Residence Inn by Marriott Ottawa is your best choice for suites in downtown Ottawa. Whether traveling for business or leisure, every over-sized hotel suite offers comfortable accommodations and every
The Residence Inn by Marriott Ottawa hotel offers newly renovated suites and a great downtown Ottawa location within easy walking distance from museums, galleries, restaurants, entertainment, plentiful shopping as well as key corporate and government Ottawa offices.
Spacious one bedroom for 4 people. The rooms are a little dated but well equipped. We were in Ottawa for the army run weekend. Fantastic location to the start & finish. Walking distance to Sparks St, parliament, Rideau centre, byward market.
I wasn't impressed with the overall quality of the room. Sheets were loosely fitted, anchored by flimsy straps, the pullout couch wasn't pleasant (ripped underside with fabric falling out that looked like giant dust bunnies). It felt like a cheap hotel to be blunt. The pool and gym however were fine. Bottom line, it's a budget hotel, not particularly surprised or disappointed by the experience
The Inn has underground parking, and $21/day is charged. Fair enough. But they were more cars than spaces on the weekend we stayed, and so at 11 pm one night, there were cars circling underground hunting for spaces that weren't there. The hotel doesn't tell you ahead of time about their "first come, first served' policy, and so finding overnight parking was a problem at a late hour. The hotel... more
Our stay was great. I chose the Residence Inn due to its location, room size/layout and included breakfast and my husband and I were pleased with all 3. The location was great - a short walk from the university and Parliament Hill. Our room was huge, clean and had a perfect layout. Our bedroom was separated from the living room with a door and our suite also included a pull-out bed in the... more
Great location. Nice customer service. Great breakfast buffet. Rooms huge no noise. Beds not very comfy. Pillows too tall.
Excellent location, good breakfast, rooms in need of a refresh. Would not stay again unless they upgraded the rooms.
Parking garage elevator was broken and not told , had to take stroller and 2 kids up down ramp and 2 levels not being told so. Also, garbage and recycling not emptied in room.
I spent 3 nights at this hotel for the Ottawa Marathon week end and it was perfectly situated, just a few minutes of the races. A runner myself, I was very happy to be so close of the action but also close of the Parlament Hill and the Byward Market.
I had a large room at the 13th floor (which...

Beautiful hotel near of everything the hotel workers are nice, friendly good customer service! Love the continental breakfast. The parking space was a bit small though since it's an old hotel! It's nice because there is Tim hortons downstairs!
On my last business trip I booked 2 large suites. Very spacious, all furnished. It was 50$ cheaper than a regular room at the Sheraton close by, and what a difference! My boyfriend and I spent the last long week-end (16-18 of May) at this hotel, which was closely located to everything we wanted to see in Ottawa and take in the "Tulip Festival".

the hotel is nice close to down town and very convenient to our visit purpose, but the room is very old, facilities, bathroom and kitchen is in a disappointing condition.
Great location - took free shuttle bus to tulips at Dow's Lake. Walked to Byward Market a number of times and have dinner both nights in that area. Cocktails at the Chateau were also good.
I was originally at the Embassy Suites, which was hot like a furnace so we moved to the Residence Inn on Laurier. We paid twice as much for the switch but the room was tiny, the sofa bed was awful, luckily we were able to get a cot for my seven year old. The neighbors, who had adjoining doors to ours cooked curry and onion smelling food our entire two night stay. The smell was so strong it... more
We had a great time! Loved the room and all the space. It was nice to have the divided rooms to have a bit of privacy. Was at the top end of our budget, but the breakfast included made up the difference. We'd definitely stay here again.
Suite was perfect since we were 5, didn't use much of it because we only stayed for one night. Breakfast was good too. The only bad thing is that I chose the hotel also because it had a pool. I wanted to use the pool in the evening and the pool was being repaired or something. Kids were disappointed and we could have chosen a not so expensive hotel instead. They offered us to use the pool of a... more

The hotel is withing walking distance of most of Ottawa's must see sites. Still we were able to prepare... more
The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was adequate and tasty. This is a dated hotel but it has a decent breakfast included. The hotel's location is good and central.
Spent 2 nights at the hotel with our family of 4.Room is very spacious. Breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful with suggestions of things to do and a restaurant. Pool was good. Location was good.Mattress on the double beds were OK, but not great. Mattress on the sleep sofa was pretty thin. The reception area and breakfast is on the 4th floor which is a little bit odd, but not a problem.
We stayed for one night at this hotel, over the holidays. Our daughter had given us tickets to a show at the NAC and we decided to make a mini-vacation out of the trip into town. Our family of 4 stayed at the Residence Inn for 2 nights during Winterlude. Lacks character as it is in commercial building.
Rooms are basic, but spacious. Kitchen well outfitted. Two TV's. Dining table. All things that are useful for family trip.
Staff very helpful.
Over the top service!
The service levels at this property are that of a Four Seasons.

We stayed here in May 2013. A little awkward of an entrance and check in area where you have to go to second floor, but otherwise very impressed by the size and layout of this hotel. I generally like this Residence Inn. It is well located, the rooms are great and while the breakfast can be a little crowded it is well stocked. While this was certainly not a 5 Star hotel most of our needs were met.
