Disappointed- Service so bad we left

Having recently moved to Hespeler my boyfriend and I ventured downtown to try out Papou's. We visited last summer the day we moved to town and hadn't been too impressed but thought we would try it again.

Stacked Subs

Despite the proximity to Subway, we know that Papou's is our sub depot now. We stopped in on a Friday night and the advertised $5 roast beef footlong was a no-brainer. family favourite

Our family loves the fresh ingredients and quality taste of Papous subs. Way better quality than any of the chain stores, and much more wallet friendly.

Boring and not as good as the franchise places

Been to this place a few times because I like to support small, independent businesses but I just don't get how this place is still in business. their breads are c@!p, sandwich meat gross and not appealing whatsoever. May try it one last time soon, but I have been disappointed the 2 or 3 times I have tried.

Twice, something smelled like bleach

My wife and I ordered subs twice from this location...both times something smelled like bleach and the subs were uneatable. I'm not sure what the cause of this is/was...but other rate this location well. Our experience was perhaps out of the ordinary. (to be fair, we have only ever ordered our food to go).

Excellent food & service

This establishment is truly what Submarine sandwiches are all about!! Truly authentic and traditional. No sparing of ingredients when making these!! Best place in Cambridge/ Hespler to get Submarine sandwiches
