“Montreal Downtown Quality Inn

Great location, most points of interest in walking distance. Parking garage a plus if you bring a car. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Beds & bathroom were clean and comfortable. Plumbing was noisy.

If you are looking for a central location at a fair price, this is a great hotel. Be aware that they do have secure garage parking but it is an additional $15 per day. “Awesome customer service

We were so happy to be welcomed into our hotel, literally by the desk person, whom ushered us in via phone(we did not know where we were). Also she checked to make sure our room was going to work. Also was very helpful in suggestions of where to go, how to get there.

Just a short walk from the Place-des-arts metro stop (which is two stops from Berri-UQAM, which is the central place). In fact, it's a short walk from practically anywhere you'd want to go in Montreal. And if it's not, you can hop on a bus or the metro. There may be nicer hotels or better locations, I don't know, but the people here are so friendly and so nice, I wouldn't even want to know.... more

Decent hotel

We stayed here for a weekend in Sept 07. Decent hotel. Close to St. Catherine St., Place de Arts and Metro. Avoid the attached restaurant (not owned by the hotel). Poor service and food was rated fair at best at restaurant. Instead, try great little breakfast/lunch restaurant, "Crepes2Go", just half-block from hotel.

Horible Service!!

Grudgingly, the hotel service, which we have made on our three weeks journey through U.S. and Canada! The lady with the artificially drawn eyebrows on front desk and the manager on duty, Benjamin have certainly never learned and heart from customer service! Far too expensive and costs lose money: no parking, no fridge, no breakfast. So, the total cost far more than four star hotels in Montreal.... more

My expectations were met, this was an inexpensive, clean hotel. It passed my rigorous bed bug check. The room wasn't super huge or anything but it was certainly acceptable. Friendly staff, convenient parking, great location. Comfortable beds.

One of the worst

Front desk staff extremely rude. Lots of suprises, like the charge for overnight parking (yes. there is a sign at the front desk that warns you, but nobody points it out). The shower in our room didn't work, so once we were moved in, we had to move to another room. I asked for the room adjacent to ours which was vacant, and had a "between-the-rooms-door", to maker our movie easier... request... more

Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Even gave me a call to make sure everything was OK after I had entered my room. Room was well-made, with little note cards everywhere alerting you to various aspects of the room and hotel service. Would definitely stay again if I visit Montreal.

“Really excellent hotel!

The staff were incredibly friendly and I would definetly recommend staying here. There is free internet access and I would definetly go back there. I was also there for quite a while and its right in the centre of the city, close to McGill and streets away from the main street.

poor amenities

No business center. No fridge in the room. Very poor amenities for a high price. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The 24 hour restaurant next door was convenient but the food was not very good. Overall stay, disappointed.

I had a terrible experience there. These people promise you one thing but do something else. They simply lie. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
