4 star ? What a joke avoid at all costs. small town attitude with old school ammenities, there are much better places to stay where they care about service and cleanliness. the cumfort inn just up the hill is a better choice. quite expensive for a beat up old hotel

Never Again

No pool towels, no plush bathrobes, room was quite dirty. Dust everywhere and several large hairs in the bathtub. Above the tile in the bathroom the wall was mush, it needed work as it will soon be moldy. The bathroom was succumbing to the moisture due to no fan. If there was a fan it was not working.

Great pool. Beautiful scenery. Comfy rooms well equipped. Had a wonderful stay. Great Sunday buffet for breakfast. Kids really enjoyed themselves by the poolside rooms. It's great. And easy access to the rooms from the car. So no packing bags down a long hallway. It's perfect.

The pool area is very nice but for some reason they never have pool towels available so you have to sit on scorching hot plastic deck chairs with no buffer between the plastic and your skin.
They charge $1.25 for each extra Keurig cup for the coffee maker, ridiculous.

We booked online for our 2 day stay into the two level units behind the main building. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a lovely twin king room with a patio. Pretty typical older hotel. The pool is big and the kids loved how you can access it directly from some rooms. The room we stayed was run down and really showing it's age. We found the cost to be quite high for value. It was in peak season though. Seems to be an extra cost for everything( dog, late checkout, rollaway bed).

What a find

We stopped here to break up a longer trip, but we'll make this a destination from now on. The staff was nice, the room excellent, and the dinner and breakfast (included, which is rare in Canada) were wonderful. The pools were well kept-up and the scenery on-site was lovely.

Very nice rooms, exceptional front desk staff, outstanding outdoor pool! My only negative is the overrated and overpriced food in the restaurant. Pet Friendly - wonderful landscaping

On arrival we were met by a very helpful and courteous receptionist. Our English Bulldog fell in love with the expansive grounds, and I appreciated the Doggie Stations and supplies - very pet friendly facility. Restaurant had experienced computer problems but still found a way to provide us a great room service meal. Will stay here again in future!

good, clean, convenient location

We were there for the salty dog big race in may. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area was fantastic, it felt like a Resort holiday. The rates seemed fairly reasonable and they provided a bike wash for the riders to use.

The rooms in the newer building are nice and very large. The hotel promises a breakfast included in your room but most days it was not there or too late and I had to leave.

beautiful grounds - clean and lovely hotel

I enjoyed a short stay at the Podollan Inn, clean - well appointed - gorgeous grounds and the service in the lounge was wonderful. The check in was quick, even though the hotel was full the night before. The meeting room was also very well appointed for our meeting during the day.

Small tv, big price

We spent one night there and was surprised for the amount we paid, how sparse the room was. The television was tiny and the room wasn't fitted out very well, lots of space and outdated décor. Surprisingly the pool out back was quite inviting and actually probably better than the hotel itself.

We saw on TripAdvisor that this place had 4.5 stars so we went here but what a disappointment! The floor had large raisins and pills on it and it was dusty along the baseboards. The rooms are very nice, clean, nice decor. Pool is great too. The restaurant in the hotel..is a little pricey for what you get..and the service is very slow. But there are lots of other options in Salmon Arm..you don't have to eat there. Staff was very helpful with drying clothes that were soaked from a motorcycle ride. thankyou.. :)
