This is a restaurant with a lot of thematic convergence going on. The dining room faces into a real vintage rail dining car, and the decor reflects a nostalgia for the golden age of rail. However, about half the menu (the better half?) is Greek, with excellent souvlaki and grilled ribs. Otherwise, a good selection of steaks and seafood is available if the Greek and rail themes don't charm. This... more
Great food, great service and great atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant to everyone! Perfect for a romantic evening, make your reservation in the section that looks like an old railcar! Our server was terrific and made some great wine suggestions.
we went here with collegues and the food seemed fine. THEN A FRIEND WHO SERVED THERE TOLD US AFTER: they recycle their buns - what you didn't use goes back in the bin. THEY HAVE MOLDY buns in the bunch that might get tossed. they have mold on the desserts (pre-plated in the fridge) and SCRAPE THE MOLD OFF and... more
We have gone here several times, the last time this month with my aged parents and my adult college age children. We have never been disappointed. The food is uniformly excellent. If you try one of the specials you get a wonderful greek small appetizer platter with it. The salads that come with the meals are great, I like to... more
Although just a decade or 2 old, the design of the place was done as in the early 18 hundreds: the room decoration, the old rail cars, etc, creating a specific atmosphere, which is the main reason for a visit there. Staff was friendly and the food was good, although not exceptional. Went there with a group of colleagues and... more
We were there for the Sunday Buffet. The waitresses were great but the buffet left a lot be be desired. The deviled eggs were pathetic and after commenting to two staff about it they still remained on the buffet. The only thing that partly saved the day was the service and the beef ribs. It will be a long time... more
We were four on business to Saskatoon and for our last night we wanted something upscale. The other had all been to Station Place before so we headed on over. The decor was very tastefully done in a railway station of old so it has that nostalgic feel that could easily be mistaken for "dated" by the unwashed. My first... more
I had the hand made chicken cordon bleu, wife had chicken swiss. both were delicious. Our server Linda inquired if we were attending the Santana concert, and with our positive reply, she sped things up a bit so we would be on time. The food is always excellent and large portions, and Linda's service is always great.
While visiting the city, we stopped by for lunch and we were most pleased! The portions were huge, food was great and we just really loved the atmosphere! The price was very reasonable! There was a good write up on each table on where the antiques in the restaurant originated from which was interesting! We would take the children with... more
We have four children ranging from 11-2years old. We have lived all over the united states, in places like florida and california. This restaurant is a great place to eat, especially for children. Where else can you get a salad that the lettuce is actually washed, or beef better than you buy for yourself at home. These men who own... more
We have been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. Food is incredible, our favorites are the Shrimp Scampi and Pullman's Platter and the service is great. Love the surroundings and historic furniture.
The Saskatoon Station Place is one of the citys finest upscale restaurants. The servers are friendly and professional, the atmosphere is quiet and cozy, and the food is absolutely extraordinary. For many years my family and I have chosen the Station Place for lots of birthdays and special occasions, and always end up ordering the Pullmans Plattera Station special that is not on the menu. ... more
This exciting restaurant surrounds guests with the ambience of luxury dining aboard an 1800s railway car. Original fixtures, authentic antiques (including an English street clock and Victorian era chandeliers) as well as period artwork create a genuine old time experience. A wine cellar stocked with a wide variety of domestic and imported selections features prominently at the front of the... more
