We have ordered from Taste on India several times before, but after tonight's meal, never will again. Everything tasted like something I could have purchased in the grocery store - what a disappointment.

Quiet atmosphere and enjoyable food

My husband and I really enjoy going to this restaurant. It's always quiet, and is clean and comfortable. The food is simple and good. It may not be a gourmet place, but it's enjoyable and we go there regularly.

My mom and I went here for dinner once with a Groupon, thinking we both like Indian food and had never tried this place (didn't even know it existed!). So in we go, with low expectations, figuring it could swing one of two ways. Either be really good, or really terrible.

A break-up with my (formerly) favourite restaurant

This review almost breaks my heart -- since 2002, when I first discovered Taste of India, it's been my favourite restaurant. But I can't recommend it anymore. It often comes up for Groupons... save your money, and go to a different Indian restaurant. Or buy Indian dinners from the grocery story. Either option would be better than Taste of India... more

Second dine in experience at this restaurant and the food is excellent. We had the Tandoori Mosala and Kashmiri Chicken both where incredible. They will adjust the heat level to whatever you request you only have to ask. Staff are very friendly. Will return again and again.

Consistently good

My wife and I went to use another groupon and had the same meal as our last trip. The mixed appetizers, Taste of India Platter and Butter Chicken. Not really worth it

I came here with a groupon and was dissapointed. The waitress was nice but service was minimal. Atmosphere is nil to none. This place needs a serious update! Good Nan

If you like Nan, this is the place to be, we had vindaloo which was also good. Someone this place looks shady but beleive me Iam Indian and these guys make good north indian food.

Reheated leftovers, nothing fresh

We had a Groupon voucher for this restaurant, but I don't think having a voucher is an excuse for the restaurant to serve reheated, old curry and rice to customers. don't be in a hurry - but very good food

Do NOT come here if you’re in a hurry. Excellent food – cooked fresh from when you order. And you know it’s going to take 20 minutes for the rice.

Excellent restaurant! Best Indian food in London! Get the takeout, the dine in business is not the best! The takeout is well worth it! I go often, and it is varies in spice. Could be very hot and mild other times.

I can't really fault the food here as it's been excellent each time I've been to this place. Their madras curry packs a significant punch, their bhuna curry is amazing, and their mixed vegetable bhaji packs a lot of flavour.
