Patio with a view

Enjoyed a very pleasant dinner on the patio. Our waitress was friendly and helpful,, the service was fast, the beer was cold and the food was good. We were expecting " Irish Entertainment " in an Irish Pub, but not so ,, It was a young band playing pop music ,, good, but not Irish.

Great Gluten free

We went as had good reviews on trip advisor for gluten free... Menu choice not as great as I would have hoped but still good. Would be good to be able to have a starter other than salad, but, hey ho, that is GF life .

A fun and busy place

I've only had lunch here… several times. Each time has been a very good experience. The portions are large. The fish and chips are very good and when asked if you want one or two pieces… they are talking one or two whole fish. The portions are huge.

Typical Pub

The Waitress was friendly and the Beer was good food was typical bar fare. Nothing wrong with the place but nothing exceptional either

Yum! Yum

I must eat gluten free, I have NCGS. I have not been able to have a burger in a restaurant for a very long time. The gluten free menu is wonderful. Only suggestion I would have is to have gluten free nachos and wings to go with the good gluten free beer. The patio is great. The service was wonderful.... more

Great patio dining by the river

Growing up in Sarnia this is always one of my favorite restaurants to frequent in the summer. For a chain restaurant I find their pub food top notch. Can't beat the atmosphere of sitting outside by the water enjoying a pint or two as well! Just watch out for bees near the end of the summer :)

Great Spot for Business Lunch or Pleasure

Just returned to the office after a great lunch at Paddy's. Food was outstanding as always. We both had the Shepherd Pie which we love. Service was also great. The staff was friendly and knowledgable of the offerings on the menu.

Gluten free dinner

Went for supper with the family, great gluten free menu, and awesome regular menu. Staff is great and very friendly. Great location down by the harbour.

Always stop by here on trips to Sarnia

Beers here is great. The pub food is great. I always go for the lamb shank, the fish and chips, the burgers, or salmon. It's almost embarrassing. I almost show up every night when I am here on business for a few nights. Just can't go wrong. The servers are all friendly and excellent.

Great selection of beers and a decent enough choice for food! Sitting out on the patio is great and the staff are all super freindly and nice! Great experience every time I've been!

Great place to visit

I enjoy their Blarney Chips which are diamond cut potato thins covered in your choice of toppings. The standard I believe is green peppers, jalapeno peppers and cheese. It's very tasty and filling. Great experience on many occasions. Good food, great service and smiling atmosphere. Love the table setting and cannot wait until the good weather comes so that the patio can be enjoyed also.

Nice Irish pub on the water

I have eaten at Paddy's several times, always for lunch. I find the food to be very good, the beer cold and the staff excellent. Not much more a person could ask!
I can't offer a dinner review but if lunches are any indication, I would go for dinner any time,

The Place to be on St Patty's Day

A Great selection of Traditional Irish Food, Beer & Hospitality. The atmosphere on St Patty's day was awesome.They had the usual Green Beer, Lovely Ladies waiting on the tables, live band playing traditional Irish Pub music. All in All a MIGHTY Party.

Needs to have an uplift in decor dark & old looking. Wine expensive. Food pretty good like that they update menu. Nice outside in the summer but chairs uncomfortable.

If you enjoy the pub experience, this is the place. The food is good but the place is not conducive to conversation. Lively and enjoyed by a younger crowd. Handicap friendly.

A happy Friday dinner

We visited with 2 other couples while passing thru Sarnia--the food was very good, but the portions were a bit skimpy. The great selection of beer on tap was a treat.

Good restaurant when driving through Sarnia

Good food, with great service and a view of the water and city centre. The beer choices are great and the food we ordered was served in a reasonable time and the quality was typical pub food. I would drop in if I was going through Sarnia again.

Great Irish experience

well if you are looking for good music, a pint, a stew or just a place to forget your troubles Paddy's is the place to do it! A great location close to downtown, right on the dock and right beside the park. The caesars were terrific perfect spice and perfect taste, cured my hangover!

Right on the waterfront, wonderful view, patio open during the summer (smoking and non). Staff cheery and knowledgeable. Nice place - good food

Ate here with work colleagues. Service was excellent. Food was very good. A little pricey for some of the appetizers and drinks but they were good. Looks like this would be an excellent place in the summer.

Normally dependable

The food is usually really good and the service is reliable. Drinks are on the steep side compared to other Sarnia pubs. Nice atmosphere and a great patio in the summer, especially when a good band is playing.

Great atmosphere, awesome food

A great place in Sarnia to check out! Pub classics like Lamb Shank, Boxtys, Yorkshire Pudding and more are featured in addition to more common pub fare such as burgers. A great selection of craft beers along with pub standard Guiness make for a nice evening out. Really enjoyed the Lamb Shank, haven't had a bad meal here.

Awesome food

Great place to relax on the patio during the summer.
Good beer choices.
A little more pricey but you get good quality for what you pay for.
Waitresses are ditsy for the most part however.

I love this place. The location at the river is really good. During the summer, they have tons of outside music with many new bands and some old classic ones.

Good food, great time

4-1/2 stars. Just back from dinner at Paddy's. I truly enjoyed my meal of french onion soup, lamb shank and red velvet donuts. This is now a "must do" each and every time we visit Sarnia. Already looking forward to next time.

Really Nice Irish Pub

I've been visiting Sarnia for many years and I usually will stop by Patty's at least once every visit. Great Irish pub, nice atmosphere, great beer selection. Over the years I've probably had almost everything on the menu and the food never disappoints. You can always count on Patty's for a solid meal and great atmosphere.

Well prepared 'pub food' - better than expected. Outdoor dining if you get there early enough - or wait 20-30 min for a table.

The food here was great and there was a nice variety. Pleasant atmosphere and we had a nice view from our table by the window. Only complaint was that the service was a little slow. We had the Red Velvet Donuts for dessert - terrific!

Great place for brunch

Great outdoor patio seating, good atmosphere. Food is delicious and a nice change. I had the lamb and seafood pie on two different occasions. My husband had the omlette, home fries are surprisingly sweet, very yummy. Food quality and service are great! highly recommended!

First trip to pattys the other day, was pleasantly surprised! Food was good, service was great overall a good time! Not over priced great value! Love the decor could sit in there for hours on end!

This is my daughter’s favorite restaurant, and has grown to be mine also. We have dined there many times and on many special occasions. Paddy Flaherty's is totally the place to be on St. Patricks Day but it is also a great place to go on a warm evening to their great patio by the water or warm up by their fireplace inside the restaurant in the winter time. The woodwork & the great atmosphere and Oh did I tell you they have great food too! For a good time with friends Paddy Flaherty's is a great choice!

Overblown, overpriced dog chow

Sarnia isn’t exactly heaving with decent restaurants, and Paddy Flaherty’s can be added to that list. While you ostensibly pay extra for the lakefront location (oil tankers being refitted consititues the ‘view’) you’re actually paying for the pseudo-Irish atmosphere that veritably drips off the walls.
