Horrible service. Owner was nice at the begining but forgot we were there. He never came back to give us the bill. I think he was racist due that we were a multicultural group. Never support those kind of businesses
Wow, who would have thought... an authenic Irish pub/restaurant in downtown Regina. This establishment was recommended by the front desk clerk at the Wyndam Hotel... She was bang on... Great place, great food and drink and wonderful staff... I'll be back there again, next time I am in Regina.
We frequent this local pub for lunch and have never had a bad meal. They have great piizzas, cold beer and if you are fortunate enough to have the owner serve you, you have a lunch filled with jokes and good humour. Definitely a must visit!!
Ok, I am gob smacked. Ordered the bangers and mash, I got a bowl of gravy with three round burnt things, I couldn't put my fork I to it. I picked up what I assume should be the sausage and realized it was probably about 2 weeks old, pulled out the fridge and nuked to dust in the microwave! The... more
I haven't really eaten here besides stealing my friend's sweet potato fries (yum!)
I found the staff attentive, the food better than average, and the beer cold; not particularly cheap; but what more can you ask for. I don't think there is anything else quite like it in Regina.
Decided to stay for dinner. Service was very slow; it took a long time for a server to get us drinks, let alone menus. Most of the menu items were Italian (calamari, bruschetta, pizza) but we thought a burger would be a safe bet considering it was an Irish pub. I ordered the Bolgman's with a side salad with greek vinagrette. The burger was meh and the greek vinagrette tasted more like balsamic... more
Good location, great atmosphere and amazing servers. In town for a 2-day trip, and found myself coming back to try more of their house lagers. Definitely recommend.
Caught this place on a random night before i had to fly to BC. Trivia night, good appys and beer. I think it was gay night, all honestly... but the vibe was great none the less. Ill definitely be back next stop over
If you want to eat soggy pizza and drink watered down beer -come to O'hanlon's. Far better places to eat in Regina than this dump.
Others commented that this place was slow to ask you what you want but if you go to the bar... The staff are friendly and quick to get you a drink and food. Just place your order at the bar and have a seat. I enjoyed a plate of fish & chips with a local pint of black Irish lager... more
The restaurant/bar offers outdoor seating in a picnic table style across from Victoria Park. The service is good however the patio is a tight fit and difficult to maneuver. You can however meet nice and crazy people.
We always enjoy going there. The crowd is quite young so if older you need to go earlier in the evening. However, the beer is always cold and the food (especially the irish stew) is always hot and tasty.
It was nice to finally find a spot on Regina with a patio open! Sat outside at the picnic tables. I think the waitress may have also had a big section inside or something. She was friendly and asked where I was from but I didn't see her much. Ordered the Sundried tomato and chicken melt with Caesar salad.
decent prices, but service is terrible and the food had been decreasing in quality every time I go. Sorry guys, great ambiance, lousy service and food that used to be really good has become mediocre at best.
If you are looking for a great pub atmosphere in Regina, look no further. This place is as authentic as they come as it's is owned and run by an immigrant Irish pub manager, the inimitable Nialls O'Hanlon. Under his guidance, this little bar in a little city has become the top-seller of Guinness in Canada and is in the... more
It was very funny, I entered this place, stayed there for more than 15 minutes and NOBODY asked me if I wanted something! I decided to go to a different place, I can believe they have this terrible service... more
bit grundgy and basic. maybe that is the Canadian version of an Irish pub but definitely a beer swilling, drinkers pub. OK but not my cup of tea
Yes service may be slightly lacking BUT the crew that works at ohan's is top notch and never have I gone there where I haven't had a wonderful time so niles you do good work!
O'Hanlon's keeps expanding and the service keeps going downhill. A few of us from my office were there on Friday and waiting at least 15 minutes to be acknowledged; eventually we went to the bar to get our own drinks. Once finished we watched the server help others around us as we waited with our empty glasses. When someone finally did help us the attitude was poor. The server walked away... more
After reviewing on trip advisor, and not being in the mood for a drawn out affair, we visited O'Hanlons on a Monday evening. You could tell it would likely be a great place to be entertained on a Friday or Saturday evening, very authentic and built to entertain. That being said we were hoping for an above average pub meal.... more
Some claim to be an Irish pub but this really really is. The operator is right from Ireland and knows what he's doing. Food is also good.
Been here a couple of times, it is more of a club environment on the weekends now, not really pubbish anymore. One time we ordered two coffees on a weekday night and the owner asked for my ID and curtly said "This isn't a coffee shop". That was sort of strange, I must look young.
The good: probably best spot in YQR for a Guinness. Nice, simple summer patio bordering Victoria Park. Any season Friday night is busy - usually with happy end-o-week revellers. Bar service is prompt and friendly.
Really liked o'Hanlons. The barmen are gracious and readily offer up samples. The tap selection is not huge but the microbrews we had were delicious. The place is surprisingly spacious and they have a stage for music. They were playing a string of Van morrison songs while we were there. We hope to visit again soon.
The best Irish pub in Saskatchewan. Lots of locals and new Irish immigrants frequent this bar. Food is good. Service is amazing. You can be older or younger and everyone feels comfortable
Neat place to go to, very differant crowd. Nice to hang out or have a drink. Food is great! Atmosphere is fun.
Had to wait 15 min for server and another 15 min to get my beer but the football game was on so I did not go as mental as I normally would have. Had wings and All Dressed Pizza and it was suprisingly good. They had a Trivia night on which was very enjoyable. Spotty service throughout evening but it seems everyone just endures it and has a good time.
Curry poutine is great! Spinach and feta pizza is good too!
I have been to O'Hanlons on a number of ocassions and have had excellent service and excellent food, but recently I find the wait staff have become slow and b@!%hy. After selecting a seat at a table on the patio we waited for 35 minutes before going inside to grab our own drinks. Waitresses were serving other tables and two different waitresses walked past our table but never acknowledged us. I... more
Visited O'Hanlon's Pub last week while on business in Regina and was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome, tasty beer and excellent pizza. Would highly recommend the 'Fred's special' pizza, and my colleagues enjoyed the Irish stew as well. The servers are loads of fun and you feel at home right away. Great little pub!
Great food, great atmosphere, great CS... DJ could be better, played c@!%!y music entire night.... does not take request or at least not from me :( ... been going to O'Halons for a while, previous DJ played way better music and much more friendly guy
Very much enjoyed my Friday night. Service was excellent and the selection of beer great. Burger was very adequate for pun food. Waitress even gave me sample of their brews. Very good pub!
Always a good time for a Friday or Saturday night out.
Regina has a lot of pubs/bars, but I dare say this is the only authentic Irish one we have. Niall (the owner) is from Ireland, and is always happy to pour you (properly, I might add) a Guinness. The food is quite good, as it ranges from traditional Irish pub fare (Shepherd's Pie, Bangers & Mash, etc) to burgers. Another... more
Pros: Amazing pub food. Great beer selection. Astounding staff. Perfect relaxed atmosphere.
Just that, atmosphere, nice small venue...what's not to like?
Had the perogie pizza and it was all I had hoped for and was relatively cheap. The beers are good with a very impressive selection of stouts on offer. On the downside, the service is a bit hit and miss. I don't mind tipping, in fact if it's damn good service I will go out of my way and ensure I leave a 15 or 20 per cent tip but what I don't like is when you order a $8 pint and the bar staff... more
just a great spot; good selection of beers (loved the Harp) and irish snack foods; likely the best character of any pub in Saskatchewan
went out for drinks and I thought I would give ohans a try again. Still too damn hot upstairs with those freak'n heat lamps for lights and man was the service the pitts. Waited 25 mins for drinks and when you went up to the bar they were rude and for how busy it was at that time there were a lot of bar staff just ignoring all the guests. Always disappointing at Regina's most popular pub.
The pizza is from Copper Kettle (pricey, but really tasty pizza). Haven't really had anything else but the selection of beer is good. My preferred place to grab a guinness!
