My wife and I stopped in before our hike yesterday morning and picked up some great sandwiches for the hike! We both got "The Bird" (homemade chicken), which we highly recommend. As good a place to go for yummy sandwiches and stuff for hiking, picnicking, or just enjoying a tasty munch. The place buzzes but it is run efficiently and the quality and value of the products is excellent. The coffee is OK too if you're there for breakfast or lunch.

Not much to look at from the outside but don't hold back from entering. The proprieter was a joy who took obvious pleasure in talking to us and building our individual sandwiches. We wandered in after a long drive from Banff, starving. The owner (I assume), talked us through the various options, with the two of us settling on the rotisserie chicken.
