Love our sushi restaurant in Westsyde

The people are very friendly and make a point of getting to know you as you order more frequently. The Sushi is lovely and never disappoints. Very fortunate to have this place in our community!

I have dinner here at least every second month since they have opened, the food is always good, service is good, busy right at dinner. Recommend eating a little later or you may have to wait. It is worth the wait.

We have visited this restaurant several times, some times for take out dinners. Service is efficient and food is tasty. We recommend.

Working lunch

This is one of the best neighbourhood sushi restaurants I have had the pleasure visiting.
From the all so pleasant waitress to the folks behind the counter creating mouth watering masterpieces of raw fish, the lunch time ambience is fabulous for a working lunch.

Just not very good

I only went here once and that was enough ... it's probably the worst sushi I have had. The rice was mushy and it didn't taste fresh at all. I'm not super picky but this was terrible and it was expensive. I drive to downtown... more

Disappointed

Phoned in a reservation this morning, got voicemail and the server didn't know about the booking when we arrived. Show to a table where the floor was really sticky (beer I'd guess). Miso was ordered to start and it was horrible. Bland and not really... more

Gone downhill - I'm so sad

This place used to be the best. Sadly today it let us down. First off, the floor all around our table was sticky from something that hadn't been properly cleaned up.
Everything is geared towards "cheap". Diluted Miso, diluted soy sauce, c@!%!y napkins etc etc.... more

Sushi has always been served in a timely manner. Perfect place for a date night or some good eats and sake with friends. Staff has been exceptionally courteous. I have been pleasantly surprised many times with complimentary dishes while bringing my girlfriend along for dinner.... more

This place is great. Wonderful sushi. I have tried a large variety of what they have and have not been disappointed. They also have a few rolls prepared so you can run in a grab something on the fly. Way better, more rolls and cheaper than the grocery stores. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent, interesting sushi.  Staff is great and always go  above and beyond.  Great eat In or take out.

Food is not that good, and the owner is not nice to customers, never back to there. There are  good sushi restaurants in town, but Nishino definitely is outside this circle.
