With the long weekend & tournaments every hotel booked the Quality Hotel took us in after home fire...We will be here for a month or more and let me tell u the staff & cleaners everyone has been awesome can't say enough about this hotel.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
We rented out room 280 for a bridal shower for my daughter and her fiancé. It was perfect for the occasion as it held the 50 people we invited, quite comfortably. I am writing to say, the customer service at the hotel was amazing.
The The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food excellent. and friendly. The food excellent.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Good climate control in rooms. Restaurant was actually very good for a hotel. Included breakfast is good -- scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, fruit etc. Nice pool. Very good value.
Enjoyed our stay Hotel is a very comfortable stay for the travelling public.
Clean room; comfortable bed and pillows. Able to park my car directly in front of my room location. Safe neighbourhood.
Defiantly will have to visit again. One of the reception staff was very nice and she made the experience good for myself and my guest.
the location and the pool! Friendly staff and excellent lifeguard/pool staff
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall enjoyed our stay.
The hotel was fairly clean, particularly the rooms. The staff was also pretty nice and polite. The hotel was easy to find and parking was plentiful.
One night very good.reasonably priced very clean and comfortable
The staff were friendly and efficient throughout the whole property. Our room was okay for size, it was very clean. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot and strong pressure. Wi-Fi worked well. The restaurant was very good. Breakfast was fine with good selection. Lots of parking and it is right off the 401 freeway. You can park your big rig here. Great place.
Just got home from another successful girls weekend. The hotel is under renovations right now, but didn't really interfere with the stay. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. Loved that!
When we first arrived last night, the concierge, Max, was above and beyond. Went out of his way to get what we needed (ice and a bottle opener, how to use the phone, and to get us a cab for getting to our destination).
Breakfast was a buffet, for $10.99. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I was sad that there wasn't a waffle maker, but... I survived.
I've stayed here before and loved it. And I will stay here again. The beds were so soft and amazing!! I wish we had a bit more time to go in the hot tub, maybe next time :)
The hotel was fairly clean, particularly the rooms. The staff was also pretty nice and polite. The hotel was easy to find and parking was plentiful.
The hotel is under renovations as they are enclosing the balconies. Did not bother us as there was no work going on the weekend. good stay, clean and comfortable and helpful staff.
We checked in Saturday night, for one night, after a wonderful evening. As soon as we walked in the ladies at the front desk, Cathy and Caroline, were so welcoming and the most accommodating.
We have worked with the Quality Hotel and Conference Centre on multiple events here in Oshawa and there has been nothing but an exceptional experience every time. All athletes that stayed in the hotel enjoyed their stay in their rooms, plus the banquet services were nothing short of outstanding. Both dinner and breakfast banquets had great food, with no complaints from those in attendance. The staff were also able to accommodate any dietary restrictions, which can sometimes be an issue with large banquets, but they had no issue.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. Good climate control in rooms. Restaurant was actually very good for a hotel. Included breakfast is good -- scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, fruit etc. Nice pool. Very good value.
The hotel is nice, the kids enjoyed the pool, the staff was nice and the rooms were clean.
Big water water stain on ceiling bathroom door mold on it with paint flaking off it pool area paint flaking off all over the place
Clean overall feel. Very friendly restaurant staff. Place getting an overall reno.
It met my expectations and was very nice. Appears upgrades are on the way.
i heard the customer service rep st the front desk tell another unhappy client on morning after disrrupted night.... this happens all the time, fire alarms go off and nothing we can do about it. i have stayed in many hotels and it is not nor should it be a common occurrence.
Lot's to update. The old place needs some investment, especially in the pool area. The restaurant needs attention.
We had a good stay. The only problems that we had were that my daughter who is 12yrs old was not allowed to go in the hot tub with me. The hot tub was only luke warm, not hot enough. We were not able to rent a movie on our TV. Other than that, it was good.
We stayed at this hotel on our way from Michigan to Montreal. Our goal was a convenient hotel just off the highway where we could get a good night sleep. This hotel worked perfectly. No frills, but we were not looking for them.
The room we stayed was a desent size but a little run down. There was mold growing behind the bathroom door. The pool sauna and hot tub were fine but there was paint peeling off the wall. Breakfast was terrible and they charged a high price for soggy home fries and cold eggs. When I did not eat my meal I was asked if everything was OK. I told them my issues. They did not charge me for my... more
I stayed here because I had to be in Oshawa for some personal business. I lived there in the past so never had to stay but was familiar with the property. I now travel frequently for business and found the hotel to be on a par with many of the better business oriented hotels I frequent. A little quiet but the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was quite run down - especially the bathroom which needed to be updated. The sink had cracks and was poorly mended. We were also on the ground floor and luckily checked the sliding door that led into the parking lot as it was unlocked when we arrived!! There was barely any hot water in the morning. Staff was okay.
Staff truly didn't appreciate the fact I booked with Expedia. Gave me room on ground floor stating it was what Expedia requested. room was in back of hotel, back entrance. Dirty, strong smell of smoking although hotel is suppose to be non-smoking. will never book again with Expedia or will never book this property.
It was OK. It is an older hotel. It was busy with travellers many of whom were smokers who did not know how to police their butts. I thought it was a little pricey. The beds were comfortable. We did have a good sleep.
I wouldn't stay here again, hotel in need of MAJOR makeover. Not worth price Beds were gross and lumpy Very stuffy Felt dirty and room smelled of mold
I have stayed recently at the "Quality Inn" in Oshawa. The hotel is dated, the parking lot is crumbling and the customer service at the front desk is the worst I have ever experienced. A violent incident occurred at the hotel with people fighting and extremely loud screaming. Voicing concerns to the front desk resulted in no attention being given... more
Stayed here for two nights for my daughters basketball tournament. Like other reviewers have said it is dated and in need of a really big face lift. The room seemed reasonably clean to me, the beds were to my surprise quite comfortable. The hotel has an indoor pool which my kids used. It seemed clean and they enjoyed themselves. Overall... more
We have gone to the (Holiday Inn-Quality Suites-soon to be the Marriott) for the past five years for Christmas, New years, Mothers day Fathers day and Easter. There are usually 10-12 of us. We indulge in the buffets @ 30 per person. I will say it rather expensive @ $40 per person now. Although the variety is good and the... more
I wasn't able to stay the night and opted to stay at a different hotel due to many issues. First, the agent at the front desk was anything but helpful. She was rude and barely spoke to me. Before I even got to the room I noticed a sign that stated there would be no hot water the following day.... more
We have stayed at this location many times over the years. It used to be a Holiday Inn, but the infrastructure is failing too much for their marque. The rooms are comfortable, but aged. Furnishings and bedding have been maintained and updated, but the bathrooms are small and inefficient.Heating has been upgraded and works well. Restaurant services are excellent and... more
Have stayed here several times for conferences & overnight for a national known service club organization for young adults. Never had a problem with the meals & with my rooms over the years. Staff has always been friendly & effective in dealing with customer service matters. Not major problems noted with my various stays here as well.
This will be the absolute last time my family will stay at this hotel. The pool was closed 3 times the main day of our stay with our kids not able to use it at all. Hugely disappointing. I was told their was no compensation for this and it was due to high volume. They need to figure out a... more
Very Family friendly, with a wonderful pool. Our stay was on 2 week nights so we missed the buffet in the evening, but thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet service. This is the second time we have connected with family and visited Toronto through the day. We will do it again too.
The hotel is not old, but, looks to be in need of a refurbish. They had samples of the refurbishment that is coming, should be nice when it is done.
It's a decent enough hotel. A 'name your own price' site rated it higher than I think it warrants. Yes, it has some nice amenities such as pool and fitness center and on site restaurant, but the room is merely adequate. It fills the need for a place to lay your head. Staff were attentive and helpful. On site restaurant... more
Very welcoming staff and comfortable facility. I enjoyed a great breakfast in the restaurant attached to the hotel.
We were in town for my daughter's hockey tournament. Lots of hockey teams staying at this hotel, so it was quite busy. We picked it because the tournament suggested it and it had a pool. It turns out, the pool was closed because the "water was too cloudy". We had 7 games of hockey to play, so we didn't have... more
We had a one night stay for a nearby concert event. Very easy from check in to check out. Not fancy but very clean with all the amenities and a super friendly helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.
First the hotel is starting to show its age---bathtub could have been cleaner and there were chips out of the bathtub and sink. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are way too soft. This time the elevator required you to swipe your room key to access your floor---great idea for security but then I discovered if you walked up... more
Well I must say that this is the second time we have stayed at this location and I am ready to book again next year. The front desk staff were great the security was great, and the Night manager was great. Rooms were nice and accommodating, even though the ice machines on both level 1 and 2 were not working... more
This room was run down, sink tap and toilet barely worked, the room was so drafty, the heat had to constantly run and we suffered from very dry skin. The staff was wonderful, the hot tub wasn't hot enough, but when asked later it was turned up a couple degrees, a couple more it would have been perfect.
Recently had a very disappointing night at this hotel. I tried to cancel my reservation 5 minutes before the cut off and got the run around whereby they wouldn't let me cancel. The room heat had been turned off so when I got in to my room it was only 8 degrees. It took over an hour for it to warm up. The workout facilities were dated and did not work well. The room itself smelled of stale smoke... more
The building needed major overhaul. The beds were comfortable , but the room and hallways had a smell. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was over priced for what you got. We had breakfast the first morning and couldn't believe the prices. Needless to say we only ate there once. The water in the indoor pool was cold. The location was good for our visiting relatives.
Clean hotel, comfortable bed, but very old sink, ancient toilet seat which will not stop making noise until you lift the lid and fix it after you use it
This is definitely NOT a three star hotel and I'm disappointed it was listed as such by Expedia. The property is run down and not very clean. There were pizza boxes and other garbage littered in the snow out front and empty bear bottles in the snow out back where we parked. The cover on one of our beds had noticeable stains on it the chair was stained and worn. The good part was that the staff... more
this was the worst place we have ever stayed patio handle broken heater so loud could not run it, were told after we check that no food or drinks ,could not sleep because pipes banging could hear everything in room due to no sound proofing , left a message on managers voice mail on 23 dec 2013 and still no... more
the power went out because of storm, which is understandable, however thr staff was overwelmed understaffed and very rude. No discount or any type of compensation was offered, free breakfast a small discount etc... nothing . I will never go back to this or any Quality Inns again, which is a shame because I do travel a lot
We stayed here as a last minute refuge from the ice storm that hit southern Ontario the weekend before Christmas. Our power had, at this point, been out for almost 24 hours and our house was cold an dark. This was an inexpensive escape and we were so happy with our choice.
The check in staff was friendly, attentive and...

Hotel and Room were clean. Staff was polite. Very acceptable stay for price paid.
A little dated. Location being close to the 401 was good. Also close to many amenities. Nice pool and courtyard. Saw several bugs in the hallway though. Overall it was average, though we expected something a little better for the star rating.
True story: Stayed Nov 29th through the 31st 2013
- Called the front desk for towels and the lady who brought them told us is we needed anything else to "go see one of the ladies in the hall with a cart that clean the rooms. They should have most everything we might need."
- Walked by the same pizza box...

My wife and I chose this hotal as it was close to the areas we were visiting. The rate was low for the area and the room was a bit cold as the outside air could come into the room when the heater was on. But it was clean and both the tv and internet worked well. Towels were very... more
The only comment that I would make about the room was that the bathroom was too small. There was very little space to move around comfortably.
If you're on a budget, this is a good place to stay. It's old and the whole hotel could do with some touching up. Friendly staff, very clean room, comfortable beds and good price helped us overlook the small blemishes due to age.
Fitness area substandard. Pool Cool. Air in changing room cool. Bottom of pool unpainted or dirty. Pool was a very good size and whole area has a lot of potential. Breakfast substandard. Food not warm enough. Room was nice and bed comfortable. Parking area good and reception and waitresses were friendly
We stayed here to go to the Dixie Chicks concert on Nov. 8, 2013. I was pleasantly surprised at the lobby, and the room was very clean. Cleo, the manager on duty, even arranged a late check-out for us even though the hotel was very busy with sports tournaments. We were disappointed that it was buffet only on Friday night.... more
Toilet blew up and it them forever to clean up. The hotel is old beds are small. Rooms are really worn and the staff wasn't much help at all. Too expensive for what you get will not stay there again.
Hotel need upgrades. Room was clean for a one night stay. Fan was very noisy. No volume on the TV. Had a meeting there and did not use the pool or other facilities.
Just stayed for one night on the recommendation of a co-worker. Arrived and was was greeted by a very personable Amanda. Check-in was easy and I was pleasantly surprised by the large room size. The bed was very comfortable and I felt at home. They are updating the rooms, but would recommend changing the curved shower bar as it interferes... more
Our arrival was uneventful, but friendly. We ordered a cot for our son which we had forgotten to request and it arrived in our room within 20 minutes. The double beds were comfortable, but small. Needed a room overnight wiht my 12 year old daughter so she could attend a swim competition first thing the next morning; room smelled STRONGLY of bleach, bathroom countertops were sticky; long black hair (neither mine, nor daughters) EVERYWHERE. Check in was efficient. The room was nice. Overall the room was clean and smelled good. The bathroom could have been cleaner and better mantained. There was a nice pool and balconies off of the rooms. For the price ($100) it was a good stay.
It was great to stay here, on our way to Montreal from Windsor. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only complaint is that the temperature in the room was hard to control. The hotel amenities were good. Didn't get to the restaurant.
Overall a bad experience. I arrived and my room was not as reserved - I had reserved 2 doubles and they told me they didn't have one available. Being pregnant and staying with a friend, this was unacceptable. It took a very long time to get it corrected and my check in person was unable to do it, another person had to help. Then it was very noisy due to partiers, and no curfew was enforced.... more
Very clean. Friendly staff. Well priced. Nice pool. Comfy beds, although would like option of renting room with two queen-sized beds instead of double. Small towels, as in most hôtels. No recycling box in our room.
I stayed here for work for just one night at the end of September. Check in was not smooth, we were 5 people and when we checked in the reception said that the rooms had not been paid for although it was being covered by a third party. We had been traveling all day and were pretty tired but were... more
The front office staff was very helpful and friendly.
Stayed four nights, staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool facility was excellent. They included free breakfast evry day and had a nice restaurant, nothing fancy, but ffo was good and staff was pleasant and prompt service wad provided.
Hotel is basic for a 3*, more like a 2 or 2.5*. Bathrooms very dated and shower did not work Very good beds (pillow top but firm) Bed spread was very dirty. Should have been thrown out or washed in boiling water.
Drove a family member to Pearson. Needed a hotel close to the highway for return trip to Ottawa. Room was spacious and very clean. Private balconies were a pleasant surprise. Breakfast the next morning was excellent and the price was great. Would recommend this hotel. Would also be good for sports teams as there is an indoor and outdoor pool to enjoy.
I had stayed here years ago, but have recommended it to many friends in the past. When I stayed here, it was a very clean hotel, but the rooms were rather small. It's average, price-wise, but definitely better than some in the area.
We stayed at this hotel fo 2 nights. The room was very clean when we entered. We had our room cleaned by jean or yeam very friendly when asked if she could replenish the brownies and another robe. My room was clean but nothing really special. Breakfast was good and the service was also good. I did not get a chance to try the pool or the bar but both looked decent. If you get a good price stay here you shouldn't be disappointed.
the Service was cordial, but they really do not show any enthusiasm about your stay. Additionally they apparently find it difficult to orchestrate a group of people for a weekend stay. We booked a night at this motel and would not stay there again. The first room they put us in was terrible. Upon opening the door you were assaulted by a terrible smell. Hotel was clean. Rooms were comfortable. Unfortunately there were issues with the pool.. Hot tub was cloudy and smelt funny. We stay there each time we go to visit family in the "Shwa" My kiddies love the pool. There's a decent sauna & hot tub as well as a 2nd outdoor pool -season permitting. The restaurant serves a fair breaky we eat each time. we go out for dinner though. staff is good & rooms are pretty decent. Good place--
