That truck stop food could be so good!
Went here in the summer and had some of the best damn soup I've had in a long time. Our server was pretty great as well.
Will be back soon!
Every meal is wonderful, home make always good and the best home made pie in town!
Amazing for breakfast! Amazing for lunch. Not a well known place, a little out of the way, but really great. Very reasonably priced.
Good food, friendly staff..
Worth the stop on your way thru Moose Jaw
It was closer to the dinner hour than the midday rush when we finally stopped for lunch at Prairie Oasis. We weren't sure what we were getting into there, but we were pleased with our meals. We were told that most everything on the menu was made on the premises. The food was good, seasoned well, and portions were generous.... more
My husband and I came in here on 3/30/14. We both ordered the Caesar salad and we shared the BCCG which equates to a Bacon Cheese Chicken breast Grilled sandwich on a small kaiser roll. It was really good, but really small. The service was awesome....We really enjoyed the male server who raved about Hollywood Ca. He was sooo sweet.... more
The food is always good at Prairie Oasis. It is never excellent, never outstanding, but ALWAYS good. The service is standard, nothing that stands out, but prompt and generally attentive. The price is decent, never breaks the bank. Look past the fact that it is a truck stop, because the food is worth it.
For a restaurant that is attached to a truck stop, I was pleasantly surprised. The place is clean, the food good, staff friendly and there were at least 40 - 50 people in there. This is definitely NOT the "greasy spoon" that I was expecting.
I had the stew. It was homemade, but bland no spices what so ever. 4 small pieces of beef and was a soup not stew. Not thick no gravy just soup stock. I paid 10.50 for a bowl of soup. The homemade biscuits were good. Other members in my party had shepherd's pie, not good. The other had sweet n... more
I used to love going for breakfast and getting the breakfast special with the shredded hash browns but then they changed them to a different brand that tasted like chemicals, almost like lighter fluid had been poured on them. They were so bad I had to send them back and have never ordered them since. The staff is friendly though.
Wonderful place to eat with the kiddos. Staff was very nice (even though she charged us the wrong amount...which happened twice!) and the food was good. Standard breakfast place and always cooked fast!
Stopped for breakfast. Eggs and bacon cooked perfectly but hash browns were disappointing (shredded potatoes from freezer, just reheated, not at all browned). Server friendly and capable.
The food and the service were very good, but I found it a bit noisy and somewhat disorganized. They had great cinnamon buns, but I understand that they no longer have that baker there
Food was good, came in ok time. Waitresses seemed busier than they could handle (and restaruant not full) they did their job but nothing more, attitude tepid.
Met some friends here for lunch one day. I ordered a Rueben and borsht. The food was good, highly enjoyed the borsht. I thought UT was pricey, almost $11 for a small cup of soup and a thin sandwich.
It was just "ok"
I had a basket of chicken fingers and a milkshake, and I thoroughly enjoyed both.
This is my breakfast spot. $6.50 tax in for the full meal deal. Lunch is also good. You can tell by the # of big rigs in the lot. Morning service is above reproach.
had lovely food for all four of us.....but found it a bit pricey compared to other restuarants in area
There were five people working the front. In spite of this noone brought a menu, made eye contact or extended any hospitality. After realizing we had been there a while I put on a stopwatch. We waited TEN minutes more after this point with no one coming over. I asked a staff member for supervisors name and we left. The... more
