For over 25 years the Rustom family has served fine Lebanese cuisine in the very same location. We’re not only known for Mediterranean fare, but also amazing fresh pizza and using completely organic and locally grown products (AAA BEEF,CHICKEN,LAMB,AND ALL OUR WONDERFUL VEGTABLES). Along with award winning cuisine, the restaurant boasts one of the largest wine lists in Alberta, with over 600... more
Went on a Saturday at 6:30, and we were seated immediately. Got there just in time since it filled up shortly after that. Our server was great! Professional and helpful, with just the right amount of service. We ordered the platinum mezza to try out all the different food. All of it was delicious, especially the cod catch of the... more
Our family regularly orders the Shish Tawouk platters form Parkallen and let me tell you why:
The food is absolutely fresh, made to order with wonderful authentic herbs and flavours. Their pizza is also wonderful and the place is charming and a real treat for dining out. We also order their food to go - the service is fantastic and...

The Fatouche is excellent - the best in Edmonton (and I've tried many)!
Also, besides the great Lebanese food - their pizza's are fantastic. I even eat the crust!
If you order the Mezza you better be hungry there's a lot of food!
The wines are not as good as in the past - they don't seem to be able...

Despite showing up close to 9pm on a Thursday, we were welcomed and allowed to stay and enjoy our meals and hooka without any pressure to leave. It was a nice, relaxing night with delicious food!
A group of us went for dinner recently. We shared a couple of pizzas and a fattoush salad. Salad was excellent while pizza was average. We were, however, taken aback by the price of the wine. The house whites included Copper Moon as well as Peller Estates and a cheap Jackson Triggs and they were selling these for $40. It's... more
The Lebanese Mezza was wonderful: fatush, Mediterranean and tabbouleh salads, hummus & pita, kibbe, and grilled chicken and beef with Lebanese rice. Having spent a great deal of time in the Levant, I can attest that all of this was totally authentic. It was also delicious. Why would anyone come to this restaurant for pizza, hamburgers and other western food... more
Some items on the menu were no available??Wine cabinet is half empty with selection miminal. Very pricey. Will NEVER go back.
We have been to Parkallen several times, and have always had good food. The Pizza is the BEST! Although we enjoy the food, we go more for the service by waiter, Dale. He makes the evening very enjoyable. He's great with customers, very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine, and is entertaining while he is serving. We have never... more
I visited the Parkallen last night on a recommendation from some friends. It was a Monday night, so we were seated quickly. I was immediately impressed by the beautiful wine display as you enter.
Our server was top notch - he was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to answer any questions we had.
On his recommendation, we...

It had been a long time since our last visit, but went with another couple to use a Groupon deal. Things started off poorly when their Open sign wasn't lit so we were worried it was closed, but things didn't get better with a very unfriendly, surly 'host'. Several spelling errors quickly visible in the menu (tenderlion, glutten) which could... more
We had very good service and good food on our visit to Parkallen. They were out of some menu items which was disappointing but the tenderloin was delicious and done medium rare just perfectly. The potatoes were yummy and the fatoush salad I love. My wine suggested by the server was really good and my husband's also. My creme brulee... more
The restaurant was extremely busy, and we got the only available table. We were greeted and seated quickly. Although it took ten minutes to get attention from our server, from then on we were well-attended. The special of the evening was lamb osso bucco, which I ordered for $38. My partner ordered a Lebanese plate (falafel, taboulli, etc). We ordered a... more
Great wine selection, exceptional Middle Eastern food, good service, will certainly go back again, away from downtown, plenty of parking
We had heard great things about the pizza at this restaurant (and I understand it is fabulous) but we opted for a dinner. We shared 2 appetizers between the four of us - they were good. All of our main course dishes were good but nothing that makes you say, OMG when you take a bite; except for the lamb;... more
This restaurant has nice decor and a great wine selection. My wife and I have eaten here a number of times. The food is good quality and tasty, although it is now over-priced. The service is always very hit and miss, and never great. On this latest visit we waited a very long time to even get a glass of... more
Hidden gem on the south side of Edmonton. Great Lebanese food and an extensive wine list. Anything you choose will sure to please your palate.
Parking is horrible. They dont even shovel the front for customers. Ambiance is okay. Place is only good for 20 couples. Went for a Valentine dinner with my wife with a Groupon and was told that I have to pay an extra $23 because it's Valentine. Ordered two starters. Salads tastes good. Ordered Lamb racks and my wife AAA Alberta... more
We had been there before and this was our 1st time after the renos. We were 2 couples, shared an appetizer and a greek salad. Each would have been a meal for one person. Good selections of mains - large servings. Grilled veggies were done to perfection. Huge desserts and sooo yummy. Prices are about the same as most good... more
The very first thing that struck us when we walked in was the beautiful glass wine cellar smack in the centre of the restaurant. It truly was a piece of art. Whoever designed this with the renovations had tremendous insight.
The host was impressive, delightfully well spoken/travelled and you could tell he was well suited to his position with his...

Went with family, and ordered some Greek salads - wonderful, and a couple of large pizzas. very much enjoyed the dinner. They were out of the wine my son wanted, but offered him tastes of a couple of others - one he very much enjoyed.
Once seated and after food arrived, the waiter was not in sight. He most likely knew he served an inadequate meal. Steak was thin at one end and slightly thicker at the other end and very tough. Grape leaf rolls were no larger than your little finger - all you tasted was the leaf. Will never go back. A rip... more
Many times over I will just say this little restaurant is Great! The food, service and atmosphere is wonderful....the menu is simple yet hit's all palates. Keep up the good work.
The restaurant has been renovated and it looks much improved--very modern. Each of us ordered pizza and all of us were really happy with our selections. The pizza was around $16 for a medium (depending on the toppings) and it was absolutely delicious--loved it. I would rate it higher than Famoso's for sure--more filling and better pizza crust. We wanted... more
Went with colleagues from out of town for an early dinner. I hadn't been since the renovation and was happy with the change. The decor is much improved and the place is intimate, though professional. Because we got there early (4;30 pm) the restaurant was pretty much empty. Service, however, was prompt and courteous. As time progressed, our server got... more
Great experience... My wife and I went out for a romantic super together.
Great food and a HUGE wine selection! Clean and very cozy little spot.
I truly like the service. The person that took care of us that night made us laugh and was VERY personable.
We will be back!
Right from the start we started off on the wrong foot at this restaurant when the waiter was trying to get us to order wine without the benefit of us seeing the wine list and the prices. I have very limited knowledge of wines and I didn't appreciate how condencending he was and he got really p@!%!d off when I... more
The food and service was slightly above average. Nothing to rave about. Prices are reasonable.
I drive by often and saw this place under went a reno. So last weekend I took some guys from work. It was awful. I was so embaressed. They didnt have a number of wines in stock that were on the menu. Waiter got very angry with our selections. He offered no apologies and made us feel quite unwelcome. His... more
I booked a reservation for the Parkallen Restaurant. When our party of 5 arrived at the appointed time the next day, we were informed that they didn't have room for us, that they don't take reservations (apparently it was the old man who previously owned the restaurant who "took" the reservation), and we were then ignored.
There was no sense...

I had heard good things here and there about this restaurant. I went twice and both times I was unimpressed with the food and found it overpriced. They have some "tapas" style menu items that sounded like they would be good for a larger group, but when I went there was only two of us.
The Parkallen's pizza is very good! Lots of cheese and freshly made.
I would love to say that I enjoyed this restaurant...the food was great. However, the service was absolutely terrible! Dale, our waiter, offered us the wine menu. I have a limited knowledge of wine (as much as having a level 2 Sommelier course involves being limited!), and was asked to choose a bottle. The wine mene advertises a 2005 Pirramimma,... more
I have long liked this restaurant. The renovation is attractive, but there is little space to wait for a table or take-out food, and the staff seems to be disorganized. I had salmon kebabs and found the fish to taste a bit stale. The Lebanese rice was very nice.
So many years at this location with so many memories that I love. This is a true Edmonton institution. We should be proud that edmonton can support such a gem of a place. The renos are superb kudos to all at Parkallen.
pick a theme. Labanese salad was excellent as were the falafel. Not sure why steamed musssels with french bread are on the menu. The pizza was okay but I think this take out type service takes away from what they were trying to create. As for the wine list - some good and great selections although I would be pretty... more
Now the decor matches the quality of the food and service. The lebanese salad is a must have. I have never been disappointed by this restaurant as they are consistent in quality of the food and service as they come.
Well I know this resturaunt quite well, I have now gone to 2 breakfast in three weeks and have been absolutely dissappointed. Portins have varied for the same dish. 2 times eggs have been cooked wrong. But the last time takes the prize. We sat for approx. 20 minutes before a being served coffee another 15 minutes before we could order. Then our waitress forgot to enter our food. It took 1 hour... more
Excellent Lebanese / middle eastern food. Do try it some time
warm and delicious; leftovers fed me for days... decent dolmades.
Ok, decent pizza delivery--did we order wrong?
Just a block from home...very good pizza and Lebanese food.
Probably the best little secret in the city...finest dinner a person can have and feel like your on vacation in somewhere in Europe. Excellent restaurant.
For the longest time I never knew this restaurant served anything other than pizza. I have friends who order their pizza all the time, it's the best I've had. Only later when I went with them to pick it up did I find out they serve Lebansese food, as well (but can only comment on their pizza).
The popular Parkallen Restaurant has been delighting patrons in the city with its award-winning Lebanese cuisine as well as an extensive wine list. Apart from this, it also serves up delicious Mediterranean specialties. The restaurant offers a delivery service in case you wish to enjoy your food at home and also a catering service for private events. Check website for more information.
Although this neighborhood restaurant first began as a pizza place, Lebanese fare is now the highlight. Complex flavor combinations distinguish the cuisine, and the skill of the kitchen is evident. Whether you opt for the creamy goodness of baba ghanoush on pita chips or a crisp fatouche salad adorned with radishes, cucumbers and lemon, you'll find it here. You'll also discover chicken kabobs,... more
