The Quality Inn West Harvest is not a cheap hotel it's affordable!
Everything was just average with a distinct lack of amenities. Instead of the personal touch it had vending machines which lacked necessary items needed. The service from the front dest staff ranged from good to bad; inconsistent and frustrating.
A little worn but the room was comfortable. Prompt and efficient staff. Decent restaurant. Free parking was nice but location was a negative as you have to drive everywhere. Would stay there again though because it was good value.
foyer...very nicely put together...and there was plenty of parking.. Negative: It was impossible for us to find some of the facilities, such as the gift shop...spa. the signs never clearly marked where they were located...so needless to ..."
If you get a cheap rate ,be expected to be put in the West Tower........aka as the ghetto side i.m.h.o..I was there first night, Internet went down ,people smokingin rooms not supposed to. partying all night.Police came etc etc.... 04-30-2011.Second and third night was in the East Tower....was ok ,but I paid half the price in Vegas for twice as nice room.FYI ,when I booked it said it included a... more
In general speaking I was very satisfied staying at the hotel and the breakfast was good to.
My only complaint was on the service of the restaurant at the hotel. We had breakfast at the hotel the first two mornings and the service was poor. It did not seem very busy, but it took almost a half hour for anyone to take our order. After the poor service the first two days, we went off site to eat breakfast. The restaurant seemed very unorganized and was not very friendly. Other than that... more
One of my faves, unfortunately after 9 hours of driving the Botanica night staff were adrift in a sea of incompetency. After a 20 minute wait with our menus and having poured ourselves our own water as I was having a coughing jag, we left the half dozen or so other customers and went to Esmeraldas! The waitress, [...]served us immediately even though she had quite a few customers in the bar!... more
i had a nice stay in edmonton. the staff was nice and friendly. the breakfast buffet was good. i'm a bacon and eggs guys so i was satified. the hotel itself was clean but needs a big time facelift
Everything was really good here, the hotel was clean, the room was great, however the front desk for check in was slow. There was eight of us waiting to check in and they only had one guy on the front desk, if you don't mind a wait this hotel is great for the price and location.
Stayed here to go to a concert at the Rexal. Rooms were clean, hallways seemed a little dingy with stains and stuff but wasn't too bad. Room was cheap and we only stayed one night so it worked for what we needed!!
I had booked my stay at the Kingsway Ramada on Hotwire: I got a deal but I wasn't informed of what hotel I would be staying at until after I paid for it. After I did, and found out it was the Ramada on Kingsway, I read the TripAdvisor reviews and blanched ... so many bad reviews. I was prepared... more
I stayed last year one week for a training course. Nice conference center the rooms are just OK clean basic . It was a company paid accommodation but I have to scoop this money from my pocket probably I wouldn’t. They have restaurants on site the hotel si kind in a non residential area not too much around a Canadian... more
We will never stay there again. The hotel is being run into the ground. The beds were hard as a rock. The rooms were stuffy and hot even with the heater turned off. Room service trays stayed in the halls for days on end. Towels and extra blankets had holes in them. We asked for a wheelchair accessible room but... more
I came to the Ramada Conference Centre not because I was traveling, but because I needed a restful place to stay on a Saturday night (my noisy, people-filled house was not an option). First of all, I have to admit - after reading some of the less favorable reviews on this site, I was quite apprehensive and downright nervous about... more
I booked the hotel online, and judging by the photos (and Ramada's reputation) thought I got a great bargain (less than 100$). However, I was deeply disappointed (and my standards were not that high!). The wall next to the elevator were in desperate need of painting, the whole place looked very run down (the buttons in the elevators had been... more
I recently flew to Edmonton on business and stayed at the Ramada Hotel & Conference Centre by the municipal airport. I found the room to be comfortable, and the staff to be friendly and helpful. The hotel seems to be well managed and the employees focused on customer service. I'd definitely stay here again; in fact I'm spending another week... more
We reserved this room online through Hotwire based on 2-star criteria (it was under $100 to stay per night). I can honestly say that we paid too much for an average-sized room with dirty, stale smoke-smelling hallways/ flooring and a toilet with a filthy seat (to the point where you couldn't tell whether it was beige-brown from old or new... more
I came off of night shift. My sleep and eating schedules were not back to normal. Food was extremely hard to come by. Room service begins late and ends early, and is shut down in the middle of the day. The vending machines don't even have food in them. Location is great for what I was doing.
Absolutely terrible experience. Was only in edmonton for one quick night, therefore thought it didn't really matter where I stayed. I booked this hotel through expedia thinking Ramada had a decent reputation. Boy was I mistaken. The first thing I noticed when walking into the lobby was large groups of loud and frightening looking people. After reading more reviews on... more
An older hotel, but relatively clean. The front desk was pleasant, not speedy. Stopped in one of the restaurant/bars - noone was working - could not get questions answered, and could not order a refreshment. No one was there working - there were patrons, a man was waiting to pay and no one was there. We got to our room after walking down a freshly (smelly) painted hall - smelled like old paint... more
I was in town on my own as i had a appointment to deal with. My husband and I travel quite often, and this was the worst experience ever for me. I was even in Las Vegas last month and my room was a few dollars cheaper and lot better room. First problem was i have my reservations sheet i... more
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights for a conference that had approx 300 attendees. The group responsible for the conference signed a 3 year contract with this hotel. Last year's conference was held here. When we arrived there was one person checking people into the hotel. When we finally received our room it was in the East... more
Like any review, the opinions are relative. I've stayed in the good, the bad and the ugly. This is in between the last two. Elevators took ten minutes to arrive and not because there were so many people staying there - they aren't programmed to collect people properly. You can hear them whizzing by but they were mostly empty. You... more
Staff was friendly and courteous. Upgraded my room no extra charge. Area of room was nice and quiet.
I recently stayed here at the Ramada Confrence Centre and found the hotel to be very clean with renovated rooms, Large screen television in the room, staff was very friendly, and the food was amazing. The hotel i found was very quiet. I recommend staying here for the price and good service. I was treated very good by all staff,... more
The service in the hotel it's self was good. The problem was the resturant the service was the the best. It was gettting to the bad side. The price were to high, the service from the staff was terrible. The date that we were there, the resturant staff seem to cater to only certain patrons and the rest of us had to wait or fend for our selves.
Excellent Customer Service, very clean rooms and a friendly atmosphere.
Stay here if you like but DO NOT take your own vehicle here. While we stayed here our van was vandalized in broad daylight ( 4:00 pm to 5:30pm). Two other vehicles we know of were also vandalized during our four day weekend stay. The security people could not even be bothered to help us with our situation. I guess... more
It was a toss up...Was I going to put my 2 small dogs in the kennel, again? My husband's death in June had affected us all deeply and I really missed my 2 "girls" when I travel and I end up having to put them in the kennel. So I was so happy to find this location that made it possible for us to spend time together. The staff made us feel welcome and our encounters with them during our stay... more
We enjoyed our stay very much and the staff was very friendly.
I spent one night at this hotel on a weekend visit to Edmonton. No problems with check in, had booked and received a renovated room. We received 10% off the rate with our entertainment book and paid $99 for the night. The room was clean and average sized. We could have used a duvet on the bed - there was... more
we had a wonderful weekend, the front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the pub and resturant were topnotch. i would definetly stay again.
The WIFI didn't work in either room. The on Demand videos were very fuzzy on the TV. The mattress on the bed was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. We found hair in our food at the hotel restaurant. The staff was very unhelpful in helping us find things to do in the surrounding area. Overall, it was very unsatisfactory. This is coming from someone who has travelled all over the world and... more
I stayed in one of the rooms that had been renovated and found it to be very comfortable and great value for the price. I will return.
As far as the customer service aspect of the Ramada it's fair, but only if you don't have any problems. The hotel is VERY limited when it comes to smoking rooms. If you make a reservation you should get what you reserved, Period. However the hotel management often used the excuses, "We're just really busy, come back tomorrow", "Sorry we... more
I just had a delightful experience at the Ramada Conference Center in Edmonton and felt the need to share. From the time I arrived until I checked-out two days later, absolutely everything ran smoothly. Even with renovations taking place in the parking lot, there was no shortage of parking space on a Saturday evening. The employees at the reception desk... more
If anyone can think of anything negative to say about the customer service provided at this hotel, they're insane. My husband has been staying at the Ramada since June 2nd for business. Our anniversary also happened to fall within this time frame, and since I was unable to fly all the way to Edmonton from Dallas, TX, I wanted to... more
I stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of May and I've never been more happy to leave a place. When I first got there I noticed that the hotel is located smack dab in the middle of a really bad part of Edmonton, everything was pretty old and there were homeless people and other vagrants wandering around. I... more
Smells old and musty ,the minute you walk in .Our non smoking room smelled and had alot of cigarette holes in the carpet. Hot in rooms and the wind blew and whistled through the patio door all night . Needed tokens or a creit card to use the vending machines .Front desk was quite a walk to get too, only... more
When we first walked into the lobby of the hotel, it seemed quite nice. As we approached the elevators, the age of the building became more evident. The elevators slowly took us up to the 12th floor. (One was even out of order) The corridor carpets were filthy, the lighting was poor and the walls needed work and paint. To... more
After reading the reviews on here, I was sure I was viewing the wrong hotel… I stayed there for business about the middle of January and my stay was great! You could tell that they have just undergone some major renovations and my room was very comfortable. I also found the staff to be quite pleasant and helpful. The last... more
After reading the reviews I was a little apprehensive about being a woman staying at this hotel by myself but the location was excellent for the weekend tournament I was attending with my pet that was also staying with me so I decided to try it. The room was large & the service & hotel overall was fine, certainly in... more
Trust what the other reviewers say about this place. It really is that bad. I too, experienced the poor management, room that smelled like smoke, dirty hallways, dirty entrance, dirty parking lot, slow elevator, rude staff, etc. I have stayed at other Ramada's throughout Western Canada, and have enjoyed my stay at each of them until now. Needless to say... more
Wow! Rarely, have I been so unimpressed by a Hotel. First of all, I had asked for a Non-Smoking room however, the room I was given was obviously smoked in prior. When I tried to call the front desk (yes, I did try to call from the room many times) however, no one answerer so I had to go down... more
The otherreviews on this site aren't kidding exaggerating about how awful this hotel is. There is nothing good to say - honestly there isn't!!! The front desk staff were totally not helpful with check in. They seemed more interested in chatting and playing video games. At least they could have made an effort to appear to be interested to help... more
This hotel was listed on the corporate travel list at work, so we assumed it was fine. It is not! We were first given a "non-smoking" room on the West tower that smelled a lot like a smoking room. Well, it could have been because the entire floor did as well. The carpets, upholstery, washroom fixtures are extremely out of... more
Admittingly the last time I stayed at this hotel was in the late 80s, and then it was a clean well maintained facility that catered to the business and mid level customers. Sadly this facility has deteriorated to the point it now appears to tend to oil patch workers and migrant workers as a mainstay. The hallways reek of stale... more
Stayed for the Indy, across the street from the track. Its not that bad. Its not the Ritz. They have renoed the place and looks like they continue to do so. All the staff were exceptionally friendly. The food in the Bistro was excellent. But theres no other rests near by... The Cons: Middle of nowhere. Nothing near by to... more
The Ramada on Kingsway is currently being renovated. It's a pity they didn't start by eliminating the awful smell in the elevators first. Every one of the three elevators smelled. One like body odor, one like urine and the third one was so indescribably bad that I actually would have preferred walking up 11 floors. Everything that has been written... more
One word describes this run down hell hole..... TERRIBLE! This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life, PERIOD! Don't waste a dime on this place, it suffers from the following. - Dirty every where - lobby, rooms, pool - Run down as hell. I felt like I was in some seedy dive in the inner... more
My husband and I just got back from a 4 night stay at the Ramada on Kingsway, Edmonton. We flew to Edmonton for medical reasons. The medical rate was good but that was the best feature. We will not stay there again !! The first room was dirty, I had to wash the table in order to lay our breakfast... more

As a businessman, the internet was totally unaccceptable. Three days out of five I could not initially connect. The average wait on hold to talk to the hotels technical Help Desk provider was 45 minutes. Then it was another 30-45 minutes for the Help Desk to resolve or identify the problem. Once the problem was identified as being unique to... more
Our first room was horrible! The carpet was full of stains and burn marks. The loveseat in the room was old and ratty. I must say though when I complained about it they did upgrade our room at no extra charge so I would have to say the service was good.
What a place!!! I like the location and was influenced but a lobby appearence and organisation of several conferences I attended at this place so I decided to check it out. I have travelled a lot and been everywhere in Alberta and BC on a business trip. I would rate this place as a worst one ever stayed. My list... more
Reasonable rates. Beautiful lobby. The room we stayed in was okay, average, needs some upkeep.
Having to make a last minute trip to Edmonton left us with few hotel options. We booked at the Ramada and then I read the reviews on Trip Advisor. Needless to say I was worried about what I had just booked. Since we had no other option we went with what I had read, and hoped for the best, expecting the worst.... more
RAMADA KINGSWAY Edmonton Very big Hotel, only 1 or 2 people on front desk and always busy, at times to busy to address problems of guests. Room was cold even with heat at 80 degrees , noticed window broke out of track on third day. The Ramada Kingsway (formerly the Edmonton Inn) is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It is dirty beyond imagine, it smells bad, the service is bad, the food is lousy, there was vomit in the restroom of the restaraunt. I the 5 days that I had to stay there the complimentry coffee was either empty or there... more
This is a terribly rundown dirty hotel. Most of the staff couldn't be bothered to help you, allthough there were a couple who were really good. The hotel is dirty, smells bad, elevators hardly close, heating in the room didn't work properly, the food was terrible, walls everywhere were beat up corners knocked off the drywall, carpets were stained, an... more
Well where to start??? First of all coming into the parking lot, there was no parking spots at all, I had to park across the street at the Canadian Tire, then haul all of my bags over to the hotel. Being that all the bar/pub patrons had all the parking. Once there I was met by 20 or so young... more
We stayed here twice in October, due to my Mother's surgery at the Royal Alexandra. The first time was an emergency trip, and we were just happy to get a room. It was a little run down, but clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The carpet seemed dirty, but after walking on it in bare feet, I saw that... more
Booked in here for 2 nights, mainly because of the price and proximity to downtown Edmonton. However, the area was rather run down, and although it was only a 15 minute walk to the city, I wouldn't have felt comfortable walking it. The sign on the automatic door wasn't promising - NO SOLICITING - although we didn't see any evidence... more
We came and stayed here for my son's hockey tournament. Don't let the entrance fool you on the appearance, I think they spent all there money on the main floor than the rest of the hotel. First of all their air conditioners were the c@!%s when they worked, the floors were disgusting, and the cleaning ladies never wiped our tables... more
We stayed at the hotel June 27 through June 30 while attending my partner's son's basketball tournament. The hotel was designated as team lodging, so we had no choice. Had we been give the option to stay elsewhere, we would have. We had a 2 room suite that was in deplorable condition. The wall paper and paint were peeling, there... more
When you enter this hotel you immediately notice how low the ceiling is and it is very conjested. We were ignored by the desk staff (who were just chatting) for several minutes. The elevators are extremely slow--even a worker there said it was driving him crazy. We were given a smoking room--even though they insisted it was not--guess all the... more
