Husband and I stayed here for 4 nights while doing some skiing at whitewater. Beds are very comfortable and hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel restaraunt was a nice place to catch a hardy breakfast and in the evenings the pub was a great spot to unwind in with a local brewed beer and some appetizers. There is... more
Very comfortable rooms, pool, hot tub, excellent staff, quiet, coffee shop. Ask for a "Lakeside room" which has terrific views. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Close - but not close walking distance - to Nelson shops and restaurants. Coffee shop is very good, but Nelson has great restaurants, so eat meals in town.
Hotel has beautiful waterfront location. In Summer the ground level waterfront rooms with patios out to the lush lawns are wonderful. In winter prices seemed expensive, but water view was still attractive. Hotel is spotless throughout, has elevator and very pleasant and efficient, pleasant staff. Hayley at Reception upon finding out we were interested in the town's Victorian Architecture... more
The day we were suppose to leave our travel plans were delayed due to flight from Castlegar being cancelled, however, the front desk gentleman was very helpful in sorting out arrangements for us, made our stay all that much better. Rooms are really nice at this hotel.
We enjoyed our stay here. The room was great with a balcony overlooking the lake. The staff were efficient and friendly and the bar out on the patio next to the lake had a nice atmosphere. The restaurant wasn't too bad either.
While travelling with a cycling group I have had a number of occasions to stay at this property and have always left with a promise to return! This is a lakeside resort and nothing beats sitting on the deck and watching the lake activities and stunning views. The rooms offer top of the line decor, comfy beds and bedding, beautiful... more
Love this place! We like to stay in 'The Hamptons' suite!! It's like our own cottage on the lake! Have also stayed in 'The Tuscany' suite........beautiful! There are also other theme rooms.......comfy and cozy!! Great food, too! Walk anywhere!
Our one-day convention event went superbly and all who stayed appreciated the excellent service and friendly staff. Nice comfortable quiet rooms with very good wifi for the business traveller. The restaurant proved to be an unexpected gem.
I was hesitant after having a bad experiance with the Kelowna Prestige just two days prior but the staff and resort conditions restorted my faith. The front desk was warm and friendly offering assistance. When they did not have the room available that we book they up graded us with no hassle. All around this was a good experiance with... more
I was a part of a group that stayed at the Prestige Lakeside on September 9th. When I arrived, the rooms had all been allocated as per my room list, and they even took the time to write the names on each key (in many other locations, I write each guest name on the room key envelope).

This hotel is beautifully situated on Kootenay Lake. It is within walking distance to the downtown core and if you are on lakeside there are stunning views of the lake and mountains. There are loungers outside your door to sit on while enjoying your favourite beverage and watch the comings and goings at the marina. Those are all the good... more
I went to Nelson for work, I appreciate to be in a room where I can relax, in more at Prestige Lakeside Resort you have a wonderful view on the lake, the marina and the montains... spacially in the morning with ducks and bustards. We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed the spacious room with outdoor loungers and view of the marina. The walk path in front of the hotel leads you to the bridge where the local beach is located. Loved the first floor rooms with outdoor loungers. Peaceful and beautiful view. Good room size. Exceptionally clean. Would definitely stay again. Walking distance to Baker Street for shopping and restaurants.
Spent a juce weekend in Nelson for the Queens City Car Show and we stayed at the Prestige Inn. We went for dinner and drinks on Saturday night at Rics Lounge at the hotel and our bartender, Lindsay, gave us exceptional service and made out weekend :) Thanks so much, can't wait to come back to Nelson!
The hotel includes a $15 breakfast coupon. Full hotel. 2 servers for a busy breakfast . Guess what happens? Wait 30 minutes or coffee. Badly cooked scrambled eggs. Etc.
Nice rooms. Spacious . Great view of the lake.
We went there for the view, it is very nice. That is where the good experience ends. We paid the upgrade and the room was just ok, what was more disappointing were the services. We walked downtown and had a great meal, hoping to return to the hotel for a nightcap. Were we ever surprised when the lounge staff told us we missed last call, at 10 PM (on a Friday evening). Anyway, we went to our... more
I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is great and right on the waterfront. Having the streetcar out in front is cool too. Would recommend if you don't mind dropping the money for a resort.
Easily walkable from downtown Nelson too
Loved Loved Loved this place! Rooms were spectacular, very clean, fresh bright and new. We had a lakeside room on the 1st floor, so we were able to sit outside on a beautiful sunny summer day with a cocktail, meet the neighbors, and watch the boats come in and out of the marina while the planes took off and landed!... more
We had a room on the third floor facing the lake with a great view of the lake. We sat and drank coffee in the morning and watched the geese float and eat. You can't swim in this part of the lake. Marina out front if you have a boat. Nice boardwalk path that goes all the way down to... more
We have stayed at the Prestige in Nelson a number of times and enjoyed it each time. I grew up in Nelson, B.C. and I do like the location of the Prestige, but the rates for rooms are really outrageous. You get a room, that is all. No coffee or continential breakfast in the morning, so you are out of luck if you leave early as the coffee shop and restaurant is not open. The room was... more

The lakefront balcony room is absolutely lovely and offered a spectacular view. The room was modern, luxurious and very clean. Good hotel next to the lake. Rooms were big and clean. Great beds. Staff were efficient and friendly. Nice coffee at the shop in the entrance area. Pricy but BC seems to be pricy. Just need to get use to it.
We stayed in a gorgeous room at this hotel; mid week for one night in February. This room had a lovely jet tub, very nice view of the harbour, great restaurant and very friendly staff. The only complaint I would have is how loud it was a night (after midnight). There were drunk people coming and going and laughing throughout... more
This hotel definitely reflects the name Prestige. It was the most comfortable hotel we've ever stayed in and we travel a lot. The room was large, had enough furniture, pillow soft bed, balcony with an outstanding view of the marina and the lake. Quiet. The room was very quiet even though the hotel was fully booked. I would recommend this... more
My husband and I had a 3 night stay in July, upgraded to a king lakeview.. Rooms are just perfect, very spacious, comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. The view from our terrace was to die for. For sure one of the best hotels in town. I wouldnt contemplate staying anywhere else..

My wife and I stayed here for four days in July. Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Wonderful views of the lake and marina.
All the staff, including those in the restaurant were helpful and easy to talk with.
The location on the lake is perfect. Get a lake front room.
What a wonderful stay. Friendly staff. Spacious, clean room. Well appointed and stylish. Recommend the rooms with a balcony overlooking the lake and marina, perfect for a room service breakfast.
Walking distance to beach and Nelson's funky downtown.
Ric's Lounge and Grill onsite serves great meals with a barbeque/buffet on the weekends.
We'll be back.
I spent nearly a month at this hotel on and off for buisness and enjoyed every second of it. The front counter staff are especially amazing as they truly do everything they can to make my stay special.
Spent three nights in June of 2013 at The Prestige Lakeside hotel in Nelson. Reservations made over the phone were easily done by very friendly staff, requests were made by three other couples we traveled with to have early check-in times due to a wedding we were attending. All of them were able to check in to their rooms earlier... more
This hotel is really lovely. The views are breathtaking and the restaurant patio was also quite nice. Pool area was perfect for children. Lots of mountain attractions and cold beaches in the area. The marina is a pretty backdrop to the restaurant as well. I'm sure this place would be beautiful in the winter as well.
We stayed in a suite (ocean themed) in room 219. Very nice for a couple but the tub was in the living room; so I couldn't have a bath in front of my 11 year old son--but he enjoyed one! Ric's Grill (restaurant on site) was really good. My husband and I both banged our heads on mounted lanterns on... more
My fiance and I are getting married in Nelson BC this September and having our reception at this hotel! We have stayed there quite a few times in many different rooms and have been more than impressed each time! Staff is friendly, rooms very nice and very clean! The beds are extremely cozy too! We would highly recommend this hotel!... more
Spent 1 night in a family room on may 25. The check in was fairly quick. The evening staff was very helpful and kind. The room was very nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. We ordered room service and it was delicious! The workout facility is awesome!
I always choose the prestige lakeside when I'm in Nelson for work. The restaurant is like any Ric's in BC; however the service is a tad slow and prices on the expensive side. There are better restaurants in Nelson but if you are exhausted and just need a decent meal without going out, Ric's will do the trick! Rooms are... more

Nothing like sitting on your balcony enjoying the great views of kjootenay lake and the mountains . The only thing better than the view is the great staff ! Rooms are large with very comfortable beds and its a easy walk to great resteraunts and down town Nelson .
Beautiful location right at the lake. Quiet area. Additional price for lakeside rooms. Very clean rooms, excellent service.
Walking distance to historic Baker Street.
Big pool and hot tub is great for kids. Very clean area too.
We would go there anytime again.
Typical mainstream large hotel, rooms had been fixed up and were ok. Great view of the lake, friendly staff, indoor pool and hot tub. Walking distance to downtown Nelson. Elevators to get to 2nd floor not very practical so staying on the first floor can be easier. There is no charm to this hotel, it just a nice mainstream hotel... more
Nelson is a great city to visit.
Some of the nicest people in Canada and what an amazing setting. The hotel has been around for a while yet it is constantly updated. The meals are very good and the staff do whatever it takes to make your stay pleasant.

My two sons and I just spent 4 nights at the Prestige Lakeside Resort and the only thing better was the great powder and terrain at Whitewater. Right from the start the resort's staff were great. I was late to arrive and the front desk got me a great room on the 3rd floor. The bed was so comfortable I almost slept in and the room was by far the nicest in Nelson, not sure where a close 2nd would be? The staff really make the difference here and they are genuine and friendly, I would... more
We arrived late in the evening after a long day of travel. There was a car shoe in town and rooms were in short supply. The resort was in a really nice fairly quiet spot on the lake. They had a room (note I say Room) they called it a suite. For what we got I thought it was over... more
Got a family room - 2 queens and queen sofabed over Family Day weekend. One of the few nice hotels in Nelson, BC. Very friendly staff. Beautiful location down by and looking out to the lake. Nice little coffee shop in the lobby. Ric's Lounge and Grill in the hotel.

good value for the money and a good location
The hotel location is ok on the waterfront however not spectacular. You have the marina full of boats if that is appealing to you.
