Don't waste your time, money or appetite here
16 mai 2014Went with a big group recently and found the food to be mediocre. Way too much oil on everything. Expensive for nothing. I could've gone to Village Grec down the road and had better food for less money. Service was bad too: they got the orders wrong and charged us for food that didn't even come out. I had been a long-time regular customer of Tripolis on St-Roch in Park Extension (Montréal) when it was run by Steve and his father John; then they opened Tripolis in Laval and I followed them there up until they sold both.

My family and I have been going to Tripolis for years now and never have we been disappointed. The service is always on point (Mary-Ellen and Richard are a great team) and the food is just like you would have in Greece: fresh, home-y and delicious. The fare is fair (see what i did there?).

Wonderful Greek Fare in Laval
18 octobre 2013Dropped in at the last minute on a visit to Montreal to savour this restaurants's signature grilled octopus appetizer dish and were not disappointed. Portions are very generous and enough for sharing but if not, leftovers can be bagged and enjoyed at home. The lambchops were great and the moussaka, today's specialty plate, was superb. Love this place
24 mai 2013We have been coming here for years and we just love it. We've tried so many dishes and they have not disappointed. We introduced this place to friends and family and they love it. Manny the owner is great and so is Richard. They are both so friend and treat us like family whenever we go.

Unpretentious Homestyle Greek Fare

My last visit we celebrated my dad's birthday. We took him to the Laval location on Sunday. We were in the mood for fried calmars, zucchini, eggplant, lamb chops, cod, and grilled steak.
Portions were very generous. Prices were fair. Lots of take home boxes because we ordered too much.
Service how ever was slow to start, as the waitress...

08 janvier 2013If you like canned beets, canned dolmades, canned red beans then this is your place. got served with deep fried cod. basically fish and chips. expected oven baked for the price. refused the fish and owner expected me to pay for the untouched fish. told me never to come back. 3$ cod and treats the customer like a dog .... plus

Always consistant
09 octobre 2012We often eat at Tripolis simply because the food is so good and the service is excellent. This is where the Greeks dine and that says something about the authentic meals and the quality of the food. It is not cheap but the quality of the food more than makes up for the slightly elevated price. The pork and lamb... plus

Fantastic dinner

Fantastic food. We have been there a couple times and each visit was fantastic. Owner Manny seems to always be there, either cooking or serving customers, he really seems to care about his business and it shows. Very friendly, great food, fantastic service.
Try the lamb if you get a chance...excellent dish. Great prices for the quality of food you...

Terrible fish
11 août 2012Went to Tripolis restaurant in Laval with friends. Fish was horrible. Owner didn't care. Never going back! Waitress was fantastic, but was in tears over how owner dealt with situation.
