Holder has good Yelp reviews and the 2 people at the hotel recommended it on different occasions. Excellent dinner. They accommodated our party of 6, including two small children. It was a birthday dinner and the food was fantastic.

The food was ok, but didn't live up to the hype or the setting. The creme brûlée had a perfect texture inside. But the top was a little burnt. It felt emblematic of the experience: good intentions, but under delivered.

We were able to book a last minute reservation for 13 people for a Saturday night. Impeccable service and probably the best old fashioned I have ever had. This restaurant is in a lovely old building with high ceilings. The interior is warm with wood floors and space between the tables. The service was excellent. Found the food to be very good in a rather stark environment with uneven service. Would go back again if for no other reason than it was a very good meal for a reasonable price.

Go for the buzz not for the food or service. Had great expectations which quickly dissapeared once the food arrived - overcooked and/or overspiced. Dishes returned were brought back to table and staff confronted us with their vision of how their food is prepared so that "we would know" next time we would be back. Very bad experience and complaint made to owners of this very trendy but highly... plus
