We booked this particular location because of the pool and were not disappointed. It's pretty nice and our little girl loved it. The room we stayed in was on the 3rd floor of the main building. It was very clean and spacious with large windows. It seems like they had a reno not long ago. It was well worth the... more
We stayed here one night when we were making our way back home after driving across BC. I reserved before we left home 'just in case' as it was a fairly busy week with various national holidays.
We arrived around 4ish and checked in. We were placed in the older motel looking building out back. Meh..didn't look like much but...

4 star ? What a joke avoid at all costs. small town attitude with old school ammenities, there are much better places to stay where they care about service and cleanliness. the cumfort inn just up the hill is a better choice. quite expensive for a beat up old hotel
No pool towels, no plush bathrobes, room was quite dirty. Dust everywhere and several large hairs in the bathtub. Above the tile in the bathroom the wall was mush, it needed work as it will soon be moldy. The bathroom was succumbing to the moisture due to no fan. If there was a fan it was not working.
Low end...

Great pool. Beautiful scenery. Comfy rooms well equipped. Had a wonderful stay. Great Sunday buffet for breakfast. Kids really enjoyed themselves by the poolside rooms. It's great. And easy access to the rooms from the car. So no packing bags down a long hallway. It's perfect.
We had done an annual trip to Salmon Arm between 2006-2011 with the family. We had always enjoyed staying at the Podollan because it was so family friendly and the pool was great. Unfortunately in 2011 (our last year to stay at the hotel as a family), they had changed their amenities and the breakfast option was no longer in... more
Large, clean, quiet room which was perfect for a family of four. Reserved room while on the road a few hours before. No problems checking in. Restaurant was pretty decent. Enjoyed the crab tortellini. 'Hand of God Stout' was an excellent beer. Our waitress was more than accommodating. We were getting on the road before breakfast started the next day... more
We stayed here just two weeks ago for two nights. My husband myself and our dog. (We don't go anywhere without our dog) This was our first stop on our BC circle tour. Calgary to Vancouver on Highway 1 and back on Highway 3 stopping along the way with a maximum 5 hour drive between stops. It did take 6... more
The pool area is very nice but for some reason they never have pool towels available so you have to sit on scorching hot plastic deck chairs with no buffer between the plastic and your skin.
They charge $1.25 for each extra Keurig cup for the coffee maker, ridiculous.
The rooms are fine, quite spacious but very typical. I wish...

We booked online for our 2 day stay into the two level units behind the main building. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a lovely twin king room with a patio. I didn't ask why, but were so happy about it. The room was spotless. The decor was superb. The spacious room was a pleasure in which to stay.... more
Pretty typical older hotel. The pool is big and the kids loved how you can access it directly from some rooms. The room we stayed was run down and really showing it's age. We found the cost to be quite high for value. It was in peak season though. Seems to be an extra cost for everything( dog, late checkout, rollaway bed).
We stayed here one night as we passed through. We would not stay again.
We stopped here to break up a longer trip, but we'll make this a destination from now on. The staff was nice, the room excellent, and the dinner and breakfast (included, which is rare in Canada) were wonderful. The pools were well kept-up and the scenery on-site was lovely.
BEWARE! YOUR RESERVATION MAY NOT BE AN ACTUAL RESERVATION -- We actually never had a chance to stay at this hotel because when we tried to book, we were asked for our phone number to call us back because there was a 'lineup' and then when my call was finally returned, I wasn't available to take the call. When I... more
very clean, comfortable and easy access property. right on the 101 trans continental hwy.this was one of the best experiences i have staying in a hotel. very friendly staff, awesome breakfast. will definitely stay there and would recommend to my family and friends.
I stayed here for a couple days on business. The hotel rooms were big & had a fridge which was very helpful. The pool's huge & and awesome so I’ll be coming back with my family for sure. The food in table 24 was excellent and I’ll be going back the next time I go through Salmon Arm. Great place... more
Very nice rooms, exceptional front desk staff, outstanding outdoor pool! My only negative is the overrated and overpriced food in the restaurant. Carrot ginger soup was like hot orange maple syrup, the rosemary ranch dressing was too strong-leaving a bitter taste, the steak was over cooked. I would recommend this hotel, and will return for another stay on my next... more
I had the pleasure of staying overnight at the Podollan Inn on Jun 23, 2014. I wish I'd had more time to spend there. It is a lovely oasis! The room was comfortable and spacious and had all of the amenities I desired! The pool is amazing and there are walking trails a step out the front door. I also... more
On arrival we were met by a very helpful and courteous receptionist. Our English Bulldog fell in love with the expansive grounds, and I appreciated the Doggie Stations and supplies - very pet friendly facility. Restaurant had experienced computer problems but still found a way to provide us a great room service meal. Will stay here again in future!
Right on left side as you enter salmon arm heading west. Hidden Gem for sure. we were upgraded to a 'motel' room which worried us. but this is the place to be. main floor pool level. the most amazing warm pool. huge and every room opens on to a private landscaped patio with a gate to the pool and pool... more
The Podollan in Staff we very nice and accommodated my extra requests without hesitation. The rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We stayed in a room that had a little patio off the back that had direct pool access, what a treat. If you are looking for a place to stay in Salmon Arm I highly... more
We were there for the salty dog big race in may. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area was fantastic, it felt like a Resort holiday. The rates seemed fairly reasonable and they provided a bike wash for the riders to use.
Thanks for a great weekend. Travelled with my mom and niece for a family gathering. Room was a good size and easily accomodated the cot for my niece. It was great to have the sitting area and the big chair as we were able to all be comfortable. The staff at the front desk were friendly and assisted us when... more
We needed a pet friendly room so we got stuck in the heritage building in the back, it's a Old Motel. The floors are tile no carpet - understandable considering its pet friendly. However the floor was so dirty that my new white socks were black in no time. The shower had others peoples hair in it, very dirty/Mould. We... more
Had to stay in salmon arm last month for one night while visiting my daughter. Got into town around 4, tired and suffering from a migraine I tried to nap in the first from they assigned me in the "motel" out back. Due to some noise from the baseboard heater no nap was happening. When I phoned the front desk... more
The rooms in the newer building are nice and very large. The hotel promises a breakfast included in your room but most days it was not there or too late and I had to leave.
When it did show up on time it was very lame coffee and muffin.
The front desk seems very disorganized and unprofessional.

We didn't have to go far to find a special, romantic getaway, right in our hometown! We stayed in the Tuscany room, and enjoyed the evening immensely. A cozy fireplace in the corner, couches for lounging, a huge, comfy king-sized bed with WAY too many pillows:) The jacuzzi tub in the room topped it off. Dinner at Table 24 was... more
this is my 2nd time stayin at the podollan and will definitely return again friendly staff, clean rooms , close to town attractions and comfy beds. The staff go out of there way to accomodate you and the restaurant is handy A+++++
Ive stayed at this hotel twice, once in the summer and once in the winter. Both times I stayed in the motel style building in the back

I don't usually gush over a hotel but this is a real find in the scarce pickings of the Salmon Arm area. The room is a good size and well equipped, as is the bathroom, and overall I was... more
Was booked in by company-account so accepted it but... if my choice, would look around. Room access is up some stairs - and definitely not soundproof rooms. i stayed 2 nights here, what a great hotel pleasant staff, comfy beds, awesome breaky very clean would definitely stay here again on my way back and letting family and friends know where to stay A+++++
We booked online as suggested by the group rate email we received, we then inquired about the group rate were were supposed to get but no one was able to help us with it at the front desk. We were asked to inquire in the morning with a different night manager when they arrived. Off we went to a Family... more
We stayed overnight on the 3rd floor in a newly-renovated tastefully decorated 1 bedroom. Beautiful walls and furnishings. The bed was very comfortable; best dream sleep in a long time. Will return in the future.
I stayed at the Podollan for one night on business. Upon check-in, I was given a ground floor room in the "motel" unit behind the building. As soon as I opened the door to my room I was disappointed. The decor and finishings were dated, the tile floor was uninviting and dirty. I requested a different room, as I don't... more
I was disappointed with my room at this property. I generally stay at Best Westerns when traveling through smaller towns but thought I would give this property a try. Mostly because the Salmon Arm Best Western only accepts reservations for 2 nights or longer in the summer and even though this was not a issue for this time of year... more
I enjoyed a short stay at the Podollan Inn, clean - well appointed - gorgeous grounds and the service in the lounge was wonderful. The check in was quick, even though the hotel was full the night before. The meeting room was also very well appointed for our meeting during the day.
Given the mixed previous reviews, we weren't sure what to expect but had followed the advice to ask for a room away from the road and in the main building. This turned out to be a smart and very comfortable en suite room with two queen beds. It was very well provided with storage, lamps, though the overall lighting could... more
Having 3 kids (7, 11, 12) we booked this final summer long weekend get-a-way 2 days before the weekend and solely on the pictures of the pool on tripadvisor.com. When I booked this hotel I was not sure what to expect as some people rated it highly and others were disappointed. We spent one night there and was surprised for the amount we paid, how sparse the room was. The television was tiny and the room wasn't fitted out very well, lots of space and outdated décor. Surprisingly the pool out back was quite inviting and actually probably better than the hotel itself.
We came into Salmon Arm close to 6 pm and found many places were booked up. We stopped at the Podollan and they had some rooms. Higher price than we liked, but it was hot, we were tired and the place had a very nice pool. Rooms were very clean, nice and cool and comfortable. Check in was a little... more
My husband and I spent one night here with our two dogs. The only room left was a king size with patio and pool access. This room cost us well over $200 and I wasn't definitely not impressed for the price. We got here very early in the morning and the lady at the front desk did a very good... more
We stayed here for one night and were quite disappointed about this hotel. Our room had quite a bad smell and under the bed-cover we found hairs of human and dog! We finally put the cover aside and slept in our sleeping-bags. We reported this the next day at the desk and we received a 15$ discount. That was not... more
We stayed for one night on Sunday August 19th. We visited family in the area. Maybe it was because of the roots and blues festival but the room was $209 and it was a queen executive kitchenette which we never used. I booked the room online and that was the only room available. It was tough to see that the... more
Our stay started with having to pay twice because we wanted to pay by cash instead of credit card. They required that we pay a $600 security deposit which would be returned three days after our stay! We proceeded to the room only to find make up and candies on the carpet. Luckily my husband and I found the candies... more
We just spent the weekend at Podollan Inn and it was worth every penny. The pool is incredible, the staff are amazing and the location is fantastic. We had breakfast at the restaurant attached both mornings and our only "negative" is that they were understaffed on Sunday, making for slow service. But the food is incredible. I highly recommend this... more
The Podollan Inn is overwhelmed by pioneer spirit. What does that mean? It means good people, daring design and bone chillingly comfortable rooms. Are you in Mexico? Salmon Arm? Who knows. What I know is, you need to experience the Podollan dream.

This place is amazing. First of all, the service is freaking incredible. Second, the amenities are unreal. This place has a pool worthy of a 5 star Cancun resort. We saw on TripAdvisor that this place had 4.5 stars so we went here but what a disappointment! The floor had large raisins and pills on it and it was dusty along the baseboards. We stayed here 2 nights as we were passing through on our family vacation. We came for the pool, but arrived late the first night and it was pretty cold so we sat mostly in the hot tub. The rooms are very nice, clean, nice decor. Pool is great too. The restaurant in the hotel..is a little pricey for what you get..and the service is very slow. But there are lots of other options in Salmon Arm..you don't have to eat there. Staff was very helpful with drying clothes that were soaked from a motorcycle ride. thankyou.. :)
The pool is very family friendly and beautiful.
