I hosted a family gathering for 18 adults and 2 children. The food and service was excellent. The Mgr. was helpful in arranging a set menu. Everything was served in an attractive and appetizing way. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and the hospitality provided. Definately would return. Everything was very clean and inviting.

Small portions , nothing homemade
August 15, 2014full rack of ribs very small!!! Clubhouse had only two slices of toast and not much inside,,fries not homemade --had no flavour.. too expensive for what we got! Truck stop iacross from the husky was a much better choice!

Nice Restaurant

Food is always good here
June 30, 2014Have been here 4 times now for dinner. Once every year for the last 4 years. I've never been disappointed. Staff is always busy yet always very friendly. Reservations are recommended as it is a busy place. Great views overlooking the lake. I love this place.

Great Food and Atmosphere
June 20, 2014My husband and I went there to enjoy a meal while staying at the Waterfront Inn. My husband had the prime rib and I had pickerel. Both of our meals were very tasty with fresh steamed veggies on the side. Our server was very attentive. Overall we were very impressed.

Fantastic for such a small place

Best wings I have had in a place that does not specialize in wings. Had the fish & chips and poutine too. I ate there 3 times this month and every meal was fantastic.
The servers in this place are so friendly and accommodating too.
Will definitely eat here again, that is if I ever make it back up to...

Busy place
October 20, 2013This place can get VERY noisy and busy so I recommend that you avoid going when it is regular meal - times. If you can get a seat near the window, you can look out at Lake Temiskaming.

July 14, 2013What! You're kidding! That is the reaction my wife and I get when we tell them Rooster's doesn't serve greek salad anymore. I know several people who went to Rooster's just for the salad because it was really good. But now because they stopped serving it, they no longer go there. Good food, fabulous view
June 24, 2013The menu here is higher-quality roadhouse fare and the service is fast and friendly. What sets this place apart is the fabulous view of Lake Temiskaming, which was lovely even when completely covered with ice!

Average and Boring Menu
April 10, 2013Nothing special or unique about this place. It's a standard Kelsey's/Applebee's fare. Lots of sauces to cover the lack of taste in the low quality ingredients used in the meals. A menu that covers every possible food category. No reason to come back. The one thing that surprised me was the number of people with nowhere else to go.

March 10, 2013We showed up with 15 kids and 10 adults All the food was good On the prices were reasonable. It must have a great view overlooking the lake in the summer. Every much enjoyed the atmosphere. The next time I'm in town I will make sure to stop in for a wonderful meal.

Great views over Lake Temiskaming, good selection & variety of dishes reasonably priced.
We ate here with family with differing tastes & we were all able to find good dishes to order. Decent value, quality & portion sizes.

Very slow service
August 12, 2012The food is not bad but it's so slow, we were there over 2 hours and we left because we didn't want to wait any longer for dessert or coffee. We were there on a Friday night. I've been there before on a weekday and it was fine.

Surprise at the Inn

The restaurant is in the Waterfront Inn and has great views of the lake. Just had lunch but menu is very nice and prices are reasonable. All food was delicious. Try the onion rings for a treat.

attached to the waterfront inn - at which we didn't stay- made finding the front door a tiny bit more difficult than it should be, but it was certainly not too hard to find.
we had the twister chips - house made potato chips that come in a huge 8 inch high platter with a cajun mayo - very good...

Good food and great atmosphere
February 12, 2012We eat here at least a couple of times a month and we love it! We always get a good meal and the service and atmosphere is great. In the summer, it is nice to eat or have drinks out on the patio. It can get very busy certain nights, so make a reservation if you don't want to wait.

October 17, 2011Seems to be one of the more popular restaurants in the area. Still got a seat fairly quickly on a Friday night. Salmon was quite good. A family restaurant, so there were a number of children, but atmosphere was still relaxed.

Reliable "roadhouse" food...with a view
January 01, 2010Great location right down on the water. The food is average roadhouse fair similar to the chain eateries. Servce is exceptional, as it is in most in northern towns, and the people are very friendly. A little pricey, but a great family place. Nice view of the lake too.
