Close to hospital

Lost all our food for breakfast and lunches as fridge set incorrectly and food froze. Bed was very uncomfortable and bed spread very old and full of holes. No coffee maker in room. No shampoo only bar soap with Super 8 packaging.

Large room

The room was very large and very clean. Although it seemed quite old it was very nicely decorated. The bed, as is usual in a motel room, was too soft. The bathroom fixtures were ancient, but, worked well, Our sleep was uninterrupted by traffic noises. This was a one night stop on our trip to the Soo, I would stay there again.

Tired hotel - Needs renovating

Stayed one night - reception was very efficient and pleasant. They were suffering from the effects of a long power outage, but had put a heater in the room which worked well. The hotel is generally tired looking - it needs upgrading in the washroom and hallway. It may have been taken over by Super * (they were using their soap in the washroom) so that may happen. Reasonable hotel easy to find

We had a nice view into forest out the back of the hotel. Bed was somewhat hard and uncomfortable. We came home one night after a significant rainstorm and found water on the bathroom floor which had come in through the roof. They were very nice and offered to move us. Pleasant nights stay

Clean, quiet, excellent courteous staff. Desk clerk graciously showed us rooms before we chose to stay and stored our ice packs in their freezer for the night. Great waterpressure, plenty of towels. Would stop back n the way through! All in all a pleasant experience

Good value for price

Very bare bones, but for $60/ night great value for anyone passing thru. Clean and comfortable. Not sure it would be great for a week, but for a night or two, not bad at all. If price was higher I'd rate it lower, but for the price it is , pretty good. Nice staff.

Over rated

The room was well worn. The sink would not drain well and the toilet ran all night. It had a balcony but the door did not open easily and the glass was fogged over. It was clean but well used! I was told it was rated better than the Days Inn. I find it hard to believe. I would have been less critical if it were half the price or less.

A coffee machine and coffee in the rooms would be a huge asset in the hotel.

Nice staff and good location

We first found that the bed sheet was dirty, then we contacted the managers, and they replaced the sheets immediately. We booked the hotel 1 day before our stay and we found the location very convenient to downtown Owen Sound. We recommend going to Sauble beach which is a 20-30 min drive from the motel.

Low cost for one night

It certainly is a motel that needs work, but the cost reflects that. The mattresses need to be replaced. There was no directory in our room to show local restaurants and events in the area. So, we did not know until we checked out that they serve a semi-continental breakfast in the reception area. However this is a very economical motel for a one night's stay.

I've been traveling for over 2 years now, and this place ranks top 3 in service. Staff is friendly, the owner drove me to pick up supplies, and puts the effort into making the guests feel welcomed. Also- this is the cleanest room I've ever gotten at this price range! Very impressed

Not exactly a 2 star...

The room had a funny smell, like something was being cover-up, maybe some had smoked in the room before or at one tie it was a smoking room and the smell is in the fabric and carpet. It took a while to get hot water in the shower but it eventually came.

Traveling cross country on bicycles we've come across many stops. Owen Sound Inn was the perfect place for a rest day. The staff went above and beyond expectations.

Overall it was ok but I wouldn't stay there again. It would be ok for a quick stop over. The receptionist was very quick with us and I had to ask what our room number was because he didn't mention it and the number was half scratched off of the key. We stayed for one night at this hotel. The room backed to a hill covered in Snow that looked very nice. We were late on arrival, staffed called to make sure we were arriving and were waiting for ut, greeted us by name upon arrival and were super nice! The hotel is simple, but clean and a great value for the buck!

The room was clean. It certainly needed to be updated. We did have to call and ask for shampoo and a hair dryer. It was delivered to our room very quickly.

Really No pop Machine

Everything was really good up until bed time. I always take a bottle of water to bed with me because I find the air dry in hotel rooms. When I found the pop machine it was not only empty but shut off. So I had to leave to get what I was looking for.

In spite of it being a smaller highway hotel, it had the comfortable feel of a B & B with the complimentary continental breakfast and friendly staff. Definitely going the "extra mile" since it is one of the most affordable.

Hotel very clean and staff very friendly. Rooms need updating- shower tiles, toilet that runs for a lengthy time, and not enough plugs in the room to charge phones/laptop, etc. However- would go back and stay- price is right. NOTE that breakfast is only muffins, toast so don't get let down.
