Sadly, it is true. They closed a while ago. There
is a new bistro there now. It's being run by the fellows who own the antique shop next door. I haven't had a meal there yet, but I had coffee there during their opening. The atmosphere is friendly, and the place looks nice.
Owners sold the building and the new owners have different plans. The restaurant is now closed and the old owners have moved on.
Excellant friendly service. Very personal. Food was prepared really well and portion sizes were healthy. Everything tasted fresh and was appealing. My mother had just had eye service and without being asked they offered to lower the window blind. Very kind and sensitive.
Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Had a special burger with brie, avocado and pear. Came with a delicious soup, ham and pea. Finished with lemon cheesecake. All the food had lots of flavor. Enjoyed it very much.
Very nice ambience. Good food. Well prepared. A nice selection of beers.....Mill street Organic larger, excellent, and i suppose Cours Light for those who have no imagination.
If not for Tripadvisor we would have never found this place. We were in town for a hockey tournament, found this place on Tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. The menu is original, the food is extremely well prepared and the service can't be beat. If you're in Arnprior and hungry - eat here.
6 months ago we ate here and really enjoyed it. We decided to eat here again on a recent visit to Arnprior. I had the triple cheese and sweet bacon sandwich. It was delicious. My wife had the smoked meat and really enjoyed it. Both sandwiches were served on fresh focaccia bread. It was my first time having sweet bacon... more
We found this place en route from Montreal to Algonquin Park and now make it a tradition. Never mind the bread and baked goods, their caesar salad is seriously the best I have ever had. My fiancé loved the pulled pork and we both fell for a cinnamon bun. Too yummy!
As regulars at OP we are always treated to a great time by the owners who ensure our dining experience is top notch. On weekends you have the added bonus of live music to add to your enjoyment. My personal favourite is Chef Pierre's Root Beer Ribs!!!!
We tried to eat here, but were advised we should have made reservations. Sorry, we didn't know that. Whoever met us at the door (wearing a white chef-like jacket) seemed anxious for us to leave. When we inquired if he could suggest where to go - he said , "you can eat anywhere you like"!
We had prearranged to meet...

We visited this restaurant based a review in the Ottawa Citizen. We experienced superior food and service. We had Smoked Meat on Rye and the Chipotle Chicken on a Bun. In both cases the bread and the meat were delicious and servings were generous. The owner stopped at our table, introduced herself and made sure we were content. Yes, sandwiches... more
We have eaten here a dozen times since it opened. Every time we go to Arnprior we eat here. The food is all freshly made. The on site baked breads and sweets are amazing. The portions are also very large. Last time there I had the club sandwich on their multigrain bread which was excellent. Loved the candied bacon on it. They also have a liquor license so you can have a glass of wine or beers... more
First time being here and I'm very impressed with my experience . Food was amazing, and unlike most of the restaurants in arnprior they had a variety and unique style to their foods. You get great food for your money. A friend and I went in for lunch the other day and we shared a chicken ceaser salad and a... more
My wife and I have been going out for lunch once a week. We look for places in small towns that have good ratings. After reading the reviews on Our Place, we drove to Arnprior for lunch. We were not disappointed. My wife had the curried chicken salad and raved about the taste. I had the corn beef sandwich on... more
My Wife and I got home from a wonderful dinner in Arnprior. We were going to go to another restaurant but stumbled on this quaint Bakery and Bistro. One of the OWners - I think her name was Helen - saw us outside and came rushing out the door to greet us and invite us in. Very pleasant service from... more
In a sea of chain restaurants and family diners, it is nice to have a bit of relief. The food here has more of a bistro feel; high end sandwiches, quiches, tasty soups, etc. I had a nice quiche, higher end salad and yummy melon soup for lunch - very tasty, fresh and satisfying.
Awesome lunch so we came back for dinner....argentinian style steak was great...friendly owners too...a welcome culinary oasis in a desert!
What do you get a Dad who has everything -- well you treat him to a delicious meal, and thanks to our daughter that is exactly how we ended up at a wonderful spot with it's mouth watering aroma that hits you when you enter the premises (yes -- it is a bakery by day!). Close to home, easy to... more
We enjoyed a late lunch here a couple of weekends ago.
For starters, the place smelled great when we walked in, and the decor was lovely.
Service was friendly, but a bit too in-your-face, if that makes sense. I didn't come away from the meal with the feeling of relaxation and privacy that usually marks a memorable meal. Our server...

Just wanted to post that we came back on Saturday with Friends and we were very pleased again. One of our friends is a true Vegan and Chef Pierre was wonderful and made a special dish just for her that she absolutely loved. My Friend even commented that most places always make some sort of Eggplant dish and nothing else.... more
Fantastic lunches available at this cute little eatery.
I have never been for dinner, but I can only imagine it is just as tasty.
I believe they have beer and wine available for dinners.
I have never been disappointed with any lunch that I have had there.
Bring your appetite because the portions are ample.

Dropped in on a Friday night and pleasanty surprised. Tasty food, very nice dining space upstairs with great customer service and you won't walk away hungry :-) --- We'll definitely return soon.
My morning started with a sticky bun and cappucino. The pecan sticky bun was hot out of the oven. Pierre and Helen learned I was in town for the Sr. Provincial Broomball Championships. They knew I walked over frrom the Quality Inn and told me I could make their premises my home away from home while I was downtown shopping.... more
My husband and I celebrated our February bithdays at Our Place In the Prior.
We were served a basket of assorted breads and brushetta with warm brye cheese as an appetizer(yum) The wine list is excellent. They have just added home made pizza made form scratch.
My husband had their home made meat loaf while I had the sirloin steak....

Although the food wasn't terrible, the steak was over priced for what we got. When we received our meal the steak was not very hot and was very thin; resembling minute steak. That said we will likely give it a second chance.
We've been hearing a buzz about a place in Arnprior that serves local, fresh made from scratch food with live jazz on Saturday nights so we decided to investigate. By coincidence the night we were planning to visit Our Place in the Prior Bakery and Bistro we saw the Proprietors on T.V. on a local news station being interviewed. Now... more
The gas in Arnprior is 9 cents per litre cheaper than Ottawa. That means you can go fill up and eat at 'our place' for 'free'. Ding dang do.
Driving around Arnprior, we were searching for a place to grab some dinner. After passing by several places we decided on a restaurant, however we parked in front of "Our Place in the 'Prior". Right away we ditched our previous choice and entered. We noticed a sign stating that they closed at 8pm and it was already 7:30pm, so we... more
A great restaurant with high quality, local food. The baked goods are wonderful, the cinnamon bun is a must try...yummy!! There special evening meals are a bit pricier then the lunch and treats but well worth the price!!
The Owners and staff at Our Place in the 'Prior were welcoming and did everything they could to make our visit enjoyable. The food was simply amazing. Cooked fresh, from scratch, and the owners say they use local ingredients as much as possible.
I came in thinking they were a scratch bakery (which they are) and left having an amazing...
