Love the food. The beef satay soup and salad rolls are the best I've had. I agree with some of the comments about service, it can feel almost negligent, but it's not bad enough to keep us from coming back.
Parking during the lunch hour can be the largest deterrent for me.
The food was so good. It came out in a decent amount of time, maybe tending toward a little long but... oh, what food. It is hands down the best Vietnamese I've ever had. The portions were huge for the cost. There was a huge amount of variety.
The service was so bad. They were friendly enough just so slow....

This is one of the best restaurants for Authentic Vietnamese food in Chinatown. We come here for lunch as often as possible. The place is small and always busy, but service is always friendly and efficient. Huge menu and if you don't find what you want, just ask and they will make it for you, if they have the ingredients.... more
I went to this restaurant many times with my friend for lunch. On that day was busy but we didn't wait very long. Every time I go there I try to order different food. I liked all of food I had order. I don't eat beef so I can't tell it's good or not but I want you to try... more
I remember going to this restaurant when I was younger (5 - 12), and it was really good. As a family we would all go on a regular basis, until my sister caught the server tasting our drinks then dipping the same spoon back and stirring. The server made another drink, and threw the other one out. When my sister... more
We found it underwhelming. The food was very bland and overpriced for the quality of the food. Would not recommend it all.
I tried this restaurant due to a recommendation by a family member. It was an average meal.
I went on a Saturday night and that was probably the mistake as it was jam packed and the service and food was average.
I was especially very disappointed with the spicy squid. I am not sure what thickening agent they used but...

I beleive it is number 36 on the menu. Nice spice, fast service, fills up quickly at lunch. The spring rolls were a little greasy for my taste but overall a nice experiance.
My buddies and I ate here a lot. Last time I went I noticed the waitress collecting the leftover rice containers from tables and I watched her bring them into the kitchen and dump the rice into a new container which eventually was brought to a customer. Gross. Who knows what else they recycle?! I mentioned it to a friend... more
We have been going to this restaurant for the past 10 years. We have never been disappointed. The food is always great, great service and great people. As soon as you sit down they bring you hot tea. Our favorite is Grilled lemon grass chicken with vermicelli & vegetables with 2 spring rolls. You have to try it. Portions are... more
I go here every chance I get. Great, fresh food! never had a bad choice
great little place in china town with great vietnamese coffes, yummy
Ive diversed and tried multiple other restaurants and none compare to the taste and speed of service found here. I love the tea you receive when you first arrive at table and they are quick to take your order. The only downside is its decor isn't very good.. It's more of a jewel in the rough.
BIg portions, great food, fast and for under 12 dollars. Great for lunch and dinner. Food is the pho, with variety meats, seafood and soup...excellent shrimp rolls too.
have been going here for a few years for lunch and the odd dinner a few times a month service is fast , food is hot fresh and delicious , never had a bad meal.price is average portions generous , flavour Great. you wont be disappointed I. recommend "70B"grilled chicken great flavour infusion . always included is a fresh hot... more
The food is very reasonably priced and very tasty. We ate there for lunch 4 days in a row because we were in a course in the same building. It gets very busy at lunch so show up early. The ginger beef and ginger chicken were my favorites.
I used to live in Edmonton and this was one of my favs. Was back in Edmonton last week and again Pagolac was fabulous.
didn't meet the expectations from previous reviews. I've tasted better.
What can I say? Good food at good prices. The service is always very efficient, and the kitchen works quickly. The atmosphere is horrible: it's freezing in winter, it's located in an iffy area of town, and the bathrooms need a little assistance, but I keep going back for the food, not the bathrooms.
SOOO good and reasonably priced
Anyone that goes there should try the dinner for 2. If you like beef and great food you need to try it. It is not fancy but the food is wonderful
Great food for the price, Vietnamese aint my thing but these guys do it good, service is a little disapointing
Awesome food and reasonable prices, but atmosphere could be improved.
Solid Vietnamese. Have the Bun Bo Hue, spicy beef soup. Typical of the really good Vietnamese you can get in Edmonton.
Great food...wish they would lose the carpet on the floor!!
Good & pricing is good, but their service wasn't so great.
Pagolac has great tasting food and pretty good prices. Worth a visit (remember to order deep fried ice cream for dessert!)
Great for a cheap feed of noodles. I like the atmosphere, but not everyone would.
Good but not the best service ever.
As good as "than than's" - but much less expensive ~ a real "hidden jewel"
WOO HOO! i love this place, great take out.
The decor is really scary, but the food is great. The pho is recommended if you like pho. I don't, but my partner swears by it. My favorites include the pan-fried beef with lemongrass and vermicelli, the vegetarian spring rolls, and an iced Vietnamese coffee. Service is generally fast.
