A dissapointment
I have had my face burnt here recently, and have thick archy brows; I've been to different ladies at this salon and each and every time they have thinned out my brows and made them round and completely out of shape. Verdict: I do not find the employees competent for eyebro shaping or face waxing. I dont know if I can trust them for facials either due to this. Maybe good for pedis or manis...
Horrible Place
I purchased a waxing service as a gift for my girlfriend. She went there, and she was much concerned about the senitation there. She was going to do it regardless, because she pretty much got dragged into the room ("very sketchy" said my girlfriend). She wanted to do a bikini wax, and she booked for a bikini wax, and she confirmed with them right before waxing that it was going to be a bikini wax. Then in one shot, only one shot, she had an almost Brazilian. When she got home, there was blood spots on her skin and wax was left all over her body.
Regardless, they charged my girlfriend extra 5 dollars for doing a Brazilian, which she never requested. This looks only like scam to me. They deserve lawsuits.
I hope Groupon does not do buisiniss with them anymore, this will degrade Groupon's reputation.
Great Nail Salon
I have been going to Lilian for the last 8 years. I have always been treated very well, excellent manicures and pedicures. Lilian, the owner is awesome and vest of all, it is very clean. I highly recommend this nail salon. They also do other spa treatments which are also great.

I have been to varsity location phamtastic nails for some time now. When I first went, I found the technicians to be warm and friendly. The place is usually busy, but even so, the moment I walk in the door, there is always someone there to greet me. The technicians that I go see always do a thorough job. They put on the gel with care, and make sure they shape the nails to my liking. The fact that they are willing to be flexible with the shape of the nails is something that I really like about this place. The tecnicians try their best to make me feel comfortable. We often have conversations, and I really enjoy my visits. I can see that they make an effort to keep things organized and clean. The receptionist is always running around and cleaning the place.
I like this place because I feel comfortable, and my nails always lasts up to 3 weeks. The technicians are willing to be flexible and consider my wants and opinions. I do recommend this place. After a few visits, I'm sure that you'll like this place as much as I do.

This spa has a great relaxing atmosphere. The ladies are all very nice and have great attention to detail. They offer outstanding serivce and are picky about keeping everything hair salon and it is the ONLY location. They are not related to any other spas sharing this same name. The owner Lilian owns only this spa and always does my wax service for me. Everything is very personalized here and all the ladies know you by name. I would recommend this spa to any woman or man, who want to get pampered and walk out with amazing results.
Dirty, uninterested technicians, sloppy
Varsity Location. Firstly, the business is very dirty. There is dust covering the fans, and shelves. The ledges on the desks are dusty and have dried coffee, and brown marks. The walls are splattered and show something had spilled and was left sitting to stain. The soaking tubs are plastic, and brown "goop" was left in the hanging hole when the lady brought over my bowl. The towels are stained, grey, (were white at some point), thin, frayed and old looking. The technician uses a liner of paper towel to cover her station which is not changed during customers (or the day? it was very dirty and crumpled) The cream and oil dispensers are in re-used hair dye bottles, with faded lettering which are again old looking and not very clean on the outside. She rips off pieces of paper towel to apply alcohol instead of using cotton balls. Dispensing bottles at the station were dusty, dirty and covered with stains. While my technician chatted a little bit, she seemed disinterested and withdrawn. She seemed not to care regardless, about her job or her clients. She “sawedâ€� over my nails back and forth roughly. She over filed my nails reducing short nails just past my fingertips down into the nail bed. (she reduced them by ½) Two nails have ragged uneven edges along the sides in an "L" shape. The implements had white power over them (used???) and she cut my cuticle causing my finger to bleed. There was no hand massage, but a brief rubbing of cream that lasted one minute. She put one coat of base, two coats of polish and a top coat (four all together) on without taking off the old clear polish I had on, leaving an uneven THICK finish which peeled on two nails an hour and a half after my appointment. She applied the thick polish all over my fingertips and it pooled into the cuticle beds. My 5 yr old applies polish better than this!! The whole experience left me hoping I haven’t caught a Fungus infection.
You get what you pay for.
Take the extra time and money and go to the spa.
Stay away from this place.

I go there for bikini waxing and manicure pedicure. Went couple times with 4 girlfriends and girls are always nice, pedicure and manicure stays for weeks and I personally won't go anywhere else to do waxing. And their employees worked there for long time so you don't have to go to different people each visit. Baby is the best employee the salon has :)

I have been going to Lillian Li for 15 years. She is the Owner of this store and has no relationship with the other Phamtastic Nails businesses. The staff are always friendly and welcome you. Service is great and very accommodating. The atmosphere feels "like home" and is truly is a place to go for manicures/pedicures/facials for total relaxation. I would highly recommend this spa.
