I stayed in this hotel for one night when temperature outside was around -15 c however staff's warm welcome made me feel I am there in a nice sunny day.

Very central and easy for our needs.

Was able to check into room early to allow us to get to family function. Staff helpful and room clean. Bed fairly comfortable with hideaway bed. Bathroom lighting could have been brighter. Overall satisfied and would return. Rate for ditsy reasonable.

We had a very nice one night stay at the Sandman in Red Deer. The hotel is conveniently located, the room was clean and well-appointed, and the staff were very pleasant. We requested an infant bed and one was quickly made available to us. We will certainly stay here again on our next visit to Red Deer.

Great place to stay

Friendly staff and well accommodated on short notice

Really good

It was nice, was initially disappointed as the carpet had not be cleaned properly, some crumbs on there, but they took care of it. We mentioned about getting a fridge and they were able to get one for us. The staff were excellent, very helpful and accommadating, it was excellent

Helpful staff

Some renovations were being done and the pool was closed for part of the visit. But, the helpfulness of the staff from the front desk to the housekeeping staff made up for the negative aspects.

Disappointed

We were just passing through Red Deer and thankfully had to stay only one night. The room description online led to believe that there would be a separate bedroom to the suite but everything was in one large room... With a toddler who goes to bed early, we always rent a suite with a separate bedroom. It worked for one night but will not stay there again.

Stayed here for three nights for my daughters wedding. Was very impressed with the service!!!! The front desk gals were amazing and took care of us throughout. Overnight stay for conference across the street

Don't think room had been vacuumed prior to or during my stay. Dirty napkin from previous guests left on my table . Bathroom walls not very clean, could have been wiped down. Stay-over for 1 night only. Got assigned main floor suite which is convenience. Room is alright, clean and neat but can't believe there are hotel still using blanket with bedspread!!

We were not satisfied at all. We were not given the room (two Double beds) that we booked. We had no hot water for a day. The rooms were not well taken care of. We are entitled to a reimbursement and the manager has asked that you contact them as he is in agreement.

Good south side hotel.

I wanted to stay near the Sheraton / Capri for a conference. The Sandman was very close and had rooms available. The only negative was the renovation that is currently underway. The Moxie's restaurant is attached. Also a nice bar with very accommodating staff (their service was first rate).

The floor I was on was under renovation and the workers smoked so the hallways smelled of smoke, but the room was clean and comfortable.

Dirty

There was a t@!d in the toilet when I arrived, along with streaks, the counter had numerous water stains. The light switches were covered with what looked like fecal matter. I stay in many Sandman hotels, this one has been the worst.

Not going back

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in Red Deer. Garbage hadn't been cleaned out of the room and the toilet hadn't been cleaned which is unacceptable. The front desk service was okay. Elevators weren't working. Not a good experience. Spent $15 more for a room at the Sheraton a couple weeks ago and it was worth every cent!

We stayed 2 nights. I guess we did n not leave the room the first day early enough - as we got no housekeeping whatsoever. We were short on towels - they could provide more, actually. But, no coffee or towels or bed made for the second night.

Single Room was nice but very small

The Hotel was good, but we were just surprised that a single room in a nice hotel like Sandman was just barely large enough for 1 queen bed. It was however, clean and nicely finished.

I stayed in a non smoking room with a single queen-size bed. It was one of the newly renovated rooms and I was very happy with the cleanliness, the décor and the comfort of the room. The hotel was under renovations and there were kids running up and down the halls. We also could smell smoke from the other floors. The only really good thing was the staff. Booked and stayed in a King Jr Corp Suite. The room was clean. Not overly spacious and rather average. However, oddly, there was no luggage rack in the room. I stayed at the Sandman in December & I would just like to say that it is a great place! You can bring your dog too!
Most hotels that allow pets are not even in the same class as the Sandman!
