During a business trip, my Wife and I were placed at your hotel for travel conveniences. Upon arrival with my Wife and her service dog, the gentleman operating the hotel front desk asked for a pet fee for the duration of our stay. The pet fee we were told was $200. Calmly, we provided proof of service certification and explained what an assistance dog is, just in case this was his first... more
A really nice affordable hotel in the heart of Robson street. It's a small 10 storey bldg with available underground parking which is great on some of those rainy days. The staff, Sam and Hana were absolutely wonderful. Including others I didn't get their names. The maid was so polite and nice. Wonderful stay. The room was spacious and also had a neat electric fireplace for added ambience and heat.
The location is absolutely fantastic on Robson Street - there is a fair amount of street noise but the bedroom air conditioners drown out the sound. Nice view of Vancouver from our window. This is a very spacious property and a perfect spot to call home when visiting Vancouver. Don't expect anything fancy but the rooms are clean, the beds... more
What they lack in cosmetics they make up in service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Helpful tip if u call them directly instead of using an online service U get 10% off and parking is half the price. My one complaint would be there's a lot of morning traffic and it can get a little noisy.
Really well located, really friendly service, the rooms are large with decent kitchens. This is our second time staying here in the last 30 days, as we had such an excellent stay the first time. Everything you could need is within walking distance.
We stayed in the one bedroom apartment for two nights before moving to the penthouse for a small upgrade fee. The hotel location is great and we had no complaints. Close location to our Vancouver office and the price for a kitchen unit was great. Not the fanciest hotel but well maintained and pleasant staff. Their extreme internet worked well for my needs including video conferencing and streaming.
We had stayed once before I went to this hotel to stay again.
The staff at the front was kind to us!
This hotel is really great value and reasonable price for each room!
If I should stay in vancouver again, definitely I'm gonna choose this hotel!
My partner and I came to Canada for a working holiday, so whilst staying here we had to search for permanent accommodation and a job. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Riviera. Although an older building, with older building issues, the atmosphere and charm make up for anything like the lack of an extra outlet pale. Great room for family of 5 for one night. Very centrally located. With this comes noise from the street late at night from people leaving night clubs. We were unlucky to have other guests on our floor returning home at 2 in the morning being very loud for hours.
I live out of town but was attending a concert during the weeknight so decided to book a cheap place to stay for the night (student budget). Location was perfect for our 2 night stay. Our room on 10th floor was quiet with good views of Vancouver. Hotel is in need of updating but for the price you can't complain. Front desk staff were very helpful.
Hotel is in a great location in the west end near a Whole Foods, internet cafe, and many good and reasonably-priced restaurants. If you need an inexpensive overnight place in Vancouver this is an option. Lots of space (600 sf) and a small kitchen. Small bedroom with double bed. Can be noisy on the south side facing Robson Street. Also, you can not control the central heat. Check-in was friendly however there are no amenities on site.
I was very impressed with the service provided. The location was handy to walk to grocery stores and a quick drive to English Bay Beach and Stanley Park. This was a wonderful choice for our family for many reasons. The location is very central and within walking distance to many Vancouver attractions. Good value. Last.minute booking easy on the phone. Friendly. Cheap as a hostel. Clean and comfortable. Great location. I would go there again.if you just need a basic room downtown why pay more. The receptionist was helpful both at night and in the morning
This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. It's actually a suite, with a full kitchen and great view of the north shore. The price couldn't be beat as the neighbourhood has tons of great restaurants and is only a short walk to Stanley Park. As long as you're okay with character vs. modern, this place can't be beat!
we stayed here for four nights and had a very pleasant experience. The location is great, on Robson just west of the trnedy shopping district and downtown. for the most part it was very quiet, other then the noise of downtown.

Perfect! I loved the suite with views, space and light. Great location, thanks Veronika, Hana and staff! Great to be so close to everything and Stanley Park as well. I will definitely be coming back and make better use of the kitchen, for sure! Thanks again!
My room was nice and big, with full kitchen and bath. Price was right. Location is perfect if you are interested in shopping or seeing Vancouver. Minutes away from Stanley park and the Vancouver Aquarium.

Aside from being able to hear every sound outside the window and a bathroom that could use a renovation, it was a nice place to stay. The staff seemed friendly, I didn't really have a moment to stop and chat with them. Overall, I would come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Riviera. It is located close to many restaurants, easy access to transport, and walking distance to Stanley Park. Vertical blinds that kept moving and did not keep the light out. A bed that needed a new mattress and extremely small room

Location couldn't be better. Hotel staff the same staff that were their a year ago during my first stay so they must be treated well and are very professional and well dressed and helpful.

All I can say is thank God we got a 'last minute deal' on this room, because if we had paid the $380 they say the regular room rate is (family suite) I would be giving negative stars.

The location is great. I got my room (1 bed) for about $110 before tax, so it's a very decent price considering the location.
I have to say the room feels old. The kitchen is old, couch is old, any wood furniture (desk, coffee table, cabinets) feels old. The heat/AC looks dusty so I didn't bother turning it on. And then room, not to be racist, smells like Indians/curry objectively speaking.

The location was amazing. The room (King penthouse) is great with a full kitchen and a really nice patio/terrace with sweet views of mountains, ocean and the city.

Not well maintained - bathroom door required that one 'lift it" into position to close, no A/C in living room where second person slept, no ice, no exercise facilities, very lumpy sofa mattress.
The price was great for the location, which is very central to shopping and English Bay. The room was nicely appointed with some modern fixtures and what appeared to be recent renovations.
