Nota Bene was named Canada's Best New Restaurant By Toronto Life & Air Canada's EnRoute Magazine and was voted as one of Canada's Top Ten New Restaurants by Where Magazine
It's "easy to find something tempting" at this "hip", "happening" Queen West Canadian proffering "carefully sourced", "inventive" plates so "exquisite" acolytes add it to their "bucket list"; it's "not cheap" and "acoustics aren't the best", but "discreet yet wonderfully attentive" service in the "sleek", "beautifully designed" space helps make it a "tremendously" enjoyable experience for most.
we went there for winterlicious, the food were OK, but not "great", and for the price it didn't live up to the expectation. i really disliked how they made their menu to include wine but not their price, it looked as if it's included in the 3 course dinner. not going back again and not recommending it
AVOID! Overpriced and mediocre food – but the worst part is the customer service.
We attended with several friends (9 people total) - we brought 3 bottles of champagne with us. Corkage was advertised on their website as $35 bottle, and 1 "free" corkage after 9pm. Our bill was over $1600 and we were charged corkage for all 3. When we questioned the comparatively puny extra charge the “manager”...

GREAT SERVICE! The lobster is delicious and the steak is also very well, I will come here next time
Very nice ambience. Allows for good business lunches as sound and noise are not an issue. Superb fast service, truly flawless, ! We ordered an horderves for the table and was excellent. Sesame chicken salad and lobster salads were excellent. Over all excellent place for timely work lunch!

Good menu that hasn't changed much since they opened. Nothing here is pushing any boundaries but everything is certainly solid.
Excellent! Good service, everything was on time, big selection of wines. They helped me had a pleasant evening!
Good experience and great service, especially at the bar area. Consistent.
Location is very convenient. Food is ok not exceptional. Service i would say can be better.

Always coming out perfectly cooked is one positive, bland original concepts with flavor combinations is obvious though. Sad to say, but true. Even their... more
I have been to many different restaurants in Toronto - Vertical, Bymark, etc - and in the end, I have to say Nota Bene had the best experience out of all of them.
Magnificent service, polite, well timed, very helpful and pleasant. What else can anybody ask for? They didn't interrupt any conversations, they were present when needed, and provided excellent advise for choice of wines.
