Good value for the price
August 13, 2014Nice, clean room with 2 queen beds. There was cross ventilation, so we didn't need to use the AC at night. There was a sweet spray smell in the room which was a bit strong, but otherwise everything was fine.

Clean and Basic
July 03, 2014This small motel had a great location and the owner was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were your basic style motel rooms. The place was clean and quite had everything you need. We would stay here again.

Friendly, clean and good location
September 30, 2013Arrived late at night after a long drive and found this place. No barganing about the 99 dollar unfortunately, but the price/quality was definately ok. Friendly folks and the rooms and locations are very good. Near a few restaurants and bars. All in all a pleasant short stay.

Nice location and room
September 27, 2013We stayed here for one night and enjoyed a relaxing time. We also enjoyed the sun on the chairs by the grass at the back of the motel. The room itself was spacious, comfortable and very clean. As others say its across from the beach but it's also close to places to eat and so we just walked to dinner... more

Hardest bed, pillows and chairs on the planet. Toilet closer to the floor than the tiles
September 20, 2013Never ever felt a bed or chairs that hard in my life. Bed is a mattress on top of a solid wooden box no give at all. Reclining chairs are the same. Cheap and pleasant stay

Overnight stop
July 11, 2013This was a pleasant surprise, a stopover between from the Aurora Explorer Coastal trip and the Nanaimo ferry. Very clean, roomy, location across the street from the beach. Good value, older-style motel
May 10, 2013Ocean Crest has everything you need: quiet, clean, comfortable, walking distance to good restaurants and pubs and only a short walk to the water-front. There is also a nice garden area to sit out and there's a BBQ which I assume is for guests' use.

Excellent value for the money
August 01, 2012The motel, while on the main road, was nice and quiet. They have a noise policy which seemed to be honored. The rooms were air conditioned and the beds were quite comfortable. It was walking distance to the beach and nearby restaurants and pub. Great value for the money!

Excellent value
August 25, 2010This motel is the best deal around. It is an older motel but rooms are very clean, bright, and the kitchenette was well equipped. Location is great - right across the road from the beach with beach access down a little road. At $114 for four of us, this was great value.
