Adequate
May 09, 2012

Stayed 2 nights on July 3 and 4. Not impressed with the front desk that wouldn't check in my wife and kids without my "authorization" over the phone. Breakfast was good, and convenient if you're travelling with kids.

NIce place to stay in Vancouver
September 13, 2011

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Vancouver. It is an older building, but has been recently remodeled. We had a large room with an over-sized bath. Breakfast is included and is cooked fresh with many choices. The only negative is the parking which was $19/day, but standard for a downtown hotel and probably less than some others. We would go back again.

August 06, 2011

Enjoyed our stay, service was excellent and breakfast was really good. Things are a little dated but they are working on that. Construction on front entrance was a nuisance but not a major hassle. We would stay at the Cascadia again. The location was excellent for what we like to do in Vancouver, walk to dinner, go to museum, ride bikes and go to Granville Island. July 31, 2011

It is located right in the middle of this wonderful city with all neighborhoods and Stanley Park within walking distance. The room was fine and included a full kitchen with a good view. The scaffolding was still up from a very recently completed renovation of the facade. Often times there was a bit of a line at the counter, but not bad really.

The Hotel was under repair so the "maintenance" is only a work in progress. The room was very spacious and well equipped (free wifi). Otherwise the hotel is 15 to 20mn walk from any place downtown Vancouver. The breakfast was included and the quality is great. The parking is very easy and cheap for such a town. July 20, 2011

This hotel was renovating so the pool was not useable. The big plus was free internet and a great breakfast buffet for my teenagers. It was near the West Side which is the "gay" district so if that bothers you just don't go that way. A good 25- 30 min walk to Canada Place.

warm, friendly staff. being renovated, but noise was at a minimum. clean, comfortable room/suite. Beautiful views of downtown Vancouver. GREAT location -- 6 blocks to Yaletown, 10 blocks to the West end, and Stanley Park --- two blocks from the Granville bridge. What a nice place to stay in Vancouver!!!!! We arrived very late around 11:30 p.m. and were greeted by the desk man who was very funny and accommodating. He sent a bell man right out who then took our luggage right to our room. The room was very nice and even though to hotel was undergoing renovation, it was never a concern or a bother to us. Great location, 20 minute walking to convention center. Good resturants nearby. Under some construction but it was not an inconvenience since I was in conference most of the day. “Under Construction, but very easy to get along with
May 27, 2011

I actually checked out after 2 days of my 7 day stay because the hotel was under construction; something only slightly alluded to on the Expedia Website. That said the hotel exceeded my expectations and would stay there again and recommend as long as you call them in advance to check if they are using a Hilti drill above your head.

May 13, 2011

The hotel was wrappend in a green net. Loud construction work was going on from 8am to 5pm. The gym was just a regular hotel room with two training units. The pool was offsite - a ten minute walk. None of this was announced before the arrival and there was no discount.

We stayed at the Cascadia on our first trip to Vancouver. The hotel is close to the West End, Yale Town, and Granville Island, so there are lots of interesting restaurants and shops in walking distance. This was a great place to stay at a fantastic price. Price of the hotel was at least $100 less than surrounding places, and it featured a well-stocked hot breakfast buffet. Once we entered our room, we heard nothing from the rooms or hallways around us, even though we were across the hall from the elevators. I would definitely stay here again; it is perfectly located and great value.
