Got too much sand in my laptop
I came back to Canada after travel and my Sony laptop started shutting down. I took it to Amir and he quickly discovered that I had too much desert sand stuck in my computer - no surprise. He quoted a very reasonable price and repair time. Got my notebook back in great shape, running cool as when I bought it. I loved the simplicity and clear explanation of why things happen. I am a little smarter with my computer now too. Tech was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended in this day of shady service places.
Fast and correct diagnosis with extensive testing
I took my desktop in and had a feeling that my power supply was bad but was a little confused too. Amir plugged in his tester and under 5 minutes it was confirmed to be a dead supply. But my computer was intermittently turning off too so he checked that my pc had too much dust covering all components inside. i picked up my machine after work the same day and not only the supply was changed everything inside was shiny like new.
My computer has not worked this good in a long while. Price was very reasonable but most importantly my visit ultimately was a pleasant one and I learnt a lot too.
I would not hesitate recommending his repairs to others.
Alienware M17-R1 laptop repaired when Dell tech support could not
Amir fixed my Alienware M17-R1 laptop when Dell tech support could not. He fixed my problem in 2 days after I had spent 2 months with Dell with no success. I have to say PCNIX is now my first choice for PC Repairs. I would recommend PCNIX to anyone looking to get their Alienware laptop’s fixed in a professional and timely manner. If you want service PCNIX is the place to go to get you Alienware or other manufacturer laptop or PC fixed. They get my vote of confidence. My laptop is working better now than it ever did before. Tech spent 2 hours one on one trying to solve my issue
I dropped my laptop and it couldn't boot up anymore. I was on the road between meetings and had to get my outlook emails asap. I looked up for the nearest tech place and found PCNIX was less than 10 minutes of drive away. I called other places too but the minimum time I got was 48 hours. The tech at pcnix agreed to look at my urgent needs right away but obviously didn't guarantee a reccovery. I spent two hours while Amir was asking a bunch of questions in finding out what version of outlook email I had before crash. Ultimately he installed a new drive and got me access to outbook emails in about two hours.
The fact that he saved me from hours of re-work is amazing as it is but the personal touch and one on one dedicated service was simply the best. I have never experienced service like it before.
I live downtown Toronto so PCNIX is a bit far but I think I will drive up there for the passionate service and great conversation that I received.

Great place for Laptop LCD Screen repair
My brother punched my laptop and broke the screen. It's supposedly not a common screen and everywhere I called they told me 2 weeks, some places said 5 days. I got frustrated until I called this PCNIX place. They had my screen in stock which was surprising. At first I thought it may be one of those deals where you bring in your computer then don't have a lot of choice but to wait a long time. The guy said screen replacement would take 15 minutes - it literally did. I had to travel a bit but it was worth it. Price was less than any other place and NO WAIT? Got a brand new screen taken out of sealed package and replaced while I watched. The tech shared some tips on how to better protect my screen (don't punch it) etc.
All in all, this place was a small office in a strip mall on Sheppard ave but the tech running the place had a big heart. He skipped all waiting and was ready with my replacement screen waiting for me to arrive. Just splendid!
I also made it clear to this company that all future computer repair jobs are going to them.
Saved good chunk of $$ too, got free tips and a nice conversation. 15 minutes felt like 5 minutes.

I dropped water on my laptop keyboard and these guys got my computer repair done in very quick time. Not only that, I also got a call from the tech making sure all was working a week later. To my surprise, tech didn't try to sell me anything. Thumbs up!
