Chef Oliver Tali is what is known in the culinary world as a maître canardier, or master chef in the preparation of duck. Normally, that would mean that there's really only one choice: the house specialty, duckling à la rouennaise. But, surprise: The bouillabaisse is also a standout, as is the gracious service. This is a modest-looking roadside restaurant in Centre-Ville Mont-Tremblant with... plus
From the warm service to the excellent fois gras, this restaurant will not disappoint. Only a short distance from Tremblant mountain. Worth the ride!

The vibe here is very special. It's like sitting at your friends home enjoying a festive dinner. Every dish was unique and delicious. The servers are vey friendly and helpful when choosing a dish. The chef walked around welcoming the guests and taking photos, we loved that.
This time we tried the Canard and we had the pleasure of trying their unique press. The sauce was excellent. We enjoyed the "sommelier" comments about our wine.
Charming French restaurant in the heart of St
Jovite. Food is excellent, service impeccable. Staff delightful and caring...Passionate about food! Chef Olivier is creative and precise with his dishes using local ingredients and herbs. He kindly made delicious adjustments due to an allergy as well. Wine list is excellent. Recommended to those who enjoy a fine dining experience!
My wife and I ate at Le Cheval de Jade on our last night of a weeklong Montreal, Quebec City and Mont Tremblant family vacation. Our final night was our much-anticipated 'date night' at this premium restaurant.
Simply put, the food presentation is beautiful, most of the dishes we had were excellent and flavourful, the sommelier was a pleasure to...

From the moment you walk in to the moment you finish your meal, you will be pampered. The friendly and welcoming staff make this not just a typical restaurant visit. From the lovely wait staff to the sommelier to check ins by the chef, you will enjoy this lovely restaurant. The food was outstanding - wish we would have known... plus
I would agree with previous writers that this might be the best restaurant in the Mont Tremblant area. Their speciality is duck, so we tried the seared foie gras, which was delicious and melted in your mouth, and the duck breast, which was served in a creamy sauce. The monk fish was moist and was served with red rice, and... plus
My finance and I recently enjoyed a delightful stay in Montreal. Me being the adventurous type decided to wonder off the beaten track looking for a truly French experience and one that would accommodate my Gluten intolerance issues. We hit pay-dirt when we discovered Le Cheval de Jade. The owners of this establishment treat you as though you are family.... plus
The food and service here are excellent. There is a lot of information given, and each dish is prepared thoughtfully. Really a culinary experience, especially with the wine pairing. It is very expensive though not overpriced (extremely high quality!), definitely a choice if you are looking to treat yourself.
Just got back from a weekend in Tremblant and our meal at Cheval de Jade was definitely a highlight! We each chose the Discovery menu and also allowed them to pair each course with wine... Simply outstanding! Sure it was not inexpensive, but rarely do you have the chance to experience the best of the best of a master chef.... plus
On a wonderfull saturday evening, on a balcony we were celebrating the birthday of a close friend. We all had the"decouverte" menu. What an experience, service, meal, atmosphere. The scallôps, the new salad, and the magret the canard were outstanding. We also appreciate the wine recommandations.
Thanks again....we will return very soon!!!
We often overlook what os close by as we are tempted for the exotic or something beyond our immediate area. Well, tonight to celebrate my wife's birthday I chose a restaurant that is listed as number 1 by many other reviewers of restaurants in Mt. Tremblant Quebec not far from our summer cottage. Thank you to all of you that... plus
What a wonderful restaurant! Homely, extremely friendly staff who really know their food and wines, we felt comfortable, welcome and appreciated the second we arrived.
The food was delicious, refined, fresh, excellently cooked and we even got a lovely visit from the chef after our desert!
We left the restaurant extremely satisfied, not too full, and would recommend this place...

We chose this restaurant after reading reviews that suggested it would offer an exceptional dining experience. We were not disappointed. We were celebrating the end of a wonderful cycling and golf holiday. Because of this, we opted for the gastronomic menu and had the accompanying wines recommended by the sommelier. The menu selections offered a delicious variety of flavours and... plus
I ate tonight what was a romantic experience with my wife. The service was amazing and it was a very charming restaurant. The food was 1st class. The chef Olivier took the time to speak to us and you can see he has kept a true passion for what he does and he does it very well. Merci bcp for... plus
Le Cheval de Jade, it's like having a typical french cuisine diner in Mont-Tremblant. The presentation and the flavour was just perfect. Beautiful restaurant. The chef and the staff was super welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. If you are a food amateur, you can't miss that place. A must!!!
Excellent meal, superb cuisine, very attentive and professional staff, felt welcomed and was a very relaxing meal. They r on my A list for Tremblant! The Chef came out to our table, he is from Montpellier France, very gracious and charming. All in all a delightful evening.
Okay, I had very high expectations after reading the reviews. Maybe too high? This is a very good place but not the best French food I have had. Expect personal service and a lovely time. The staff is very charming and tries very hard for every guest to have a memorable experience. We did not get the table d'hote because... plus
The chef treated us with a mango salsa with shrimps while waiting for our order. Delicious!
The salad, fois gras, trout and fillet mignon were absolutely exquisite. Truly good food, fresh and flavourful and the wines on the list smart chosen to compliment the menu. Deserts were looking and tasting amazing. We also enjoyed the paintings (local artists) decorating the...

This is our favourite resto on this side of the Atlantic. First, you will be warmly greeted by Frédérique, sommelier and co-ownerwith her husband, chef Olivier. As above, one of my best ever restaurant meals. Selection of foods is a bit different but interesting and tasty.
An incredible experience to see the preparation of the duck and it was incredible meal. Truly memorable.
One of the best dining experiences ever. The food, service and ambiance is first class. If you have a chance to dine here, do it! You won't regret it.
I have to say, we we re very disapointed overall. The concierge hotel sent us there and we were with our 2 kids, we should have been told this restaurant is mostly for couples.

This is one of the best dining experiences that I can remember. the magret de canard, foie gras and coconut creme bruler are to die for, the wine is pretty expensive but excellant service with a nice house specialty hot wine and tea given on the house; i would recommend anytime was a perfect romantic anniversary
Fantastic meal - the duck was excellent. Warm atmosphere and the staff was very nice and helpful! Will return on our next trip!
The staff accommodated us as vegetarians and it wasn't soggy tofu. The food was amazing and the sommelier helped us choose the perfect wine to go with it. Also the desserts were the perfect size to end a meal...not the enormous servings of most restaurants
I picked "Le Cheval de Jade" as it was highly recommended by Trip Advisor members - I wasn't disappointed.
The Chef came to our table then gave a private demonstration in French to another group which was translated by one of the hostess.
The food were excellent. Wines were a bit pricey but that's to be expected.

Having made made our reservations more than three weeks before, we arrived at the restaurant with great expectations. We were not disappointed. Had we known about this famous duck, we would... plus
This wonderful restaurant offers world class French cuisine. The service is impeccable and they will even accommodate for your children needs! We had quite a lot of great restaurant experiences and after reading all the excellent reviews were very excited about our Valentines dinner at Le Cheval de Jade. The atmosphere was just ok. Service extraordinary! The food impeccable! The owners/Chef so charming and friendly!
This restaurant is worth the cab ride outside of the general resort area on the mountain for a fantastic dinner. From start to finish the experience was wonderful. The staff were warm and welcoming right from the call for reservations. After passing by the Cheval du Jade many times during an annual ski trip to Mont Tremblant, we finally went this past week for the Luxury Duckling à la Rouennaise. The tasting menu is truly inventive and unique. Ingredient combinations are original and well balanced. Foie gras, sweetbreads, black cod, red deer, local cheeses - what an adventure for the palate. Could this get any better? Apparently so because we opted for the wine pariings. The sommelier's choices are inspired, enhancing all the flavours. The service was friendly, attentive and... plus
We spent our last evening in Tremblant at this fine restaurant. We had read many great reviews about the restaurant so we knew we would have a great experience. If you are in Mont Tremblant, don't miss this restaurant. It was perfect tonight from the moment we entered until the moment we left. Main plate - Quebec beef filet mignon grilled, almond crust, Ermine blue cheese sauce...

I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world and can honestly say the seven course dinner prepared for us this past New Year's eve was extraordinary. Service of the ladies could not have been better. We did find better food for the price elsewhere, although this was very good. We couldn't find better service however.
I'll bump to 5* since my in-laws and DH really love this place. And honestly, my only issue was slow water refills.
A cute little place with friendly service - I do recommend checking them out if you don't mind spending a bit for good food.
I enjoyed the food offerings and the cocktail I had as well as others' dishes. My scallops were very soft and well cooked and DH's red deer was perfect....

One if the few problems with restaurants rated as #1 in tripadvisor is that everybody wants to go there, including big groups and tourists from all around the world. Sometimes the place is just good enough to satisfy the hungry, easy to impress, dollar spending crowd or sometimes it's actually very good. Well, this restaurant is on the extremely good... plus
We had a nice experience with our party of 8. While the menu was a bit limited, the dishes were elegant and flavorful. 2 people in our party had sea bass which seemed to be a bit undercooked, although this may have been more of a personal preference issue. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, a very nice... plus
We loved this restaurant. Great food, ambiance, service. Just a perfect meal. We would rank this restaurant in our Top 5 list of restaurants in which we've dined.
The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The decor is nice. I had the truffle mushroom soup which was out of this world. Then the fillet with blue cheese, also good. The amuse bouche, bread and desert are also worth mentioning. Definitely worth visiting when in tremblant.
Loved this restaurant from the moment we stepped in the door, very friendly and welcoming. Such a wonderful experience. We had tasting menus and were allowed to mix and match - which we did for a couple of courses. Most restaurants won't allow this and the flexibility was refreshing!
The food was wonderful - for every course and would absolutely...

How to describe a meal that starts with a smile and an amuse bouche that was superb? What followed was one of the best meals I have ever had (best was in Tuscany). I have had the priviledge to eat in some of the best restaurants in Europe and North America. Belive it or not this little off the beaten path restaurant ranks amongst the top. Food is excellent service is frendly (not snob) and the chef/owner takes the trouble of visiting each table even when the restaurant is full
One of the best culinary experiences I've had in my life. The food was fantastic and the ambiance was perfect. They're most well-known for their duck - you must have it if you're going to make the trip!

One of the best restaurants that I have ever been to. They don't try to be anything they're not and stick with what they know well. Best restaurant I know in Canada so far. Each of my experiences there were memorable. Heavenly
I had the most memorable, wonderful meal of my life at this restaurant. We have had to quit skiing and may not return to Tremblant, but I will always have my memories of Cheval de Jade.
This is a wonderful restaurant - exquisite French food, delicious wines and very good service. Very difficult to surpass. One of the two best restarants in Canada I have been to! I highly recommend it.
Exquisite food, wonderful service and a cozy atmosphere. Perhaps the best French dinner I've ever had.
