We have been here in the past an found it a pleasant experience. We arrived on a wet cold rainy Victoria night and were pleased to find the restaurant warm and bright. Good variety on menu (mostly noodle). The service was helpful and efficient. The restaurant did not have loud background music (noise) which was very much appreciated. Everything looked... more
Enjoyed the vegetarian pho as much this time as last. The veggies are very fresh and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly and efficient. Service is quick.
Decent menu, reasonable prices and good if not great Vietnamese food. Pho could do with more things in it.Service fairly indifferent.
This restaurant lives up to its name -- it serves a lot of Pho options. Good, comforting bowl of Vietnamese Pho, but nothing spectacular to write home about.
I have been here a number of times when I am working out of town in Victoria. Have mainly gone here out of habit, and because you can get a quick meal when you're on your own. Tonight is likely the last time here. Always notice that they have skimped on the basil, and more times than not, it is... more
I finished watching a movie nearby and was pleased to find this place open till midnight ( in a town where the sidewalks are rolled up at 10pm). Had a nice sweet beans and ice dessert. Good, prompt service. A bit too clean and bright for an Asian restaurant, but that's ok.
This is our favourite place for Vietnamese Food. We usually get one pho soup and a vermicelli dish. Today we were there again to have lunch an I had such an excellent and tasty meal, I was compelled to write about it. The pho soup was great. Good taste and plentiful. There could maybe a little more meat, but I... more
Pho has been my favourite place to eat since my boyfriend introduced me to it 8 months ago one afternoon when we were both super hungover . In my opinion this Is the best hangover cure. I love the sauces, the secret is in the sauces, I love Pho! Great staff, great place to eat!!! I'm going there now and... more
Not having much experience with Vietnamese food I can't compare the authenticity of the food, however I thought it was a great option in downtown Victoria.
Clean restaurant, friendly helpful staff and great value for money - what more could you ask for..
This is just what it claims to be...a basic Vietnamese noodle soup place. The service was pleasant, and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. My main complaint is that the soup broth was *very* salty! It was way too salty for my taste, and I mostly ate the ingredients out of the soup and left the broth!
This review is about the Pho Tai that I almost always have at any vietnamese place I visit for the first time.
I ordered the salad roll and the Pho Tai with beef on the side.
The service was very quick. The salad roll seemed mostly all rice noodle (as they all are but this one was thick with it!)....

Post wedding the next day family get together. One good thing here is that the place was large enough to accomadate our rather large group for some Pho noodle soups.
Staff was pleasant and it wasn't a busy day here either. I think it was the daylight savings time changeover that everyone was having challenges with getting up in the morning.
I was able to get my pho changed to the Egg (wuntun...

I definitely mirror the sentiment of other reviewers around here: Pho Hoa is a chain Vietnamese restaurant that should offer you consistency in menu items, but the downfall comes as a result of the quality of it's mainstay dish.
PHO:
- Bland soup broth, actually better than Pho Vy across the street. And by better, I mean I disliked Pho Vy's broth more than Pho Hoa's
+ Noodles are regular sized...

Well after expanding my horizons and trying pho in a few different places, I can sadly and safely say that Pho Hoa's pho (thats bordering on a tongue twister) is subpar and their broth is wanting for flavour. Also the last time I was in, the amount of goodies they gave us to add to the soup was sorely lacking as well as a lot less meat then their nearest competitor (and given just how near the... more
Fast food, pretty bland. Not bad for a fast lunch or after hours pho fix though.
Go across the street if you want quality pho.
Had a lemongrass chicken bowl which was alright and consistent with my experiences I've had at Vancouver's Pho Hoa but whether it's here or Vancouver, Pho Hoa is merely an average Pho place. There are plenty of better Pho places out there although I'm not sure if Victoria has those.
It's Vietnamese soup, well priced, consistent. Never had a problem, but just don't drink the fish sauce and then wash it down with hot tea.
I really loce the noodles soup from there, is cheap, fast and delicious..
Pho Hoa Restaurant offers these services: grocery store, restaurant.
