One of my favorite places to get Italian food in the west end.
Both my husband and I would definitely recommend eating here. The food was so delicious. My veggie lasagna was made to order so it was even better than I thought it would be. My husband's veal was an excellent serving size and make just right!
We will so be going back again to enjoy another meal VERY SOON!!
I try to go to Rocco's when I am in Toronto. Love the take out, the chicken parm is tender, juicy and huge. I'm now spoiled, other chicken parm's just don't measure up.
Went in a group of 10. Unfortunately, that many people really stressed out the server who seemed quite rude and unresponsive to questions and even compliments. 2 out of 10 dishes were late (1 wrong and 1 forgotten). The angel hair with Rose and chicken was very disappointing and soupy, and after coming home my wife threw it up. The... more
We went for dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Looking at the outside, weren't sure it was the best. We met a very Italian man with a pizza box in the parking lot and he said the pizza there was the best. We decided to give it a try. Loved the breads in a basket with assorted olives and the balsamic... more
Visited this place for the second time yesterday. It needs a very good cleaning. The chairs apparently need to be recovered or replaced as they are all covered in a dark brown fitted cover. There is some odd wood art on the walls and hanging from the ceiling that all need to be dusted - okay dusted several times as... more
There was 3 of us that went for dinner on a week night, the atmosphere was romantic, old Italian, comfy, homey style. We had salads which were all large, the cabreese was lovely with fresh tomatoe slices & a generous helping of bococcini cheese, ceaser salad was also good size & tasty. We had an order of spaghetti, a stuffed... more
Should not have gone after lunch and before dinner. The mussels were served cold with a warm "processed" sauce. Quantity was okay, taste not so much. The chicken was a nice big piece of meat. Might go back at a busy dinner hour and see if a different chef, well cook is working.
Made a reservation for this location last Tuesday, stating I had a Groupon. After driving over an hour to get there, when we arrived for our reservation on Saturday night, there was a sign on the door saying they are no longer accepting Groupon certificates.
The Hostess said she would check with a manager, and then returned saying that neither...

We've lived 1/2 block away from Rocco's since they opened about 20+ years ago, but have only had meals there about 4-5 times. Tonite we celebrated my wife's birthday as it was her choice to try Rocco's. We split a mussels dish which contained more than 1/3 un-opened shells (which cannot be eaten) The tomato broth was quite lumpy and... more
The food was hot and fresh. The service impeccable, wait staff very helpful, and will substitute and honor any special requests. The salads and appetizers were fabulous. Everyone enjoyed the
entree immensely. Not one negative except no room for dessert. A wonderful place
Christian, our waiter, has always be most attentive without being intrusive and very knowledgeable about the food.
The veal sandwiches are the best in the city and dressed the way you like them and the daily specials from pasta with Lobster and Veal show the seasoned hand of the chef with just the right touch of spice. Every item is...

We booked lunch for 14 people, on separate cheques. Not only were the orders delivered in a timely fashion...Guess what? They were all correct and HOT! Our waiter was Sam and he was always smiling could not do enough. No wonder we love this place!
My boyfriend and I often visit the take-out section of the resturant for lunch (Queensway location). The food is substantial and always exceptional. The service is great, fast & friendly. Great value for your money.
This past Saturday (August 13/13), we went to Rocco's for dinner in the dine-in section (Queensway location). We each ordered a glass of the house...

We like to eat here often as we enjoy the Italian flavour
The food is very good and the service is excellent. Nice to sit outside on the patio when the weather is nice.
The seafood is always very good and there selection of risottos combinations and good wine add to the pleasure of the evening. Enjoy this restaurant with...

We were at the restaurant at 5 pm on a Saturday in July, I'm guessing before the crowds come.
Sat on the patio under the grapes - very nice.
Background music was not load so the conversation could be carried without shouting.
I was impressed by the taste of the seafood. The taste reminded me of my childhood when my...

It's very nice Italian food, comparable to what you might get in Italy. Tasty, well-prepared, fresh. We enjoyed our evening even if service was a bit slow. It's still a nice place to dine and hang out. Our waiter was friendly and responsive.
We were entertaining a friend from BC and Rocco's was the perfect place. The food was terrific and the service was great too. Each time we have eaten at Rocco's we have been pleased with the quaint surroundings and the food-especially when you consider the price.
Spent a lovely evening with family at Rocco's. Loved the charming dining areas, and the service was delightful. The food was yummy. Nothing too adventurous, but quite delicious. If I lived in the area, it would quickly become a regular stop. As to the concerns about the restrooms: in older cities both in Canada and Europe, real estate is at... more
We heard great things about this place but we were extremely disappointed. They did not have our original reservation so we had to make a new one. Washrooms are one person only, small with no change table for babies and steep stairs, low ceiling. Reservations were at 1pm. I had to get up to track down the server at 1:30pm... more
The sign at the door warned that crafting wood fired pizzas is an art and to expect your order to take longer than usual. As there was only one other table of patrons we were surprised the pizza took more the 30 minutes, but we did have some bread, olives and a cold beverage while we waited. The good news... more
Great food, only problem is there's too much selection! Weekend has a live signer, although shes Eastern European she signs Italian songs that make you stop and stare.
We went on a Saturday night, and while service was slower than my friend and I prefer, we found out it was due to a Groupon Coupon offering...that the staff hadn't known about. In spite of that the food came out in reasonable time, and at the right temperature. My buddy is a fan of their risotto (not my thing)... more
From the moment we walked through the front door to when our waiter shook my hand and thanked us for choosing Rocco's, we were made to feel appreciated and welcome. The menu is diverse and inviting, the wine selection, although somewhat restrictive, is adequate and the chef is a magician. Portions are huge, so arrive hungry. The decor is not... more
What could be better! Great lunch menu! Good friends! For lunch I always order one of their sandwiches with a side of pasta or salad! So delicious ....and reasonably priced.
My husband and I consider this our "local" for dinner. Always good food !
Rocco's is consistent and reliable. The food is great, and is always great, and the service is excellent. It's a nice enough place to go on a date, and not so expensive and fancy that it has to be a special occasion. Love the chicken stuffed, sea bass (favourite) and never miss having the risotto as a side. It's a... more
Lovely food, fresh homemade simple food. We go there about once a month and I have never had a bad meal. The service can be unpredictable, sometimes very warm and friendly and other times indifferent but the food is so good that if you do end up with a not so helpful server you don't mind as much as you... more
I always love going to Rocco's. It's my comfort food place and I visit regularly. The service is friendly, attentive and consistent. If you don't see something you crave on the menu, just let them know and the chef will prepare the pasta and sauce of your choice or other favourite. Just speak up! In the warm weather, it's lovely... more
The food is always fresh and they are quick to prepare it. The bread is fresh and they provide oil & balsamic vinegar to dip it in. They have two locations in the southwest area and it is always a great meal.
Very friendly service and great food. Have had veal sandwich as well as roasted eggplant sandwich on another visit. Veal was great, eggplant was good. Pasta as a side dish was nice, as was ceasar salad. Huge portions, even for me. Lunch including sandwich, side, tax, and 15% tip is under $15.00.
We have been here often for dinner but this last time we stopped in for lunch. Fresh bread and olives are always given as a free appetizer. I had grilled vegetable sandwich and a side order of tomato penne salad that was included as one of the choices. Delicious! Good red house wine. The outdoor courtyard is a nice setting... more
I have been to Rocco's a few times, and would recommend this restaurant to everyone. The food is delicious. The chef goes out of his way each time to prepare something tasty which isn't on the menu for us.We just tell the waiter (they're all so friendly) what we want if i's not on the menu, and he tells the... more
I hate to write a negative review but just can't help it this time. Probably the worst italian food I've had in years. We ordered a pizza and some pasta, a $17 pizza was very basic, you can get a much better one at Pizza Pizza or Domino, or even frozen from a grocery store. $15 pasta was undercooked and... more
We went for dinner here on a Saturday and we were glad to have reservations because the place was packed and there was a line-up to get a table! We had the fish and it was excellent. We enjoyed our recent trip to Rocco's Plum Tomato....because of the great food, quite tasty and excellent waitress. A bottle of wine, appetizer, salad and pasta for 2 was $95, we were impressed. Rustic charm best describes this family stlye restaurant.
Quirky decor, delicious food. Rocco's is a regular destination when we're in the mood for Italian.
My girlfriend and I had been to Rocco's Plum Tomato a couple of years ago for her birthday and had a good experience there so we decided to try it again. Upon entering we were politely greeted and seated. I presented their advertisement that was in "The Best of The West" stating that from 4-6 pm one could enjoy 1/2... more
The best sandwiches... come very hungry!! The pasta is great & I saw 2guys with a seafood platter that is not on the menu but they will make it up for you. That is what I am going to have next time! I have been 2 both locations & I find them to be excellent & not expensive ( 4... more

My favorite Italian restaurant. The staffs are very friendly. My favorite dishes are Portobello Mushrooms with Goat Cheese, smoke salmon pasta etc.
I love this restaurant, this location in particular has a lovely, cozy ambiance, and great food too. I was here for New Year's last year and had a lovely time. Plan to go there again this year.
Amazing italian restaurant!!
The restaurant itself is very colourful, they have a variety of dishes to choose from, each meal is very tasty and reasonably priced. The service is fantastic, the people tend to you like your own personal chef they create an atmosphere that makes you come back and better yet tell others about this great restaurant. I have been going here to this location since 2006 and have told many of my... more
I have been there on many occassions and have enjoyed my meal each time. Great food, reasonable prices, excellent service. Also the take out section - veal sandwiches the best in Toronto, great quality and quantity for a cheap price.
Delicious. Love the quaint, casual italian decor. Big portions. We had the angel hair chicken pasta, pasta stuffed with butternut squash, eggplant appetizer, and portobella mushroom appetizer. All very good, except one of the appetizers came with a piece of moldy tomato, and the waitress didn't even apologize. Overall Awesome food but not great service.
I have been eating at Rocco's Plum Tomato Trattoria on the Queensway for over 10 years. The food has always been fresh, delicious and reasonably priced.
