Restaruant was closed!

We went for our reservation, and we're told the kitchen was closed, and that we would not be served any food. Hence for us to leave and comeback in two hours!

The building is gorgeous - a Gooderham mansion on Jarvis (as an aside, would love a tour!). Great patio, but a bit too cool the night we visited so sat in. Also good looking bar area. Menu? Service made it great

The food was good and the atmosphere was very nice although the service from their Italian waiter and is knowledge of the menu is what made it a great experience.

Great patio for lunch

Loved the summerlicious food. Service was a bit slow, but we were looking for a lazy lunch.

Worst service I have ever had

We came for Summerlicious on Friday July 18. We had the worst waitress. We had to request everything 2-3 times. We asked for water twice. We asked for bread twice and then gave up and asked someone else. Sit Inside!

The patio is a great place for the summer experience, but my friends have chosen to sit inside in the midst of summer. I highly recommend inside the house - it is very pretty and have some private rooms, and decorated. If you sit outside, you won't get to enjoy the beauties of this house so go sit inside, and look at the classy architecture!

Great Spot

I like that tho close to the village Ganzi is still intimate, quiet and even sexy. I enjoyed the service and my bartender Joa (Portugese) was really good. He recommended great drinks and they were amazing.

Great food, subpar service

The food at this place is great. I especially liked the tiramisu and marguerita pizza.
However the service we received was subpar. We visited Osteria Dei Ganzi at 5 pm on a weekday night, and it was not busy. We recently went to Osteria Dei Ganzi for a Summerlicous dinner. The menu choices were great - both vegetarian and meat loving choices. Although the service was a little slow near the end of our dinner as the restaurant got very busy, we really didn't mind as it gave us a chance to tour the mansion inside as well as enjoy the relaxing experience outside. Highly recommended.

So. Disappointing. They have some of the best real estate in Toronto with an amazing patio. Its a huge shame the food is so horrible and the servers are so inexperienced.

It's ok.

It's fine but not spectacular. The service was top-notch and so friendly. Our pizzas were bland but the crust was good. The noise level inside was too high to hear across the table.

Good Food although very busy

We ate here during World Pride and the service was friendly and the food good even if the staff were no doubt stretched by the festivities around the area.
No complaints and the restaurant was able to provide a table for 10 and dealt with the orders efficiently

I bring my friends to Ganzi all the time - it's a beautiful restaurant with great food and service. It's nice that it's right down the street from my apartment.

Good Food, great service

It's a more casual and noisy place that what we thought, but food and service are great. Notable is the fact that waiters and bar tenders know their drinks and wine, and not just pretend like in some other Italian places... Can't wait to experience the outdoor dining, seems like a fun place to be in summer (if it ever comes this year)

Cool spot

We booked this on a whim on Open Table and I'm so glad we did. It's set in an old mansion- and you're literally in the house. The food was delicious- and we eat a lot of Italian! House wine selection could have been a little better though.

A charming, hidden spot

Been here twice, really enjoyed it and would definitely return again and recommend it to friends. The food is very good, service is also very attentive and best of all the atmosphere is very cozy & romantic. Last time I went I enjoyed a steak, it was a pleasant surprise. I took my girlfriend for a birthday dinner at Ganzi last week. I was looking for a nice Italian place in a good area, when I came across Ganzi. Everything about the dinner was absolutely perfect and I couldn't have asked for more.

Neighbourhood Surprise

This is a relatively new restaurant, unknown even to the hotel just down the street. Service was excellent, choice was interesting, food was attractively presented, beef was better than seafood, dessert was a nice completion to the meal. Dined here with a party of 20 recently. We were seated next to a party of 6, all of whom arrived after and were served before us. It took over two hours to receive our meals. We were told that usually parties of our size would be given a fixed menu, but that didn't happen for some reason. The server appologized, but offered nothing to compensate this unacceptable delay.

AMAZING! 2nd Time Around

This place is SPOT ON! Been twice and both times, the service, food and beverage far exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic

I recently went to Ganzi for dinner the atmosphere was amazing, the location was absolutely beautiful, and the waiters were very professional and kind. The food and drinks were incredibly delicious for the price and the pizza made me feel like I was back in Italy. I would recommend this place to anyone! Loved it!!!

I went to Ganzi for drinks at the bar with my friend and we had a great time. We ended up sharing a pizza and a desert which both were amazing. The cocktails we had that night were outstanding.
