August 22, 2014I have been living here for a month now for work. So far the hotel has been pretty good. Cleaning staff is hit and miss. There seems to be one cleaning staff that is really amazing....room is always perfect. Wonderful Nights Stay
July 02, 2014My 6 yr daughter had surgery and we needed a hotel to stay in close to the hospital. The Staff at the Nova Inn went above and beyond to make our stay super pleasant. The room felt more like a home then a hotel! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Poor customer reception
May 31, 2014Parking was full, had to park on side of building and walk through mud and water to get to lobby. Front desk person didn't acknowledge we were standing at front desk waiting to check in and when she did finally lift her head to look did not say a thing. Great time
March 28, 2014The staff is amazing. The general manager is incredibly helpfull and understanding. The room smelt great and verry neat. I spent two weeks there and have not found better staff anywhebre. Ill stay there every time I visit thanks for a great experience guys!

Stayed here on business for one night. The room was on the 2nd floor. Had a fireplace, portable AC unit, one queen bed, large sitting area and a decent bathroom.

We had a good sleep, although other guests arrived late and loud. breakfast is a simple DIY. rooms are OK.
The location is convenient. Nova Inn is close to Tim Horton's and Walmart. Would'nt mind staying here again.

Good value hotel in PR
May 30, 2013I recently stayed in 3 different hotels in the Peace River region....paid $109 (before taxes) with a breakfast included. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable...a quiet hotel that I would use again. No pool or restaurant attached however this was not a disincentive to my stay.

This is no place for the faint of heart. Mud everywhere, on the luggage cart, front entrance, hallways, elevator. I wondered if the people tracking the mud did the same in their own homes.

Not bad by Peace River standards
September 23, 2012Stayed one night on a trip north, Hotel caters to oilfield workers and truck drivers. Our room was clean but the whole hotel seemed dirty. Too many trucks parked in the lot near our room coming in and starting up at all hours.

October 12, 2011several workers filled the nova during the shutdown and am being told for the time being due to a shortage of staff thier rooms can not be cleaned .. but the price still varies between 90 and 140 a night,, One person reported being warned not to complain or could be removed from the hotel,,

October 08, 2011So.... one month of staying at the Nova, pushed me to share this review. Housekeeping once a week maybe twice if your lucky. Not to mention the light switches, main wall by the garbage, doors and knobs were neglected and obviously filthy. The house keeping at the Nova makes BCMI look sanitary. Decent room @ decent price
June 21, 2011Hotel lobby reaks of mold! Room is decently appointed with mini kitchenette & fireplace (could really use a side chair though.) bathtub is awesome even though there are cigarette burns in it :( can't blame the hotel just idiot guests! Overall - good place to stay!

I faithfully rely on Trip Advisor reviews in booking hotels, but this was a real surprise considering it is rated #1.
Location: Easy to find off Highway #2, but still in a developing area with very limited parking and surrounded by muddy lots if you are unfortunate to pull in late in the rain.

Troubling stay

Do not stay in room 424 because it is far to loud and poorly cooled. There is a main air duct connected to what must be the air handling unit for the building. Every 15 minutes or so the unit fires up and rumbles the entire room.
For some reason the room also has a permanently connected portable air conditioning...

This Nova Inn, a 4 floor still-newsish hotel, is easy to find. It's just off Hwy 2, next to a 24 hr IGA & Tim Hortons. There's also McDonald's, TD Bank, Shoppers Drug Mart, and a Walmart SuperCentre in the small 'big box' area adjacent. Hotel front entrance has sensored doors that automatically open.

I have stayed in almost all of the hotels and motels in the Peace River area over the past 2 years. The Nova Inn is by far the best place to stay, if you like: clean rooms and public areas, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and good service.

Nice new hotel
July 19, 2007This hotel is brand new and very nice. The rooms are large, with fireplaces and satellite TV. The location is up on the hill in the newer area of Peace River, which is nice as well. The only bad thing was that the free continental breakfast didn't have much selection and was very picked over.
