Was a good place to meet family as we were coming from different directions. I enjoy the pickle barrel menu as it is very diverse for different ages and tastes. If you want to eat light you can. If you want a great burger it's here. Or any great dinner options. Also a really detailed children's menu. There was something... more
I went there with some friends and I honestly love the downtown Toronto pickle barrel, but this Mississauga location can learn a thing or two from their other franchise restaurants.
It was one waiter in particular, so I can't speak for the entire restaurant. But he looked like his wife was about to go into labour both times we were...

I went to the restaurant not that busy around 8 on a weekday. Me and my girlfriend ordered burgers one of the cheaper items on the menu since we haven't ever gone here.I ordered a southwest turkey burger and she ordered the pretzel steak burger. Both of our burgers came in at a timely fashion, the problem was my burger... more
Overall, OUR server was nice and friendly. She was an older lady which could tie into what I'm about to say next. After eating half our meals we waited for her to come by to hand us our bill n takeout containers. Before we even got attended to, she would walk by at least 4 times seemly to forget we... more
I have been to this location multiple times, never been a fan of the server staff however the food has been good.
I took my kids for breakfast and I was 4 min early, as the location opens at 9 am, the server was smoking outside and informed me to come back in ten minutes, add to that he was...

lobster and cheddar cheese sandwich. I've never been offered this sandwich anywhere else and can't understand this as it is so outstanding and unusual.
We like to have the occasional lunch at the Pickle Barrel in the Town Centre. They have some calorie-conscious choices that we enjoy, including Rose Reisman approved items. Service is generally good.
so-so service, not very welcoming,. even though it was a slow time. mid afternoon.
Food was overpriced and tasteless.
Loud atmosphere. and uncomfortable seating in booths.
It is a nice place to go before we head off to the theatre. The service is good and the food is superb. A nice selection of food to choose from. Breakfast is always a treat.
Love ending a shopping spree at Sherway Gardens, at Pickle Barrel. Yummy food; some great low cal options; reasonable price. Usually eat in the bar area; Amanda, the bar-tender is always pleasant and helpful.
was supposed to try the corn beef sandwich, but had the beef brisket instead, which was ok but on the dry side
but other food items carried past by servers looked fabulous... have to come back to try them...

Had lunch today at the Pickle Barrel at the Erin Mills Town Centre. I've been going to Pickle Barrels all over the GTA since it began back in the 1970s. Have never been to this location before and was really disappointed in both the food and the service.
I ordered an old favourite - turkey/avocado club sandwich. I could have...

Nice atmosphere when not too busy. The fish and chips are good. I usually have the smoked salmon on rye sandwich plate and it is quite nice. Another place of good value but average food.
Having grown up as a child a huge fan of the famous "Deli Sandwhiches" at the Pickle Barrel.... after a long day and conveniently being right by the Erin Mills location decided to rekindle the old favourite. Big. Mistake. With a menu the size of a short novel, I ordered my old preference. With a nacho appetizer that was delivered... more
my parent took me for my birthday and it wasnt good at all. We have been going to Leslie St. PB forever and love it. By comparison Erin Mills sucked. bad service, bad food.not enjoyable
Best Montral Smoked Meat sandwiches around. You can tell how well a restaurant is by how busy they are and this place is always full.
My wife and I have been going to the restaurants in this chain for over 25 years. The food used to be great, and a good deal for the price. Recent menu changes mean that the place is now an average family eatery, nothing special.
In the past we have had a good experience. This time is was off and we are disappointed to say the least.
We sat in the lower section (3 adults + 2 teens) and the restaurant was not busy. We waited and waited for our order to be taken. The French Onion soups (2) were not piping hot as usual,...

I went here with family and young children. Not only did the food take a long time to come out, but the order was completely wrong. Each course took an excessive amount of time to come out. With children hungry, it was not a good experience. Plus, one dish had meat in it, when we had ordered it vegetarian.
Were do I start? Although the food is generally okay (just okay), the poor service and outdated concept does not meet my expectations. Happy to spend my money elsewhere.
Great place for a quick and easy business lunch. It is often very busy and sometimes loud which is why it does not get a 5 star. Great selection, informative staff and exceptional quality.
I have been going to the Pickle Barrel for many years in Thornhill and when I went to the one at Sherway and Yorkdale the food was almost inedible and the service was very lacklustre.
It has many menu options and average to excellent food. Decor is cozy and somewhat modern. Decent service but nothing special. Overall great restaurant but some improvement on service is needed.
It was amazing! I love Pickle Barrel! I have gone here for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and have loved every meal I have purchased
in erin mills location there was a very bad smell in the seating area , like it was wet for ages , though i visited another location in Thornhill and it was very nice and clean but the crancky waiters were not welcoming at all but at least the resturant was clean and the food was good
Private booth with high back, good service, good food, good selection, willing to make menu changes, clean.
horrible customer service, speed and cleanliness of the restaurant. The staff is really rude and bring the incorrect orders
I have been here a few times, and the food was average to below average. Now I only go if someone is having a party there, and I am obliged to go. I would never go to this restaurant if given the choice.
They have way too many food selections on their menu, and maybe that is why the food...

The food choices here are innumerable so there's something for everyone.
My only dislike was the fact that I was having lunch with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time and the waitress, very obviously, was keen for us to leave - not sure why since the restaurant was not that busy.
Good value for a mall restaurant. Carpet could be cleaner. Great gluten free menu.
Waitress was very good. Great service. Good food. will go there again and again as the food choice is very good which is backed by service.
Went with five friends. We each ordered something different and there was not one meal that was acceptable. Very overpriced for a smoked meat sandwich - the smoked meat came out of a vac pack and was not anything like the real thing. Rye bread dry. French fries - frozen and tasted like they were baked, not fried. Oh... and... more
The Thursday Morning Breakfast Club met here this morning. We were the first to arrive as they opened the restaurant and were promptly seated and offered coffee. The waitress was quite distant and brusque but the service was quick and we had all ordered something different. One woman had a hair on her plate and the meal was replaced, but... more
Service was pretty terrible - none of the members of my party got refills. The food was kinda meh and I could tell that the fries were simply McCain frozen fries - not as fresh as they advertise their food to be! Definitely won't return.
reasonable priced lots of variety, nice atmosphere - mostly have been for lunch
On 2 separate visits at 2 different locations, we had incredibly bad service. At one it was my mother-in-law's 75th birthday & our waiter never came back after delivering us our dinner - no offer of dessert or coffee and no happy birthday song. The next visit was my husband's birthday and that service was just terrible, when we told... more
Great quaility for the dollar....busy waiting for a seat a must...great salads and deli food HUMMUS Rules
The pickle barrel always have great food. Loved the place and the food!!
It is not a horrible spot. You will be sure to find something on the menu. However, you could definitely eat somewhere with better food at the same price point. Still not bad.
I hate this restaurant. I find the menu is WAY too big and confusing. Even the waiters joke that it is a "novel", at about 22 pages long. I have been to this restaurant with work collegues and for family functions at least 5 times and tried a different menu item each time. I have never been impressed by anything... more
The food here is just terrible. I will never go back.
Nice menu, great selection, kids eat free on Sundays which is always a bonus for families...... more
I have been to this restaurant many times for its breakfast, initially it was alright I enjoyed it and thought I found a good place for breakfast. Their menu is CRAZY big-- yes, lots of ads and promos, but also, tons of dishes and options for everyone. Low cal, low carb, or if you want to splurge-- they have it all. Often busy for lunch and dinner, so reservations are recommended.
Would not recommend this restaurant...food mediocre at best. Draft beer arrived "cloudy", like someone hadn't washed the milk glass properly. Sent it back and was told it could not be replaced, as they were "all out" of that brand. Ordered a different beer and again, "sorry we're all out". Hmmmm Not a good start to a leisurely meal with friends.... more
It took over 30 minutes for our lunch salads to arrive. The restaurant wasn't even busy. Salads were decent.
My wife and I used to frequent the Erin Mills Town Centre location for a number of years and loved it. However the past two times we’ve had a horrible experience, and yesterday took the cake.
We walked in at around 1pm. It took 10 minutes for a server to see us. We ordered our meal straight away, instead of ordering drinks first and then the food. I ordered the steak Cesar salad and my wife...

I go to the pickle barrel for their corned beef. Its the best. The portions are good too. and well dare I say the pickles are good. They stand by their name.
Delicious food, stylish interior, low cost.
After such a terrible experience at Pickle Barrel at the Erin Mills location, I thought it was important to set other peoples expectations, especially for those couples who don’t want to have their romantic night out turn into a horrible experience.
My wife and I wanted to have a nice night out, we were celebrating her birthday. We left incredibly...

I have had two bad experiences at seperate times now here. Never again. Very slow, inattentive, unfriendly service overshadowed the quality of food.
The first Pickle Barrel opened in 1971 as a value-oriented dining destination. Today the popular restaurants boast a casually elegant ambience that complements a varied (and vast) menu. Breakfast, lunch, dinner daily. Casual. Entrees: $6.99-$22.99. AE, MC, V
