Simplicity is the order of the day in this unpretentious room smack in the middle of the hordes. The combination chicken and beef teriyaki, served on a sizzling platter, is delicious. So is the assorted sashimi, cool and firm bites of the usual seafood suspects, nicely presented.
Got a California Roll, as I thought- a could not go wrong item menu.
Was very disappointed with the freshness, taste and overall quality. Also, the price was more than any other sushi restaurant I have been at.
Instead of the typical 8 pieces, you only got 6, and it was just bad.
Good location, but other than that, wouldn't go back.
This restaurant is right across the street from the Blue Horizon Hotel on 1230 Robson Street. I always order the sushi roll and Chicken Teriyaki boat dish (the dish is shaped like a boat!). The chicken teriyaki is crunchy on top and the chicken is perfectly cooked and tastes just great. I've had many chicken teriyakis from excellent restaurants in... more
Recently had lunch here whilst on vacation in Vancouver. it doesn't look much from the outside and the decor inside is very basic. However it was quite busy for a lunchtime.
We had sushi and sashimi which was very good and excellent quality. The price of the food was also reasonable and the service was prompt.

I lived in downtown so tried almost every food on menu, and they were mostly all fantastic. But some visits, I got low quality sasimi. Especially the last time I visit, tuna wasn't as good as usual so I was very disappointed.
"New" Asahi???? GIVE ME THE OLD ONE BACK ANYDAY!!!!
Stopped by here with a guest yesterday. I'm not sure which restaurant fellow reviewer Jacquee went to but this is not a 5 star restaurant?
$9.75 for med plate of Sashimi - gets your 3 pieces farmed salmon and 2 pieces of tuna. - LUKEWARM.

Expensive for what you get, and slow service. There is much better sushi around.
FRESH fish that is SUPER cheap.
We ordered 8 different rolls and then endless pieces of sake, toro, red tuna, regualar tuna, and red snapper nigiri.
The oysters are amazing too. And cheap.
I wish I could eat toro everyday at least once a day.
The J-boy waiter here is also super cute.
