I recently ordered an expensive snowboard jacket online and had it shipped to me in Ontario... Unfortunately, I ordered a size too big.. After calling and having the staff member speak to the order (which they would not let me do), they would not accept a return or exchange the unworn jacket even if I paid to ship it back... It was past their 30 day return policy as it was gifted to me later... more
The few times I've gone here, the layout of the store is different, which makes returning to find the same items a little tricky at times, but it also helps you to discover the new things they've received in stock. 2-3 weeks between visits, and they already had a whole bunch of new jackets, some of which actually fit me this time (xs). Yay! They also have some pretty decent sales - especially... more
I just got great service. I was confused and undecisive about a product but the manager there was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot of things to help me with my decision. Showed me a few products for comparison. Will go there again.
Great place, awesome store with tonnes of product. Huge selection of snowboard equipment, surfboards etc, with knowledgable staff. Will be back for sure
Not a bad store, could be a lot better though. The service needs to be drastically improved, the staff doesn't finish up business with one customer before jumping to another, often keeping the previous customer waiting for no reason. I wish they had some more skateboard stuff, but it's a fair selection nonetheless.
This old lady doesn't know much about snowboards but I do know a lot more after dropping off my board for a hot wax.
While my timing was right at the back door, I got help opening the door and taking my board to the counter. They had to find more slips to write my details but I was entertained by another staff member adding to my knowledge of wax and board care.
They've won my business. I...

Pacific Boarder has become my go to snowboard store over the years. I always shop around the block checking all the competitors. In the end I almost always make my big purchases here. I just bought a board here after shopping around for a couple hours. I went during a work day and ended up having the advice of three of the employees which all seemed honestly interested in helping.
The only...

When I first got into boarding and decided to invest in some gear, this was a perfect place to start. They had a good selection of gear that you needed to survive a day of shredding. The staff were awesome in telling me the do's and don't's and were patient and receptive to all my newbie questions. If you have a hard time finding sizes, buy the stuff at the beginning of the season - though... more
I've been having bad luck with snowboards. I bought my first high end board off a guy on Craigslist and after only a few runs on the mountain, the bottom of my board starting ripping off.
I got the same board again at Comor, then after two sessions, it got stolen in Whistler.
This happened 5 years ago and I've been borrowing boards from friends ever since.
Last season, I got high end Burton...

Pacific Boarder was amazing when i bought my new snowboard (which has a wicked ANGRY hummingbird on it!) - love it! They went through all the technical reasons that I should buy 3 boards that they suggested once i gave them my price range. Super helpful and informative at a time when i was pretty intimidated by the massive selection. It was extremely overwhelming to walk in but the staff was so... more
The staff know what they're talking about at Pacific Boarder. They're efficient and friendly. The selection is ample and their sales are always good. When something is on sale, it's at least 30-50% off and not that lame 10% sale that barely covers tax. You're getting a deal at Pacific Boarder. You can approach anyone there and he/she will make you satisfied when you leave. Make sure to take... more
I mistakenly went into this store looking for ski wax. As the name says, it's a purely snowboarding store in the winter and if that's what you're actually looking for then you will not be disappointed. Although, I do think they also carry surfboards and skate gear: So more accurately it purely a board-sports store.
Inside, the racks and layout grows in every direction like a department store....

This is a huge shop with ample floor space to carry a wide variety of stock to outfit you for the mountain (or surf or skatepark). You can find good quality boards from all the big names. We received excellent service from friendly staff members who knew a thing or two about getting down a mountain.
This store got hit hard at Christmas and stock (especially sale items) was beginning to thin...

Slide in to Pacific Boarder to find staple surf brands (Billabong and Roxy), as well as a massive swimwear collection that includes suits by Raisins, Radio Fiji, Reef, Lost and L*Space. Look for bikinis with metallic or foil details, bright splashes of teal, magenta or yellow, and patterns such as polka dots and plaids, and never underestimate the strength of solids. There's nothing easier to... more
This is where I indulge in the fantasies of my inner skater from my teenage years that was too uncool to be released. Pacific Boarder houses Billabong, Vans, Anon, Quicksilver, Roxy and Burton, amongst others. The sheer magnitude of stock is overwhelming, particularly to any skater novice or poser. But the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and are always willing to answer any questions you... more
