Gem in downtown Wpg

Clean, quiet, comfortable - nice home away from home. Tiled bathroom, great bed, all the amenities needed. Close to many services (bank, shops, spa, etc.). Jolly Friar restaurant is a delight (rustic cottage country vibe). I've stayed in bigger hotels and enjoyed them less!

A good place to stay

This a nice hotel in down town Winnipeg. It is not very large but has all the amenities you need. It is a conference center as well as a hotel. It is attached to a restaurant and bar. If you want there are a lot of down town activities not very far away.

Well, very happy to find a Hotel downtown, location is very good. Stayed on the 5th floor. The carpet is a bit tired. Pleasantly surprised

1st time with this hotel but we will be back + have told our friends about it as well. Chose it for the location (close to the grandchildren) but was won over by the restaurant + bar. Stayed here about a half a dozen times and was pleased each time. Close to St. Boniface hospital , and great restaurants such as Pasqualis and Santa Lucia .beer store in parking lot and liquor store a cross the street. Also very quiet, nice people at check in, secure parking lot. Would recommend.

Great Find

We booked this after being unable to book our regular Hotel Inn on the Forks. This hotel is clean, walking distance to the Forks and is inexpensive. We'll be staying here on all future visits to Winnipeg. Bonus is that it has a great restaurant for breakfast.

The location is convenient to all the city sights and facilities, being just across the rivers from The Forks, and close to several city bus routes and the train station. All the staff were very friendly and obliging, and I was able to leave excess luggage between stays when I went north for a few days. On Marion street, close to all major downtown attraction. The Norwood is ackward...some fresher touch like the main floor, but almost outdated corridors and definitly going out of style rooms. We spent 3 days at this hotel for a wedding in September, 2012.
The accomodations were very good, the service was great.
The proximity to several St Boniface attractions made it easy to do some sightseeing.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the downtown area of Winnipeg and for the parking lot that was able to accommodate my trailer. Overall a great stay, rooms were nice- probably one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on!

We checked in about 3:30 pm on Saturday. I am hearing impaired and my wife felt I was not treated as considerately as I might have been by the gentleman staffing the front desk. When I did not understand him, he did not speak up or purposely face me.

Would definitely stay here again

Clean, comfortable hotel, with friendly staff, and the best hotel restaurant food we've ever had. We were in Winnipeg for medical reasons and found the Health Sciences Centre was only a ten minute taxi ride away, and bus transportation was easily accessible. We definitely would stay at the Norwood again.

It is not the fanciest hotel I have been to, but the bed is comfortable and the room is clean. It is in Saint-Boniface, so it is close to different attraction.

This hotel is ideally situated near the Forks and St. Boniface. It is a great location for exploring WInnipeg on foot. The rooms feel more luxorious than the typical chain hotels but the price is very reasonable.
