Wife and I went her for lunch today. We arrived just before 1pm. It took 25 minutes before our drinks arrived and 40 mins for our food to come. When it did come it was good. I like the Solyanka soup and the pelmeni. The Mushroom Stuffed "Babuska" was also good.
The owner, who was the only server, is not...

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and it will probably be the last.
While this is a casual dining sort of place, I am afraid the casual part is taken way too far. I don't have a problem with 'seat yourself", but tossing a pile of menus onto a table by the door and...

I go here for crepes all the time. I love this place and will continue to go here however sometimes the crepes are not completely heated up. Or an ordered item is forgotten
This has become one of our favourite restaurants in town. The pelmeni is yummy, our son who disliked anything that was perogi-ish loves any of the perogies here. The salami plate is great for kids and my husband and I love the Russian Solyanka soup...the borcht is good....but if we had it we would have to miss out on the Solyanka. Saturday Karaoke adds something awesome!
i was there with my wife for dinner.... food was good, the solyanka soup was very good.... but selection was very limited... only one entree meat dish on the entire menu.... the portion sizes are also fairly small.... but tasty..... 2 bowls of soup and 2 pelemeni was about $25 and i left starving.... sad to say i stopped at subway on the way home and grabbed a sub..... if you are going for... more
I went there with my friends and family the other day. The food was great, and our host was wonderful. At one point, he actually sat down at the from of the restaurant and started singing to us in Russian. I want to go here every weekend.

Went for lunch on Saturday for the first time. Quiet.
This place is clean. The cabbage rolls, perogies, and Russian pelmeni were delicious!
The food was excellent. When looking for good, basic food this is the place to eat. We really appreciate the obvious care taken in the preparation of the various dishes we tried and we will be back to try more.
Absolutely horrible! I ordered the perogies, which were bland and rubbery. After I paid, I found the same perogies in storebought boxes in their "deli" freezer. Absolutely pathetic.
Well I am going to Russia in a few months so I though I would eat here to prepare myself. I stopped in for supper and the Diner is nice and clean and the atmosphere is all around very pleasant. And let me add that overall I liked this place and would go back, but only for a few specific items. What I really enjoyed were the Potato Bacon Crepes and the Cabbage roll.....Very Very Goood!!! The... more
I keep coming back for the meat pancakes! Service is slow most times, but the staff here are great, feels like a small town cafe!
I really enjoy the food and hospitality of this restaurant. I feel at home, the service is fast and the food is fantastic. My favourite dishes are the Russian Pelmini, meat crepes and the cabbage rolls, with a can of coke goes great! The service is wonderful, the owners make you feel welcome! I also enjoy there produce, I tried caviar for the first time, which I really found delicious. I would... more
Went for lunch with a large group of coworkers; everyone enjoyed their food and was impressed. Items ordered ranged from the soups to perogies and meat dishes. Everything tastes home made and I'm sure most of it is, which is great! The service was fast and friendly, we enjoyed her company. The decor is a little funny, it feels like you're eating in an old baba's house.. but I guess that's the... more
Today five of us had lunch at the Russian Style Restaurant & Deli. The place was full of casual Saturday diners. The restaurant is not large. It has a folksy casual ambience that reflects a place of relaxation. It also took me back to my childhood where the foods served here is what I grew up on.
I think most people don't know what kind of food to expect at a russian restaurant, but everything on the menu is home made, russian-style soul food. Most entries feature ingredients such as potato, ground beef, sour cream and/or dill. The soups are very different - the solyanka (three sausage soup) is to die for. Mmmm.
