Good location close to shopping

First impression of staff at front desk was very poor. Employee seemed to be overworked resulting in rudeness to us as we were trying to check. This was a very poor first impression. Rooms were fine and other members of staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel has nothing flashy but it does the job at a great price. Manager and staff are awesome.
Conveniently located next to Atlantic SuperStore, a short walk to the canoe club and a short drive from the beaches. Also plenty of restaurants around.

Super Nice Staff

The sign out front need's the bulb replaced. We were a little apprehensive seeing that when we pulled in late at night. The front lobby and staff very warm and friendly. Parking is an issue,for the number of rooms available.

Great value and good location

I spent a restful night here and was pleased with the peace and quiet of my room. I had some computer work that had to be completed and their wifi was great, good coverage and a dependable connection. The bed was comfortable, the room had plenty of room, and the parking area was well-illuminated at night.

Just what we were looking for.

We wanted something close to Micmac Mall and Dartmouth Crossings in Halifax/Dartmouth and this was close to both and easy to find. Not too expensive but comfortable and with free parking. Would stay there again.

The staff were very accomodating and friendly.

The service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to assist us in getting around Dartmouth and Halifax.

We were very pleased with our stay. The staff was wonderful and we were extremely pleased on their attitudes and acceptance of our two puppies....it made for a great trip. We would definitely recommend this hotel for all animal lovers.

Non smoking room still smelled of smoke

The room was clean and large. BUT the room had obviously converted from smoking to non-smoking, but had not been properly cleaned and still smelled of stale smoke. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is close to both the Halifax bridges and there are some decent restaurants nearby.

Needs repairs and updates

I was surprised to see this hotel charging this much for a hotel that needs updates. The carpets in our room were lifting off and were quite lumpy and had rolls that were quite visible. The mattresses were quite old and lumpy. I would not return or recommend.

Convenient, easy stop

Easy stop-off point located between Halifax and the Airport. I got in quite late and left fairly early in the AM for a long drive. Staff was friendly and accomodating; they helped me make this work seamlessly. Its a no-frills place that met my needs perfectly, but wouldn't be described as hip, cushy, or beautiful. I was looking for a hotel near by halifax downtown, I was visiting halifax for H1 stamping @ us embassy. This hotel was the cheapest i found and booked it and was very happy with tmy stay. Internet connection was good (wi-fi access) - very near to a mall (mic mac mall) and also easy access to freeway to get to airport. There is atlantis supermarket in walking distance. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the largest mall in the area, the Mic Mac mall. It's located right by the water and across the street from a grocery store so everything you need is within walking distance.
