Enjoyed a very pleasant dinner on the patio. Our waitress was friendly and helpful,, the service was fast, the beer was cold and the food was good. We were expecting " Irish Entertainment " in an Irish Pub, but not so ,, It was a young band playing pop music ,, good, but not Irish.
We went as had good reviews on trip advisor for gluten free... Menu choice not as great as I would have hoped but still good. Would be good to be able to have a starter other than salad, but, hey ho, that is GF life .
Food good, fast service, would go back...... One dessert choice of vanilla ice cream....

Just returned from a very enjoyable meal at Paddy's with our friends. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. The atmosphere was bustling but not noisy. The food was very good - sensible portions (often with a choice of small or 'regular') and a good choice. My only real criticism was that there was no obvious selection of starters for one,... more
I've only had lunch here… several times. Each time has been a very good experience. The portions are large. The fish and chips are very good and when asked if you want one or two pieces… they are talking one or two whole fish. The portions are huge.
The Waitress was friendly and the Beer was good food was typical bar fare. Nothing wrong with the place but nothing exceptional either
I must eat gluten free, I have NCGS. I have not been able to have a burger in a restaurant for a very long time. The gluten free menu is wonderful. Only suggestion I would have is to have gluten free nachos and wings to go with the good gluten free beer. The patio is great. The service was wonderful.... more
Growing up in Sarnia this is always one of my favorite restaurants to frequent in the summer. For a chain restaurant I find their pub food top notch. Can't beat the atmosphere of sitting outside by the water enjoying a pint or two as well! Just watch out for bees near the end of the summer :)
Just returned to the office after a great lunch at Paddy's. Food was outstanding as always. We both had the Shepherd Pie which we love. Service was also great. The staff was friendly and knowledgable of the offerings on the menu.
Went for supper with the family, great gluten free menu, and awesome regular menu. Staff is great and very friendly. Great location down by the harbour.
Beers here is great. The pub food is great. I always go for the lamb shank, the fish and chips, the burgers, or salmon. It's almost embarrassing. I almost show up every night when I am here on business for a few nights. Just can't go wrong. The servers are all friendly and excellent.
Great selection of beers and a decent enough choice for food! Sitting out on the patio is great and the staff are all super freindly and nice! Great experience every time I've been!
I enjoy their Blarney Chips which are diamond cut potato thins covered in your choice of toppings. The standard I believe is green peppers, jalapeno peppers and cheese. It's very tasty and filling. They also offer many traditional Irish dishes as well as a large selection of beers. Ones you won't find served anywhere else is Sarnia. Their service is... more
The staff at Paddy's go the extra mile to cater to guests! They always are friendly and so entertaining! Highly recommend!!
I'm usually here with friends 6 or 7 times each year. The decor is 'authentic Irish Pub' with many small alcoves for more intimate dining, a large bar, several booths and a huge outdoor patio. The menu has a wide variety of burgers and appetizers, entrees and desserts. Over the years I have tried almost everything on the menu and... more
Great experience on many occasions. Good food, great service and smiling atmosphere. Love the table setting and cannot wait until the good weather comes so that the patio can be enjoyed also.
I have eaten at Paddy's several times, always for lunch. I find the food to be very good, the beer cold and the staff excellent. Not much more a person could ask!
I can't offer a dinner review but if lunches are any indication, I would go for dinner any time,
A Great selection of Traditional Irish Food, Beer & Hospitality. The atmosphere on St Patty's day was awesome. They had the usual Green Beer, Lovely Ladies waiting on the tables, live band playing traditional Irish Pub music. All in All a MIGHTY Party.
For a Sarnian or a visitor this place will satisfy for a variety of reasons; food, atmosphere and location by the bay
Needs to have an uplift in decor dark & old looking. Wine expensive. Food pretty good like that they update menu. Nice outside in the summer but chairs uncomfortable.
Paddy Flaherty's Irish Pub in Sarnia is truly Irish. They serve a lot of the goodies which should be available in an Irish Pub: various ales and beer, steak pie, shepherd's pie, curried meals, etc. It's located next to the government shipyard docks and fairly close to the Sarnia Bay Marina and not far from downtown. Food quality is great... more
If you enjoy the pub experience, this is the place. The food is good but the place is not conducive to conversation. Lively and enjoyed by a younger crowd. Handicap friendly.
We visited with 2 other couples while passing thru Sarnia--the food was very good, but the portions were a bit skimpy. The great selection of beer on tap was a treat.
Good food, with great service and a view of the water and city centre. The beer choices are great and the food we ordered was served in a reasonable time and the quality was typical pub food. I would drop in if I was going through Sarnia again.
well if you are looking for good music, a pint, a stew or just a place to forget your troubles Paddy's is the place to do it! A great location close to downtown, right on the dock and right beside the park. The caesars were terrific perfect spice and perfect taste, cured my hangover!
For food had the seafood pot...

Went for lunch and had a delicious meal and a couple of drinks. The selection on the menu and on draft taps was great. Cant wait to go back. Great service and great food ! Cant wait for the patio to open also.
Enjoyed some new menu items on our most recent visit. Food is a good value, better than comparably priced chain restaurants. Atmosphere is fun. Great beer selections. Service was friendly as usual. When we are in Sarnia and looking for a meal, we choose Paddy's 9 times out of 10. When the weather warms up, the patio is the place... more
Right on the waterfront, wonderful view, patio open during the summer (smoking and non). Staff cheery and knowledgeable. Beer selection good, live music Thursday-Saturday starting around 9:30ish, all kinds of bands and always scheduled in advance so you can pick and choose - play outdoor in the summertime. Food selections wide enough to please anyone, from a simple chicken ceasar... more
The burgers are excellent as well as the cottage pies and salmon dinner. Lots of variety. I never had a bad meal as Paddy's
Real nice pub with lots to see and read on the walls throughout the pub. Easy to get to great food and of course the beer. A nice touch is that the girls serving the tables had dresses and they all looked good with a nice smile when serving at the table and bar. The bad was starting at 9... more
Ate here with work colleagues. Service was excellent. Food was very good. A little pricey for some of the appetizers and drinks but they were good. Looks like this would be an excellent place in the summer.
This Irish Pub is located near the water and would be amazing in the summer. There is lots of choices of beer. Live entertainment would be a lot of fun in the summer. The food is so so as is the service. Too bad because it does have a lot of potential. Maybe this was just an off night. Let's... more
This is a definite part of my bi-weekly visits. Great service and food, a must try is the avocado burger and lamb shank.
We were told that Paddy's had a gluten free menu and we decided to check it out for lunch. We were sat down and my wife asked if they had a gluten free menu. The waitress came back with an extensive gluten free menu. It's the first time my wife has had the option of a bun, so she had... more
The food is usually really good and the service is reliable. Drinks are on the steep side compared to other Sarnia pubs. Nice atmosphere and a great patio in the summer, especially when a good band is playing.
Great Pub food and a really good beer selection .Excellent outdoor seating in Summer. Some
very good menu choices.
A great place in Sarnia to check out! Pub classics like Lamb Shank, Boxtys, Yorkshire Pudding and more are featured in addition to more common pub fare such as burgers. A great selection of craft beers along with pub standard Guiness make for a nice evening out. Really enjoyed the Lamb Shank, haven't had a bad meal here.
Food is really good and I love the atmosphere. It really does feel like and Irish pub. I don't go here very often but I love it. The music is too loud at night ( I guess I'm getting old). I would go for lunch when it's quieter. There is a nice place to sit outside and it's right along... more
Great place to relax on the patio during the summer.
Good beer choices.
A little more pricey but you get good quality for what you pay for.
Waitresses are ditsy for the most part however.
I love this place. The location at the river is really good. During the summer, they have tons of outside music with many new bands and some old classic ones.
You have to try the home made potatoe chips!!! OMG!!! they are soooooo good.
The music here is an eclectic mix and always fantastic, great assortment of draft beefs and food is good and diverse
I was there the day they opened and had my usual burger, fries and salad. It was lovely on that day but not as nice from then on. Several years ago, I had lunch with one of the chaps I worked with and the waitress was so rude to me (not to him), that my friend asked me if I... more
Great food.excellent menu. Good atmosphere.come to sarnia once a month and always eat here.good wait staff
I had the Caesar Salad with the Grilled Chicken add on, chicken was moist tender and very good. Bacon in the Caesar Salad was delicious! The person I was with had the Seafood Pie and said it was delicious, lots of seafood and it looked great. Shared an order of the Red Velvet Donuts, they are mini donuts crunch on... more
4-1/2 stars. Just back from dinner at Paddy's. I truly enjoyed my meal of french onion soup, lamb shank and red velvet donuts. This is now a "must do" each and every time we visit Sarnia. Already looking forward to next time.
I've been visiting Sarnia for many years and I usually will stop by Patty's at least once every visit. Great Irish pub, nice atmosphere, great beer selection. Over the years I've probably had almost everything on the menu and the food never disappoints. You can always count on Patty's for a solid meal and great atmosphere.
Well prepared 'pub food' - better than expected. Outdoor dining if you get there early enough - or wait 20-30 min for a table.
The food here was great and there was a nice variety. Pleasant atmosphere and we had a nice view from our table by the window. Only complaint was that the service was a little slow. We had the Red Velvet Donuts for dessert - terrific!
Paddy's is always a good choice for a decently-priced good meal, with pleasant and prompt service, good beer selection. We've never been disappointed, and more often than not when we head to Sarnia for a movie or shopping, Paddy's is our choice for dinner. Nice patio with a view of the water too. They add seasonal items/beers to their menu... more
Great outdoor patio seating, good atmosphere. Food is delicious and a nice change. I had the lamb and seafood pie on two different occasions. My husband had the omlette, home fries are surprisingly sweet, very yummy. Food quality and service are great! highly recommended!
First trip to pattys the other day, was pleasantly surprised! Food was good, service was great overall a good time! Not over priced great value! Love the decor could sit in there for hours on end!
This is my daughter’s favorite restaurant, and has grown to be mine also. We have dined there many times and on many special occasions. I don’t know who the other poster is on this site but everywhere else you look they get 4 or 5 stars. I usually have the shepherd’s pie and my daughter has the salmon. I all so like the steak boxy good too. I am disappointed they have taken the regular bread... more
Paddy Flaherty's is totally the place to be on St. Patricks Day but it is also a great place to go on a warm evening to their great patio by the water or warm up by their fireplace inside the restaurant in the winter time. The woodwork & the great atmosphere and Oh did I tell you they have great food too! For a good time with friends Paddy Flaherty's is a great choice!
Sarnia isn’t exactly heaving with decent restaurants, and Paddy Flaherty’s can be added to that list. While you ostensibly pay extra for the lakefront location (oil tankers being refitted consititues the ‘view’) you’re actually paying for the pseudo-Irish atmosphere that veritably drips off the walls.
8 bucks a pint for import? Admittedly they have Harp, which is nothing to sing about. They...
