a speedboat from Sewell's for my boyfriend's birthday and had originally planned to go on the Saturday, but by the time we had got there, it was really overcast - we asked if we could come back on the Sunday when the forecast was much better, and they assured us this was no problem at all. So instead... more
This is located just beside BC Ferry Horseshoe Bay terminal.
Marina was clean and boat was good condition.
The village was very nice to stroll around.
My boyfriend and I got off the ferry from Nanaimo and decided that would rent a boat before making our way to Vancouver. We went to Sewell’s Marina in hopes of getting a boat. Sure enough they had plenty available to choose from. We weren’t long before venturing off and seeing some amazing sights on our 2 hour ride. Sewell’s... more
We were disappointed that we could not go out in front of West Van. The trip around Bowen and other islands takes much longer than you think. The prevailing winds make any trip up Howe Sound a challenge. We did it anyway and the return trip took a long time.
Even though I booked a tour on their website, I learned the day before the tour that my tour had been cancelled due to not enough participants. Had to scramble to find something else to do in Vancouver. Disappointed!
Fun boat trip and informatative boat trip. These boats are fast which the kids loved but the guide also took time to teach us about the area. Got very close to the seals sleeping on the islands and had a great view of some of the more impressive houses in West Vancouver.
It was well worth getting suited up in those orange waterproof duds although our weather couldn't have been finer. Our guide was an affable fun guy, skirted islands covered with seals, described the affluence of the incredible homes hanging on the cliffs and hillsides, sped the boat around in concentric circles, much to the delight of the kids on board,... more
i was raised in the bay, so i know this business pretty well. they are basically the only game in town...and frankly i think they took over the bay and the beach. but they provide a service and do it pretty well...so, i guess they are doing a good job.
so much fun and be careful.

We hesitated to begin with but it turned out to be the best value experience we had on our holiday .Friendly staff.- so helpful getting us into our waterproof suits. So knowledgeable we learnt such a lot. The weather was kind to us .2 hours and perfect sunshine.
We've travelled on Sewells zodiac "sea safari" tours a number of times - the most recent one yesterday. The trip is a blast, the scenery and wildlife as well as the zodiac donuts in the water. The staff are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We've taken friends from out of town and the response has always been the same - a... more
Fantastic experience! Rent a small speedboat by the hour/half-day etc to explore around the inlet marvelling at the scenery, homes and wildlife (seals, birds). Excellent value for money and great fun!
With moderately priced boat rentls, you can quickly and easily get out to see the coastline mountains and wildlife.
We rented for one hour and had no problem getting to a spot called Pam Rocks which is a bird sanctuary and where dozens of seals were sunning themselves.
Boats were in good shape it seemed.
You can rent a boat and travel along the waters facing beautiful homes right on the water, with the backing of mountains and trees.
Rent a boat to explore the islands or even fish...great afternoon capper after lunch in gorgeous Horeshoe Bay!
Nicely kept. See it often boarding ferries @ Horseshoe Bay to the Sunshine Coast.
Definitely take the high speed raft tour, it is so much fun, intense and gorgeous scenery. Even better when the water is a bit choppy as the ride is more adventurous
been out with these guys in guided tours in zodiac boats twice now! had a great time! really knowledgable guides. really fun! also rented a boat thru them once day and trucked around the inlet, jumped in for a couple swims and looked around. highly recommend!
We had booked a trip to Vancouver by way of VIA RAIL in July 2009 and that is pretty much all my kids and hubby knew about what was in store for this adventure we were going on… I was trying to make it as big of a surprize as I could.
After arriving in Vancouver on the train (best...
