If you love organic, kids, and pizza-in that order-then this mini-chain is for you. The rub is that if you are childless or think this whole save-the-earth thing is overrated, then shelling out $23.50 for a 13-inch Parma ham and mango pizza might not sit well. But grow a heart: the new Main Street location features an open room where you can watch your flatbread be created, plus an... more
The food is amazing, especially the herd and avocado salad (though all of it is very good) and I love the ethical ethos of the restaurant - it really lives up to the values if professes.
It is good for lunch and supper, though lunch is more for family fun as children can make their own pizzas (so can adults...

Our group of 18, included a 8 year old birthday. We made own Pizza party was fun and tasty.
All enjoyed from 6 to 66 years old.
We loved this place! They have a fantastic play room for kids which is really handy when you have a 2 year old in your party who does not want to sit still. The food is great. The menu has a lot of unique pizzas as well as a gluten free option. The wine and beer selection is great and... more
With a rumble in our tummies, we returned for another flavour-filled adventure. HAD TO HAVE the bruschetta to tide us over 'til the main event! The agile pizza chef kept us entertained with his cookery at the pizza oven located in the heart of the restaurant. Especially when a youngster brought over his "Monday nt creation". Mine was maple bacon,... more
We had the chef's special salad and a large 1/2 Farmers Market and 1/2 Naturally Meaty. My word it was so good I wanted to do the whole meal again. Love the way the place looks. Nice one!
even got a kiddie corner, which I haven't seen in looong time. This was a great help for our kids ( 4 and 6) to stay put while waiting for their pizza. I usually do not like Sangria, but I seep it from my husband and is the best I ever had. The gluten free option for pizzas is excellent.
This Kits location is set up for casual dining with a room for small children to play. Can be very noisy. Menu is simple, has vegetarian & gluten-free options. Wooden tables & benches.
Whenever i go I always get the fig and goat cheese salad. It's one of the tastiest salads I've ever had! Different flatbread and pasta specials on different days. They've all been quite good.
We had lunch at the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company on Main Street last week. While the Flatbread Company is a more traditional looking restaurant than the cafe and bakery called Trafiq half a block away, the latter was quite a bit busier at lunchtime. Flatbread pizzas are certainly tasty enough but didn’t delight us in the same way as regular... more
We always enjoy our meals here....the salads are excellent, with fresh ingredients and tasty dressings. Try the fig, goat cheese salad...it's amazing! The pizzas are good, but some are definitely better than others. I love the shrimp pesto one...some of the vegetarian ones are a little skimpy on the toppings. The pastas are also very good. If you have room... more
It's nice to go to a place that supports local suppliers and brewers. We arrived here at 1:30 for lunch, thinking the worst of the lunch crowd would have passed. But it was still quite busy and we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Staff were very helpful in letting us know what our wait would be.... more
Staff was terrific. Our family group arrived late and we were still accommodated. Thank you. We ranged in age from 55 - 1year old and each was well fed and entertained. Toys, play stoves and kiddie aprons were appreciated by the kids who needed a break from the car, and the parents who just wanted to sit and chat .... more
We are 100% vegetarian. On searching we came across Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. , which makes food from Organically grown ingredients. Sounded good and believe me it was more than it sounded. We throughly enjoyed eating out here. Good varieties of vegetarian food, service was excellent and atmosphere good.
A place to go and eat if you are in Vancouver.
I like the pleasant neighbourhood ambiance in this Kitsilano restaurant. It was a perfect place to have a quick meal before a performance at the Bard on the Beach. My partner and I enjoyed the Fig and Goat Cheese Salad and the vegetarian Calzone. All was tasty and fresh. I appreciate that they source local organic produce and that they... more
While our pizza (pepperoni with shaved onions, crimini mushrooms, roma tomatoes) was very good, the rest of the meal was average at best. Although the basil blackberry salad we ordered would've been excellent on its own, we added grilled chicken, which was TREMENDOUSLY over-salted, almost to the point that it was inedible. Also, while the pizza was quite tasty, it... more
Stopped in for lunch on our way to Bard on The Beach matinee performance.

Fantastic selection of Gluten Free options.
The pizza is excellent and I cannot remember enjoying one as much as the one I had here. Hot Capicollo by the way.

Had lunch here. There are a few locations but we chose the West 1st one. Parking was surprisingly easy but it was a weekday and slightly early for lunch (1145am). The place itself is large and casual; the menu has a few options. The highlight of my meal was the salad - really really good. Goat cheese and fig salad.... more
I was greeted straight away by a friendly member of staff who informed me that it was sangria drink special (score!) that night. I sat on the patio to enjoy some Main Street people watching and ordered the antipasto plate and basil blackberry salad as starters to share with my friend. We went here as reviews were positive for family dining. As we were bringing small kids that was great. It was a pleasant dining experience. Food quality was average but the prices a bit steep. Wine very expensive at over $11 per glass. Definitely worth trying as pleasant and ordinary urban fare.
My wife and I went to Rocky Mountain Flatbread (Main Street location) and got there at high noon on a Tuesday. We were the second table in there and we thought it would be a nice quiet lunch, however about 15 minutes later the restaurant was full and there was eventually people waiting for a table to open up so... more
Kid friendly environment which can get rather loud. Food is great, and the use of many local organic ingredients at very reasonable prices makes this establishment a healthy option. Located a ten to fifteen minute walk from Kitsalano Beach, with a large patio.
Really enjoy the pizza here, it is a bit pricey, but I chock it up to local ingrediants/toppings. I really like their pizza. If you are looking for a quiet night out, I wouldn't go here. It is a great place for families and he atmosphere is often louder that most restaurants. That said it is a great place for... more
Our favourite date spot for a casual dinner/ pizza. They offer many healthy options for pizzas which are full of great flavour. The crusts are thin and pizza is on the more expensive side ($25 for large) but you are paying for quality and supporting local producers. You can order 1/2 and 1/2 for large pizza's. I would encourage you... more
There were a ton of great reviews for this place. We thought we would try it out! Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. Food: Good thin crust pizza, homemade soups are delicious. The small sized individual pizzas cost between $9.50 and $12.00 and are definitely enough for one person...just don't plan to share this size as it would be too small for two. The chocolate brownie with ice cream is a really yummy dessert...could be shared.
Atmosphere: Very family oriented. Often has lots...

Very kids friendly and great place to go for pizza and other goods. Go when they have specials, its a really good value.
This pizza is all about the FRESH flavor and not the thick crust. The thin crust is delicious. Great salads and soup too. Great place for a family meal. Play area in the back for little people. Great service, great food!
Rocky Mountain is a great place for tasty pizza, and we head there often after catching a movie at a local theatre. This pizza place is especially kid friendly, so watch out... more
Been here several times for the traditional wood fired pizza and friendly staff. Everything is made fresh with local produce, so they can adapt. I usually order my food to go from here because I enjoy the pizzas but as much as I adore children, they are free range here. Parents seem completly at ease while their children run underneath waiters and scream past you and do all the things children do when left to have a free for all.

The food is good, the service is pretty good, and the ingredients are fresh and local. The atmosphere, however, is regrettable. It's one of the "family-friendly" places with a kids prison, I mean play area, in the corner. It's loud and it's obnoxious (I like kids, too). The acoustics make it seem louder than it is, I guess, and the... more
Wanted a different, relatively healthy lunch for a change so tried out this place - Wow, what an unbelievably delicious lunch! I got the Sundried Tomato Flatbread and Chicken Noodle Soup which were both incredible. Pizza with a sustainable story. The atmosphere is equally great and family oriented. It's really nice to see that. But there's so mush more to it. Just drop in and try the food for yourself. You'll soon be hooked and a follower. I dare you to only go once! Go on, I dare ya!
We have had pizza from Rocky Mountain a few times. It is very tasty, but not all that filling as the crust is very thin. They tasted great, just wish they had been a bit more filling!
This is a great reliable place to take friends or family for a casual dinner. The pizza is fantastic, loaded with quality toppings. It almost feels like you are eating something healthy! Service is quick and friendly and the room has a nice atmosphere, casual but comfy/homey. It's a little pricey but well worth it.
Although we live in California, we visit family in Vancouver several times a year. If you have kids, particularly if they are anywhere from 3 to 12, they (and you) will absolutely LOVE this place. I can't tell you how impressed I was, the place is very cool to begin with, the service was amazing, and the food was wonderful. I highly recommend the Fig & Goat Cheese Salad! Went here in May during a too short trip to Vancouver. On the day we went in it was quiet but it was nice for a change. The service was attentive and the food excellent.
Just got back from a delicious lunch at RMFC, that's what I call it. The waitress said they may open two more locations. One on Main St., and another in Kerrisdale! Awesome. We ordered the fig and goat cheese salad and had a small pizza each, which was more than enough. I love how everything is basically organic, but doesn't taste too 'organic'. (You know what I mean..)
Located in Vancouver in the trendy Kitsilano neighborhood, Rocky Mountain Flatbread offers an amazing selection of various toppings that you can order on a GF crust. I'm not against organic food or an avid fan, if it's there great, but at the moment it seems you are paying a lot more to get a lot less. It's all very worthy, and that's nice, but the pizza sum is not as great as the parts. Sure, organic ingredients are nice and wood burning oven is great, but the crust is quite dry and flat. A bit like a dry cracker. I want to like this more, but I don't. It's also really pretty expensive for what you get.
I had heard this restaurant served dishes made with organic, local and OceanWise ingredients. That alone got my interest level high but the important questions still remained:Is the restaurant a good overall experience? Is the food good? Does it have a nice atmosphere? Is the service good? I walked by this restaurant a couple of times and decided to give it a try. The place is VERY kid friendly, leaning towards " if you don't have kids and don't want to hear them scream, don't go" type of place. All the food is organic and mostly local. I go here for lunch sometimes if i'm around the area. the pizza is good, the salad is good, but the wine is pretty expensive...around $10+ for a glass for lunch. You won't find anything mind-blowing here but I still like it. Maybe because everything is local ingredients. I'm always a fan of that.
This is the pizza place that every neighborhood should wish to have. It uses organic ingredients from the local community gardens and it donates a percentage of profits to the school down the block.
