Nourriture recherchée, bon service, et une belle terrasse l'été lorsque la salle à manger ouvre grand les panneaux-fenêtres.
The Restaurant that Never Sleeps
The party starts early at Cafeteria and lasts for 20 hours. Open at 8 a.m., this trendy St. Laurent eatery enjoys a bit of every crowd. From the mid-morning folks enjoying a light brunch to the late-night fashion-plates sipping on martinis, to everyone in between. The atmosphere can best be described as non-pretentious and warm. Trop cher pour ce que la bouffe vaut. Très ordinaire!!
J'ai bien aimé ce resto. Pas le meilleur, mais quand même! Les pâtes étaient très bonnes, l'ambiance agréable et le service correct.
Three Words: WORST BREAKFAST EVER!!!! Not only was the service pretty bad (who serves sour cream instead of cream cheese????) but the food was disgusting! my friend's french toast was stale and dry, my eggs benedict were pitiful looking and not very good and we were all left with unsettling tummies after the experience. Never going there again. should have gone to Laika or L'avenue- which is... plus
Et bien je dois y avoir été une bonne soirée!!!! Les pâtes étaient parfaites, surtout les raviolis frits wow super! Les serveurs étaient très gentils...donc je me considère chanceuse!!!
The menu is very appealing, but the food is the worst I've had in a long time... incredibly salty and otherwise poor in flavor. Service & ambiance were fine, but given the mediocre cuisine, it is difficult to appreciate the restaurant as a whole.
It is really too bad that such good food is served in a place that has no idea what good service means. Horrible experience with waitress, never seen before!!!
Each time we go to Montreal we have breakfast at the Cafeteria. What a fun place to have breakfast and it's the best ever!! The wait staff are very helpful and accomodating. We ended up eating breakfast here every day each time we visited!
There are several "staple" restaurants I go to every time I am in a city I've been to and Cafeteria is one of them. It's friendly, right in the heart of restaurant area, and the moules-et-frites are great. The italian sausage pasta is also worth a try. Have a later dinner and set foot outside to a very fun area!
Arrived in Montreal in need of a good drink and great food. Stumbled upon this restaurant and loved every minute of the short time we were there. First of all, the server was amazing start to finish. She was accommodating and super helpful in regards to telling us about the area. We both had a mojito and the calamari and... plus
Had a quick lunch on a nice Saturday afternoon. Great deal on mussels and fries for about $16. Shared b/w 2 people and it was a lot of mussels in a nice dijon cream sauce. Would be enough for 2 people. Atmosphere was nice but entire inside needs a bit of upkeep.
Nice ambiance. Good portion of mussels and fries. Good service with a smile. Very "in" crowd of younger people. Would be better if the menu outside matched the menu inside. Nice daily specials.
I love going to Cafeteria for brunch... their food is plentiful and there is a large enough variety. Sometimes I feel I'm paying for the "ambience." It's fun enough in the evening, I enjoyed my cocktails, but it is a bit pricey.
Awful food and horrible service, but reats a 10 out of 10 on the people=watching scale

The main attraction here at Cafétéria is the breakfast, which apart from being an incredible value is served late in evenings. For lunch and dinner expect solid, standard continental fare with vaguely Italian overtones, complemented by pleasantly eclectic decor and music. The crowd is basically the same all day (hip, but not unbearably so) but its attitude changes with the music, and things get... plus

Popular with the younger crowd, Cafeteria serves Italian favorites like fried calamari and goat cheese rolled in eggplant. Choose your favorite pasta and sauce for your entree and with their wine list your meal will be complete.
