Have been for a quick drop in, a full lunch with friends and even dinner and music night. Always geed food and great entertainment Saturday nights.
Stopped here on a Saturday afternoon with friends for coffee. The atmosphere is very comfortable . The service was very good, and coffee and food were very good as well. Good selection of pastries and baked goods/pies. As we were there, the staff was setting up for a music concert which they have on Saturday nights. Great place to catch... more
This was a general store at one time now turned tea/ coffee house . Love this place but then I was in there in the store days. Nice place to have a break .
The place had a bit of old world charm and history. Our server was excellent . The jazz / Dixie band that played on Friday night was superb. The pasta dinner (served on Friday nights) was so, so.
Great little historic coffee place. Amazing coffee, the food was great.Everything we tried was homemade style even the bread!!
Always great service and good entertainment on weekends. Unfortunately on Friday pasta nite the pasta is far too salty. The flavours are there but overshadowed by salt. Alerted the chef and hopefully will be rectified.
We ordered three pies for our Thanksgiving Dinner: apple, pumpkin and a strawberry+rhubarb. These large deep dish pies were fantastic, rich, and the apple was one of the best I have had. I thought all coffee shops served the same fare but having had an unexpected wait at Porter's I decided to have lunch. The quiche was excellent and the salad was exceptionaly good with a surprising tangy spicy dressing. A bit pricey, but very good food.
Went for breakfast while waiting on bus. ! Quaint place ! Opened at 7am we arrived. 7.15am and was nearly full ! Friendly staff ! Excellent food. ! Decor so quirky. ! Can't wait to go back when I return from kelowna. ! I hav never rated a cafe so highly in Canada or Scotland x
I have driven past Porter's many times working for the Township of Langley and finally got a chance to stop in and see what this place was about. The building is an old heritage general store (110 years old) that belonged to the Porter family of Murrayville and they have turned it into a coffee shop.
It's a pleasant little shop that has a lot of the old 1900's style artifacts still in it such...

Have you ever been to a wired monk? Well that's pretty much what this place is, plus some home made soups and antiques.
I was going in hoping, as the tea lover in me hopes, that there would be ample amounts of tea for sale as this place did also call themselves a tea house. There were maybe 6 or 7 types of teas, three of them were black (and all were very common teas). My Fiancee got an iced...

a quaint little hole wall, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, with a great selection of fair trade teas and coffee and homemade goodies. we stopped in on our way back from a mini wine tour and had a pot of creamy earl grey tea and delicious homemade vegetable soup.
the staff is very friendly and atmosphere is old-timey, with antique this-an-that strewn around. it's obvious the shop used to be...
