If you want to stay downtown, close to Granville Island (where you can catch a little ferry boat) and you don't have a lot of money, this place is okay. But just okay.
When we went to Vancouver, we always booked this hotel.
Parking 18 bucks a night plus tax. Too expensive.
Friendly helpful staff. We arrived before checkin time but we told our room was ready. Rooms are clean and comfortable beds. Would go back anytime.
This hotel was a last minute pick due to its good location and its affordability. The rooms are clean and non smoking...so great for me. Morning coffee was brought promptly and was tasty.
It's not fancy, but it's functional, and the staff are lovely. I was conferencing at Granville Island so I could walk over the bridge, or take the water taxi over. Very handy.
Overall a very good hotel, although it is a bit old. New furniture and an excellent staff make up for the old building.
It is located on the busy street and has single-pane windows. The road noise was very noticeable resulting in no sleep. The heater was very basic - could only be on or off, regardless of temperature - we started from freezing and were boiling in the morning
Hotel staff was amazing, far better than I have experienced in a 5-star hotel. The location of the hotel was ideal for shopping, nightlife and dining as they were only a short walk away. Rooms were clean and well kept, with staff going out of their way to ensure of experience was enjoyable.
Rooms were nice, staff....not so much. Didnt even look at us at checkin. Rang for some wine glasses and said it couldnt be done. They didnt go out of their way.
I had missed the note that parking at the hotel would be $18.00 ............Yipes!
Thank you all specially the 2 staff at the reception that day
The location is convenient - at the edge of downtown and an easy walk to the attractions of Yaletown and Davie. Nearby bus stops provides frequent service to downtown for those who don't want to walk the distance or attempt the often frustrating search for a parking space. Construction of a high-rise building behind the hotel is nearly complete so noise should not be an issue for guests. My... more
Brief one night stay - looking for value and location.
absolutely great place to stay...close to amenities...park your car and WALK...comfy beds...nice room temperature...wonderful staff...we'll be back!!!!
Great location with great rates but the hotel is getting tired and needs updating. Bathrooms need makeup mirrors for aging eyes and hair styling. We have stayed here many times in the past but we will no longer recommend it until updates are done.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.......room clean.........restaurant efficient, friendly and food was fine.
Why I need to pay the breakfast besides the living fee?
Nothing really special about the hotel or rooms but the beds were comfy, the position is good and the staff are very helpful Hotel restaurant was average but plenty of restaurants a short walk away We found it a good base in Vancouver, easy walking distances to a lot of the attractions, nice walk fromthe hotel over the bridge to Granville Island The Vancouver hop on hop of bus stops out the... more
I wasn't feeling well during my stay, so I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable bed and the quietness of the night time environment. I slept well despite my illness. The only thing that was annoying was the pin pad for the underground parking was not working, so it was another drive around the block and back to the front desk to get help. Please put better signage for the hotel entrance... more
For the price of the room and the hotel's location, the quality of the room was appropriate. Reasonably easy to access public transit. Some restaurants in easy walking distance.
I was very satisfied with my stay at the hotel. I was taking a workshop on Granvile Island and the hotel was ideally situated to get on the bridge and to the island. The staff was very nice and all in all......I appreciated everything about the stay. There was local construction and my room was in the back of the hotel......the construction is temporary and does not affect the overall quality... more
The local is not bad, some noise with sirens which was acceptable but occasional "street people" in the alley shouting etc. The building carries noise very easily. We could always hear people in the hallway, a baby crying in some room etc.
I did an overnighter at the end of business travel and stayed at the Quality Hotel as a base to get a quick first look at Vancouver.
Overall this stay was ok for the price, but was noisy with traffic despite double glazed windows on 7th floor and we could hear the TV in neighbouring room.
Overall a good experience excepting the fire alarm going off at 7am, well at least it was in good working condition.
Rooms should have been bigger for what your paying
This hotel met all our needs during our short trip to Vancouver. Nice clean rooms, great staff and an ideal location.
Overall an excellent choice for budget minded travelers
The hotel is well situated, easy walking distance to the city - we even walked to Stanley Park from here! The room was very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly both at reception and the dining room. We ate breakfast at the hotel on both mornings of our stay, great service and the food was very good with plenty of choice. We also had one evening meal here which we... more
Very convenient, walkable distance to everywhere in City Centre (downtown). Quality as expected for price paid. Lack of a nice view. For my room that faces the road, the road noise was a bit of a disturbance. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable.
The hotel is a little run down, but overall in good condition and clean. Most everyone was very nice, but the staff that checked us in were incredibly rude, and did not even acknowledge that we walked in. Then gave us some hassle about our reservation, and made us get our confirmation. When I stepped out to get the confirmation the people overheard the staff making fun of me saying that I... more
Staff was very helpful and friendly Restaurant & bar on first floor Restaurants in close walking distance Hop off & on tour bus pickup in front of hotel I would stay there again.
What a disappointment. If I had realized that this was part of the Comfort Inn chain, I would not have booked here. It was one of the less expensive hotels in Vancouver. The nicer places were considerably more expensive. Since this was a Quality Hotel, it didn't register that it was actually a Quality Inn brand. Oh well. The rooms didn't appear to have been remodeled for 18 to 20 years. The... more
good but no bar/lunch available till 16h00 and bar closed early
The place is overall ok and would do the trick for the price considering how expensive everything is in Vancouver. However, the next morning as we were getting ready to go we found a BED BUG on the bed. Luckily we were only staying one night as there is no way we would have stayed longer at that point. We discretely informed the front desk attendant as we were checking out. His reaction? He... more
stayed for two nights, easy to come and go by car or taxi. they you can get a pass to the near by Gym (very good Gym chain) - don't forget your towel.
Staff was as professional as a 5 Star Hotel! Loved the room, and the fire place in the reception area was welcoming. I think for the price the location which was easy walking to everywhere, it was a steal! Hotels.com Rocks! Thank you!
We stayed only one night but found the hotel was pleasant and clean. The building is definitely older but our room was clean and tidy. There is an on-site restaurant (which we did not visit) and a sports bar (which we did visit).
Great location close to Granville Island. Hotel rooms are older but clean and quite adequate for overnight stay.
I chose this hotel after having stayed here three years ago and having a great stay- great location, great staff and great room! Not to mention the affordable prices.
Great staff, spacious room. A bit noisy, but it's the city centre so to be expected!
We stayed for 4 nights. The first night was not really pleasant since the room that we had was fronting the main street, very noisy and the smell inside was somewhat awful. Then the next day, we requested for a transfer and we moved in the back side of the building. This time, the room was a lot nicer and bigger, smells clean, far from the noise and somewhat homey. I would say, we got our... more
The staff were very pleasant and willing to help. The room itself is a bit on the small side and doesn't come with much ammenities. Overall, it was alright for the price paid.
Short stay but found a clean room and pleasant atmosphere. 4 minute walk to water taxi to Granville Island. Great location. Friendly staff.
It was a pleasure to stay at your Hotel again.Everything was a plus. The name of your Hotel really says it all.........""Quality"" Hotel Vancouver. After my disappointing stay in Montreal,it was your Hotel that made my Canada visit enjoyable again, just as it did last time I stayed there. It is a short walk to everything,................See you next time, Wally
