The hotel was newly renovated. Staff were nice. Beds were & rooms were comfortable. We have a member of our family with special needs and so had to have a fridge and a microwave. They both were new and worked well. No kids TV though, you'll have to bring your own video. The problem was the intoxicated people visiting the bar, hanging out in the lobby and staying in the rooms. Wolf howls and war... more
I was traveling on business and was a little nervous about this hotel's 2.5 star rating but I found my room to be clean and comfortable - and the staff service was excellent, recommending a nearby restaurant and calling for taxis when I needed them.
Although the rooms have been recently renovated, and the hallways and elevators are very nicely appointed, the entry lobby is tired and needs help. The hot tub was not working, and the pool area was yucky.
The staff was very nice, very helpful, and seemed genuinely interested in customer service.
Stayed there recently with friends while attending a convention in Saskatoon. Got a very nice price of $100 + taxes for a room with 2 queen beds, small fridge and microwave. Had a room on the 5th floor, and everything was renovated as per the pics. Check in was very quick and our first night went perfectly. Second night had... more
Stayed here a few nights in June 2010. The good: - the hallways and elevators are nice - check in was good - free parking - large room - great shower head - fairly quiet even though it's on a main road - fridge - wireless internet - bed was OK The bad: - the lobby smells like the inside... more
If you're looking for a place to just spend the night then the Ramada is probably acceptable. As a base for an extended stay in Saskatoon, I would recommend one of the downtown hotels. The hotel is located along a main roadway but not in a very nice area of the city. It is within close driving distance of the... more
This hotel is great...everything from the rooms, to the staff, to the location! We had a very nice stay here! Check in was a breeze! We were on the 5th floor and the rooms were very nice. They had comfy beds, great pillows, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, free parking, and free internet! There is also a pub and... more
The newly remodeled bedrooms were very nice. Nicely appointed furniture with lovely amenities {fridge, microwave} surpassed only by a VERY comfortable bed. The location is also very good ; close {5 minutes} to downtown and easy drive to the airport. The best part of the stay were the people who were ready to help with anything that could make my... more
Recently stayed at the Ramada, Saskatoon which has been home to my buisness travel for some 20 plus years. I must say the hotel no longer resembles its former self, and the rooms could be put up against any that I have stayed in. Prior to renovation I was actively looking for a new place to stay, but they have... more
by Twila (from ) December 2009 - Overall, our experience was great! Comfortable bed; clean room. The breakfast was delicious and the friendly waitress made brekfast a very pleasant experience. We were warned of the renovations so expected the slow elevator. Have to admit, the receptionist at the front desk was not too welcoming. Yes, we will return.
7 of us stayed at the Ramada on Idylwyld for 5 nights. The hotel is in the midst of renovations. The rooms were clean yet dated, the shower oscillated between scalding hot and freezing cold, the 4th floor hallway was extremely hot, the walls were paper thin and the area is sketchy at best. We witnessed transients entering the lobby... more
Selected as official hotel 4 a badminton tourney. $109 for 2 Queens.Golf Dome closed, pool shut down n elvator down to 1. Very noisy on Thurs n Sat nites from the pub. Police was presented. Hotel wouldn't let go the bar revenue but is in the expense of the patrons. Room definitely not set up for business travelors. It is... more
They had a large party for Teenagers Thursday and Friday night so the kiddies were very loud very late at night. The Room service was fast but the food was lousy. It has been 'under renovation' for the last 2 yrs and I see no improvements, things are still very run down.
I've read some the reviews here, and frankly they miss the mark. Is the hotel GREAT, maybe not....but it's not that bad. Close to Sask Place....check in pretty smooth....beds were OK..... I'm not sure how much folks expect for their money, but this hotel is alright.
People...please don't even think about staying here. This hotel is a pure DUMP! I was on my way to Edmonton with my family and stayed in Saskatoon over night. I thought wow, a pool and a golf dome it should be good. I was wrong. We couldn't even go swimming our eyes instantly burned from the smell of the pool.... more
booked through hotwire 4 2 nights smoking room 2 queen beds when i got to the lobby saw some odd characters, drunks beside the atm at 10 am i found that odd. upon checking in i aked if the hotel was safe and area the respond i got was um ya your safe in the hotel. being a hotwire booking... more
My boyfriend and I as well as seven other friends all stayed one night, and we all ended up taking turns sleeping on the way home. We arrived in Saskatoon at 2:45, we thought that they would let us check in but instead the 9 of us had to sit in the lobby, as they let other people check in... more
There wasn't much that I liked about this hotel, and I am struggling to come up with something nice to say. I stayed here because my meeting was held in the boardroom. The boardroom was fine, so that's something. The location of this hotel is poor. It is located in a sort of industrial area. Because I did not rent... more
I knew I might in Saskatoon on short notice so although I had made a mental note to avoid the Ramada, based on reviews I saw here, I ended up there at 9 pm on a Sunday night, having checked five other places that had no room (by going to them in person). So I was desperate! I got the... more
Not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in but for the money there are better in Stoon. Not dirty, but grimy. Noisy, paper thin walls, bad area, lots of bars with noise well into the night. There is a lot security guards around talking to one another. Not up to Ramada Inn standards.
by s (from regina, sk) September 2008 - Went to a wedding in Saskatoon and booked 3 rooms for family. It was a week later that my sister pointed out the less than favorable reviews online. It was now too late to make changes as the city was booked.Wow.The rooms were excellent. The staff was excelent.Security was excellent. We had a great stay here. The hotel is a little older but not old.A Hilton... more
This hotel is old and outdated. I would not recommend this hotel. This is not up to Ramada standards and I felt like it was false advertising. We checked out after one night. The restaurant was the only good part.
We stayed at the Sask. Ramada and Golf dome to attend a hockey Tournament for our 11 & 12 year old hockey team. Our 1st game was at 2pm on Friday, and thinking that most hotels will not let you check in early, we were happily surprised to find that this was not the case. The front desk and security... more
Some co-workers and I had to stay in Saskatoon for work on Feb. 21, 2008. Usually our company books us at the Sheraton or the Radisson, but since there were several conventions going on the Ramada was the only place with rooms. The front desk staff were friendly when we checked in, and the lobby didn't look too bad. Once... more
I thought the best way to explain my stay is to attach the letter I sent to the hotel and the Ramada head office. Dear Janelle, I am writing on behalf of our Swim Team and in particular our coaches, chaperone, and bus driver with respect to our stay on January 31st - February 3rd, 2008. Let me begin by... more
We had a conference booked there and were very hesitant to attend because of what we read. However, it went really quite well. The rooms we identical to the picture shown on the website (for business class) and that floor was accessible to those staying on it only. They view was nice at night. Yes there are bars in the... more
This ia the worst place you can stay poor service poor attitudes security finds trouble where there isnt any, very scarey!!! you dont get the room you booked they lose reservations if there's a way to screw you they will watch out people if i had 5 thumbs they would all be down no stars here
It was quite a while since I had stayed here...................Has this place gone down hill or what. Definition of Dive = Ramada Hotel & Golf Dome All young employees that don't know too much about customer service. It looks like all the riff raff stay here or whatever other word you want to use. Dirty to say the least. We... more
Stayed at this hotel March 10 and 11, 2007 with a soccer tournament. Room condition was very poor, it looked like someone had put holes in the walls and they had been patched that morning. Drywall patch still wet. Very dirty and had mold areas in the bathroom. Beds extremely old small and totally uncomfortable. Bedding looked like it hadnt... more
The room had a bad smell that only increased when we turned the heater on in the room. The heater was dusty and very, very loud. The cleaners must have missed the bathroom entirely as there was someone elses soap in the bathtub and the sink and they were both covered in hair (as was most of the tub). When we complained to the front desk they only ensured us that it would be thouroughly... more

This hotel was possibly the worst one we seasoned travellers have ever stayed at! The beds were in awful shape. The bathroom was very dirty. The Golf Dome was closed (one of the reasons we chose this hotel). There was no parking available in the lot and the area was not very safe to leave your car on the street.... more
I stayed at this hotel for a travel convention with about 60 other delegates. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was overwhelming. Every staff member I encountered during my staff addressed me by name from the desk staff to the restaurant server to the bartender who remembered what each of us had to drink daily. Some of the rooms... more
The beds are small doubles, hard, springs sticking up, sheets and blankets didn't fit, rooms not the least bit sound proof, ran out of hot water real fast, black mold around tub tiles, heater didn't work and when maintenance opened it up it had about half an inch of dust and dirt caked in it - disgusting. I must say... more
I would not go quite as far as saying it is terrible, I've stayed in worse when I was caught in one of Saskatchewan's famous snow storms. For your money the Holiday Inn Express is a far better choice.
We pulled into the Remada Hotel late on a Friday evening. Our room was VERY dirty, there was pee on the toilet seat, one of the beds was broken, there was lipstick on some glasses, and the one wall appeared that something had run down it in several spots. We were only staying there because we were attending a wedding... more
